What is left out of reports from Hebron

August 8th, 2007  ·  6 Comments

The Israeli and international medias are abuzz with reports out of Hebron regarding yesterday’s forced removal of two Jewish families from an old wholesale market building they took over outside of the tiny defined Jewish area of the biblical town.

Nearly every report I have read makes it sound as though these families invaded an active market and evicted the poor Arabs who were trying to do business there. The truth, however, is that this particular market has been abandoned for over 13 years. The Jewish families in question moved into an empty building adjacent to the present-day Avraham Aveinu neighborhood. Continue reading »

Consciously choosing hypocrisy

July 24th, 2007  ·  4 Comments

It is not even a challenge any more to find daily examples of the international community’s hypocrisy when it comes to the Israeli-Arab conflict. Today we hear that Lebanese military forces have razed a Palestinian “refugee camp” in their country and killed an untold number of people. The world’s response? Nada. Continue reading »

Egypt, the Sudanese refugees and an uncaring world

June 14th, 2007  ·  10 Comments

An Israeli investigative news television program carried a story last night regarding a four-year-old Sudanese girl who was abducted by Egyptian soldiers last month as she and her family tried to make their way into Israel.

Many Sudanese fleeing from the genocide in Darfur have made their way to Egypt, only to find their hosts nearly as hostile as the Arab militiamen who drove them from their homeland. Those who have read a Bible or have knowledge of the Nazi Holocaust have then turned to Israel and the Jews for refuge. Continue reading »

More war on terror double standards

May 27th, 2007  ·  16 Comments

Lebanon’s military forces have for the past week been pounding Islamic terrorists operating out of a Palestinian “refugee camp” in the north of the country. Not wanting to risk large military casualties, the Lebanese army has primarily been using tank fire and artillery to target their enemies.

According to numbers presented by the media, at least 50 terrorists have been killed, along with untold numbers of civilians.

It’s not about the ‘occupation’

May 10th, 2007  ·  2 Comments

In an interview with The Jerusalem Post this week, British Ambassador to Israel Tom Phillips contended that Israel’s negative image in Britain and the world stems from it being an “occupying power.” He couldn’t be more wrong.

And again the media is silent!

February 28th, 2007  ·  33 Comments

Israeli police recently apprehended a gang of six Israeli Arabs that brutally raped at least four Jewish girls in northern Israel over the past two years in solidarity with their “Palestinian” brethren.

A suiting display of homage to and support for such a violent society, I suppose.

The Palestinians are clever PR snakes

February 27th, 2007  ·  7 Comments

Meryl Yourish already noted the diabolical cleverness of Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal when on Monday he turned the tables on Israel by insisting that Jerusalem “recognize the Palestinian state’s right to exist.”

Mashaal remained on game today when he very vaguely hinted that maybe, just maybe, Hamas might think about making peace with Israel at some undefined point in the unforeseeable future.

What if Jewish boys had hacked an Arab to death?

February 27th, 2007  ·  20 Comments

By now, anyone concerned enough about Israel to look beyond what the mainstream international press is reporting knows that on Sunday, two knife-wielding “Palestinian” teenagers ambushed and brutally murdered a Jewish man while he was praying in a forest near his home in Judea.

Can anyone imagine what would happen if two Jewish settler teens stalked, ambushed and hacked to death a “Palestinian” Muslim on his prayer carpet?

Underreporting the Temple Mount renovations

February 11th, 2007  ·  13 Comments

The mainstream media is predictably underreporting the Muslim uproar over Israel’s minor renovation work outside the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

What they are failing to point out is that the work being done is to stabilize the earthen ramp leading to the Mugrabi Gate, the sole access point to the Temple Mount for Jews and Christians.

Hezbollah & Hamas - Are They Terrorists?

December 15th, 2006  ·  44 Comments

While most of the mainstream media is extra careful to not label the members of Lebanon’s Hezbollah and the Palestinian group Hamas as terrorists, there are some who refuse to be so “open minded” as to afford the murderers of men, women and children any such courtesy. That minority of journalists, however, is often accused of unfairly slanting the news and driving away the average user with “subjective” language.
