Anyone who values his or her life would naturally not put themselves between wanted terrorist killers and the forces pursuing them. It would appear the “Palestinians” don’t value their lives very highly, despite their shrieking diatribes to the contrary, and should subsequently stop complaining when they are killed in the crossfire of a war their terrorist “heroes” started with Israel.

Freeing terrorists is a bad idea. Here’s why
November 16th, 2006 · 26 Comments
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has given his “word of honor” to release hundreds, perhaps thousands of “Palestinian” security prisoners as a goodwill gestures he hopes will move the two sides closer to peace.
Why is this a bad idea? Two reasons.
French arrogance and naivety - recipe for defeat
September 12th, 2006 · 11 Comments
Excepting the period of Napolean’s reign, French arrogance and naivety regarding their neighbors and the world at large have only brought defeat for that proud nation over the past several hundred years.
And now the French expect the rest of the West to follow their lead when it comes to dealing with global Islamic terror.
Said French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin to the French National Assembly last week:
“Against terrorism, it is not a war that has to be fought, but — as France has done for years — a determined struggle based on constant vigilance and effective cooperation with our partners.”
But those “partners” he speaks of - entities like Syria, Iran, the Palestinian Authority, Saudi Arabia, etc - are the very ones facilitating terrorism! Cooperation with them will only embolden them to continue playing the terror card, even if discreetly.
Villepin went on to absolve the practitioners of terrorism of all guilt by claiming the phenomenon is an alien concept that has attached itself to real crises in order to spur senseless violence.
He then played apologist for Al Qaeda, Hizb’allah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc by suggesting those crises were in fact justification for terrorist violence against the party purportedly causing the grievance.
“We will never bring this plague to an end except by also fighting against injustice, violence, against crises.”
But Villepin really took the cake with his concluding statement:
“It is the duty of France and Europe to show that the clash of civilizations is not an inevitability. It is only we — French and Europeans — who bear this wisdom inherited from history.”
Ironically, France, under Emperor Charlemagne, was the first European power to repulse Islam’s long desire to overrun the Christian-dominated continent, in what is and always has been a “clash of civilizations.”
To follow the advice of France’s modern leadership is to play right into the hands of Allah and his followers. In light of the past century of French blunders and defeats, we should know better.
Teaching the terrorists ‘lessons’
September 3rd, 2006 · 10 Comments
As anti-terror operations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip draw to a close, Israel is teaching its terrorist antagonists some lessons, but if recent media reports are to be believed, they are not the lessons most would have hoped for.
According to Israel’s largest newspaper (and Egyptian newspapers before that), Jerusalem is prepared to release up to 800 jailed terrorists in return for the freedom of IDF Corporal Gilad Shalit. This after weeks of clandestine negotiations, despite Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s public declarations that Israel would not negotiate with terrorists or succumb to blackmail.
Similarly, rumors are rife of a possible prisoner exchange with Hizb’allah.
Interestingly, both of these prisoner swaps, if indeed they are in the works, would take place after major Israeli military operations sparked by the abductions. Israel could have agreed to and conducted an exchange without going to war in Gaza and Lebanon.
It would seem to defeat justification of going to war (to create a future deterrent) if Israel anyway intends to give the terrorists what they wanted in the first place. And it certainly signals to both Hamas and Hizb’allah that future kidnappings will be worthwhile.
Israel is apparently operating under the misguided assumption that the terrorists will view future kidnappings as too costly because of the men they lost during this summer’s fighting. What Jerusalem for some reason fails to grasp, even after all this time, is that the numbers of men lost in the fighting or gained in the subsequent prisoner swaps are unimportant to the terrorists. What matters is the precedent, the damage to Israel’s morale, and the further deterioration of Israel’s image in the region as a power not to be tempted.
Death is staring Israel in the face
September 3rd, 2006 · 14 Comments
I know Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has put his “convergence” plan on the back burner for now, but that doesn’t mean he has forgotten about it or doesn’t plan to still implement it. After all, he and his colleagues insisted during the election campaign that Israel has no other hope but to surrender Arab-dominated Judea and Samaria.
