US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton last week belatedly recognized that the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) of Mahmoud Abbas may not be a viable peace partner for Israel after all.
Too bad her husband already made that realization completely irrelevant by helping to immutably entrench the PLO den of killers as celebrated, peace-seeking international diplomats.

Israel’s leadership is making the predictable error of being dragged into a process of thinking it can deal with PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) and talk peace with him, while somehow bypassing the democratically-elected representatives of the Palestinian Arabs - the Hamas terrorist organization.

US President George W. Bush said following the September 11, 2001 attacks on his nation that from hence forth there could be no distinction between terrorist killers and the people and nation’s who harbor, finance and support them.
If that is the case, then everyone has got to stop treating the Palestinian Arabs with kid gloves!

Washington has been firm in its support of Israel’s war against Hizb’allah, but has also pressed Israel hard to take great care to not harm or topple Lebanon’s current government.
The Bush administration argues that a lot of effort went into ejecting Syria from Lebanon and getting this democratically-elected government in place.
That may be so, but if the government of Lebanese PM Fuad Siniora is unable or unwilling to govern in an effective manner that safeguards the well-being of both Lebanon’s and Israel’s citizens, then why in the world should Israel care about preserving it?

Much is said about the US pro-Israel lobby, but little is reported on the pro-Islamic terrorism lobby that is equally trying to influence America’s position vis-a-vis the Israeli-Arab conflict and global war on terror.
That probably has a lot to do the Islamic groups not calling themselves a “terrorist lobby,” since they view the terrorists on whose behalf they are lobbying as “freedom fighters.” As we all know, the mainstream media is only too happy to accept and disseminate that canard.
Whether purposeful cover-up or blissful ignorance on the part of the media, the fact remains that there are groups in the United States aligned with “Palestinian” and other terrorist organizations pumping money into the campaigns of Democratic hopefuls in an effort to relieve Israel of its top ally, among other sinister motives.

The international community, no doubt strong armed to a certain degree by the Bush Administration, actually showed a great deal of clarity in its statement Sunday regarding the escalating situation along the Israel-Lebanon border.
Beirut has been screaming for a ceasefire for days, urging the world to impose a cessation of hostilities not on Hizb’allah, but on Israel.
But leaders of the world’s top industrialized nations (G-8) meeting in St. Petersburg told Lebanon it will have calm only AFTER aggression against the Jewish state ceases.

The US will fuel Israel’s offensive against the forces of Islamic terror by supplying feeding the Israeli warplanes currently pounding the Hizb’allah hordes.
The Pentagon also appeared to acknowledge Israel’s position as true enforcer of “peace and security” in the Middle East.
America’s backing for Israel in this fight has been phenomenal. Let’s hope it continues.
The combination of rogue Islamic regimes and terrorist organizations is a recipe for instability and mass bloodshed, and was consequently one of the primary justifications behind America’s invasion of Iraq.
Terrorist organizations are far more likely to, as the Saudis put it, engage in “irresponsible adventurism.” They only lack the resources available to a sovereign state.
Throw in an Iran, add a little Syria, and you have a well-armed, technologically-advanced, foaming-mouthed terrorist organization like Hizb’allah that is light years ahead of its “Palestinian” allies.
Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah and all their buddies could not in their wildest dreams hope to knock out an Israeli warship.
Thank God the US took out Saddam Hussein, or we may be in a lot more trouble than we are today.
Just a little tip for those seeking democracy in the Middle East: It won’t work as long as a rogue terrorist organization, acting with impunity while a toothless government looks on, has the country by the balls.
From the Associated Press:
US President George W. Bush expressed worries the Israeli assault could cause the fall of the government, whose formation after elections last year Washington hailed as a major step for Lebanese democracy after years of Syrian control.
Israel is doing far more for Lebanese democracy than anyone is giving it credit for.
The world recognized with UN Security Council Resolution 1559 that Lebanon would not truly be free until Hizb’allah was defanged, but has failed to back up its words with action. Israel is just taking care of the dirty work, and should be applauded for doing so.
Ironically, the only ones giving Israel its dues are the Lebanese themselves (the Christian ones).
Israel has happily acknowledged America as the leader in the global war on Islamic terror, and so the time has come for the Jewish state to step through the doors being opened by its ally and mimic the examples set by the United States.
Contrary to earlier reports, Bush has reportedly rejected Lebanon’s plea for an imposed ceasefire, leaving Israel free to continue its assault on Hizb’allah.
Ambassador John Bolton is swatting down all attempts to issue a UN Security Council resolution against Israel, effectively pulling the teeth from current international criticism of Israel’s actions.
And Washington has clearly identified both Syria and Iran as the puppet masters behind Hizb’allah’s actions, legitimizing an Israeli strike on Damascus.
The doors are all open. All that is left is for Israel to step through and learn from the US victories in Iraq and Afghanistan: Swift, overwhelming force will end the war before anyone has a real chance to stop it.
The US cannot hold back the world forever. The time to act is now.
