Nimr Hamad, a spokesman for PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas, stated Thursday that the new Hamas-Fatah unity government and its newly-released platform accurately represent all Palestinian Arabs, and if Israel refuses to make peace with that government then it refuses to make peace with the “Palestinians” in general.
He is absolutely right.
The new government and its platform do in fact accurately represent the vast majority of Palestinian Arabs.

Yesterday’s meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and PLO terror boss Mahmoud Abbas and its immediate aftermath makes it painfully obvious why peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority need to be called off.
Every clear-thinking observer has been noting for months how ridiculous it is for Israel to negotiate with Abbas, while a Hamas still unswervingly dedicated to Israel’s destruction is the one that decides whether or not any deals he makes are actually implemented.
Abbas’ promise to Olmert on Sunday to release abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, and Hamas’ reaction to that commitment is just a preview of how the entire “peace” process will play out under these circumstances.

Several stories over the past week tell tales of Muslim children from across the region receiving critical and life-saving medical care at the hands of “evil” Zionist doctors.
While not at all uncommon, stories of Israeli goodwill toward the citizens of enemy nations are typically ignored by the mainstream media. That probably saves the press from having to compare and contrast the bestial behavior of those enemies toward Israeli Jews.

Extreme Israeli leftist peace activists demanded on Saturday that the government demolish the grave of a Jewish resident of Hebron who gunned down 29 “Palestinians” at the cave where Israel’s patriarchs are buried in 1994.
The call came after scuffles broke out between a group of fellow Hebron residents who had gathered in memory of the killer and police officers who were on hand to arrest anyone that displayed support for individuals or groups deemed to be “Jewish terrorists.”

Israel on Wednesday went one step further in making good on its promise to, yet again, sacrifice its own security for the sake of Arab “dignity” by easing airport security checks on the one group of people capable of mass-murdering airline passengers: Arab Muslims.
In response to the nagging of Israeli Arab lawmakers over the “degradation” of Arab passengers at Israel’s airports, the head of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) promised to spend huge amounts of money to install new technology and ensure that all passengers are checked the same.

Israeli police recently apprehended a gang of six Israeli Arabs that brutally raped at least four Jewish girls in northern Israel over the past two years in solidarity with their “Palestinian” brethren.
A suiting display of homage to and support for such a violent society, I suppose.

PeaNUT-job Jimmy Carter claims his truest and most heartfelt desire is for Israel to live in peace, but all he really cares about is getting the Israelis and Arabs to sign another peace of worthless paper so he can cement his own legacy.
Sadly, Carter’s is the same path being tread by President George W. Bush, as it was by Bill Clinton before him, and George Bush Sr. before him.

As I read the latest news reports sitting here at the mall in Jerusalem, it suddenly hits me how close we are to a major regional war.
And I am not talking about a semi-isolated flare-up with Syria and/or Hezbollah. I am talking about all-out war engulfing the entire region.