But even if Olmert and his buddies were right in asserting that holding the cradle of Jewish civilization poses a demographic threat to the modern Jewish state (and they are not), the more immediate threat of having all Israel covered by short-range enemy rocket fire should raise some giant red flags.
Imagine all of northern Israel to the Jezreel Valley under attack from Hizb’allah’s 10,000 rockets, the populous central region taking fire from Samaria, Jerusalem being bombarded by Judea-based rocket cells, and Beersheva, Ashkelon and the south suffering a barrage of Gaza-launched missiles. After last month’s Lebanon war, that scenario must be viewed as realistic. And if it does happen, it will completely shut this nation down. No business, no commerce, no air travel, no tourism, etc. The desolation that existed in northern Israel from July 12 to August 14 of this summer would extend to every border of the Jewish state.
The demographic threat is a theory, an assumption. The rockets are a very real and proven threat.
Terrorism: crime or act of war?
August 3rd, 2006 · 6 Comments
Much of the world is continuing to have trouble deciding if Islamic terrorism is a mere crime, or an act of war. This stems from the fact that while major terror groups usually have state sponsors, their actions are not carried out on behalf of any particular nation.
Even so, the real problem is the liberal humanistic mindset that now dominates international decision making. It insists on seeing the world according to national boundaries, when in fact the enemy is spiritual, transcending current borders. This has started to change in both Israel and the US, though both nations continue to resist the notion that the world is experiencing a clash of civilizations or religions. Continue reading »
What happens when you mix rogue regimes and terror
July 15th, 2006 · 1 Comment
The combination of rogue Islamic regimes and terrorist organizations is a recipe for instability and mass bloodshed, and was consequently one of the primary justifications behind America’s invasion of Iraq.
Terrorist organizations are far more likely to, as the Saudis put it, engage in “irresponsible adventurism.” They only lack the resources available to a sovereign state.
Throw in an Iran, add a little Syria, and you have a well-armed, technologically-advanced, foaming-mouthed terrorist organization like Hizb’allah that is light years ahead of its “Palestinian” allies.
Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah and all their buddies could not in their wildest dreams hope to knock out an Israeli warship.
Thank God the US took out Saddam Hussein, or we may be in a lot more trouble than we are today.
Why does Israel play down terror?
July 6th, 2006 · No Comments
It is sometimes mind-boggling to watch Israel play down the threat of “Palestinian” terrorism. Especially when doing so is so very detrimental to both the nation’s security and its efforts to win the media war, and by extension the sympathy of the international community. Continue reading »
What happens when you arm the ‘Palestinians’
June 16th, 2006 · 7 Comments
Unbelievable to most, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert this week ordered the transfer of 375 assault rifles to Palestinian Authority security forces tasked with protecting PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas.
Unsurprisingly, those Israeli-supplied weapons have already been used for a much different task - the murder of Jews. Israel made this same mistake in arming Yasser Arafat’s forces following the signing of the “Oslo Accords.” It was repeated with the signing of several subsequent worthless scraps of paper.
How many times can Israel commit the same deadly blunders as it tries in vain to convince its buddies in the West that the Jews are the good guys in this story?
How not to respond to terror
April 24th, 2006 · 12 Comments
A glimpse into the depths of delusion:
“Suicide” bomber slaughters nine and wounds more than 60 others in Tel Aviv.
Hamas-led Palestinian Authority unsurprisingly endorses said bombing.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert declares that said endorsement of said bombing is evidence that the PA is no peace partner.
Israel will respond by surrendering in return for nothing the lands that the PA had hoped to gain through negotiations, says Olmert.
Is this failing to make sense to anyone else?
Does anyone, outside of Israel’s own delusional leaders, believe this will NOT encourage Hamas and their fellow terrorists to mass murder more Jews?
Or is Jewish blood really less valuable than the very temporary international acceptance and accolades Olmert & Co. believe they will receive for dividing this land at all costs?
