Israel’s government aiding Temple Mount desecration

September 23rd, 2007  ·  12 Comments

Amazingly, after Jews around the world dreamt and prayed for 2,000 years about returning to Zion and even rebuilding their temple to the Almighty, an Israeli government is today actively shielding the Muslim powers that are trying to erase any Jewish connection to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

This past Friday, Israel’s High Court heard the response of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s government to an earlier petition by leading archeologists to have the authorities halt the destructive excavations and renovations being carried out without supervision by the Muslim Trust (Waqf) that oversees the Temple Mount.

To the shock and dismay of the archeologists, the judge ordered them out of the courtroom so that he could be presented with “secret evidence” by Olmert’s government “proving” that the Muslims had caused no damage to any Jewish antiquities.

Why would these archeologists be ordered out of the courtroom unless the government either didn’t really have any evidence or the evidence they did have didn’t really prove anything? What seems most likely to me is that the petitioners were ordered out so that the Olmert government could explain to the judge without any interruptions or objections why Israel needs to just keep its mouth shut and allow its enemies to destroy all remains of a historical Jewish connection to the Temple Mount so as not to disrupt “peace” efforts.

Earlier this month, Israeli television showed footage of the Muslim excavations atop the Temple Mount. In the footage, a deep and long gash can be seen in the floor of the compound, revealing at least one ornate ancient wall that experts say is likely the first piece of the Second Temple to be revealed in centuries. The wall was smashed during the dig.

It is no secret that the Muslims want to deny any Jewish connection to this most holy place. They say as much all the time. What is shocking is that a Jewish Israeli government is going out of its way to shield the Muslims in this despicable act of rewriting history.

A couple weeks ago, the Temple Institute in Jerusalem called on all Bible-believing Christians to rise up and aid their Jewish brothers in defending the Temple Mount against the plans of Allah. I think it is time we answer that call, since the needed help is clearly not going to come from Israel’s own authorities.

This is so frustrating - and it just shows how incompetent we are at choosing our leaders.

I sent an Email to Olmert’s office requesting humbly that he order the desecration of the Temple Mount be stopped; and requesting that archaeologists be allowed in to check the site.

I received an Email back that was very cold and indifferent. It showed how unconcerned the Olmert Administration is with

the People and Nation of Israel—not to mention the historical and holy significance of the Temple Mount….I was appalled!!!!

    OLMERT MUST GO NOW!!!!!

I may not live in Israel…but I am Jewish, by accepting Jesus Christ as my Saviour and LORD…..His blood on Calvary’s Cross has covered me, and made me a Jew. I am “grafted in” and Prime Minister Olmert is a charlatan……He is as BIG an ENEMY of the Nation of Israel as are Hezbollah, Hamas, Fatah, etc…………………….

I realize that these are very strong accusations—nevertheless, I can draw no other conclusions.

I think the main thing is that we pray for Olmert considering there is not much we can do.

Is there a way to impeach Olmert? Sadly most Israelis are secular and do not care at all about any of this.

Marsha, lol I believe you are grafted into Israel, but I wouldn’t be going around claiming your a Jew. Would if God grafted you into one of the other tribes. :)

One day Mr. Olmert and Mr. Abbas will stand before G_d and be held accountable for their actions, along with those who have gone along with their crazy schemes.

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above EVERY name, that at the name of Jesus EVERY knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and EVERY tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, the the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2: 9-11.

Sadly it seems that the secular officials of the Israeli government do not want Temple worship to shadow their itinerary . They would rather defer the yolk of Judaism that the Temple would bring . I suppose that would explain why they never took control of the Temple Mount . I suppose that the Sanhedrin would then rule , and opposing them would not be wise . It would be easier to give away Jerusalem and put off those religious radicals wanting to worship God as He should be . Olmert must go!

Limiting the rebuilding of the Temple is not just a Muslim project. I was at a synagogue were the leading Rabbi said we would inhibit the rebuilding of the Temple, with his body if he must. The reason: the Temple just encouraged cruelty to animals..

I am amazed at what Israel’s enemies do or try to do to her and fail. Yet, just as in America, with “friends” like Olmert, who needs enemies?

One thing is certain, no matter what secular Israeli’s say, no matter what Islamists say, or anyone else… the Temple will be rebuilt. Things have beens set into motion by unsuspecting, ungodly people. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus, will not let slide on by just because someone “thinks” they are doing the right thing. The Temple will be rebuilt and Israel will one day see “the one whom they pierced.”

As many of my Christian brothers and sisters have already said here and throughout other posts, we need to pray for God to continue watching over Israel, change the hearts of the men in power in both Israel and America, and pray that Israel’s enemies will stop their insane digging (read: destruction) of the Temple site.

As one can see, without God, making any secular decisions will ultimately be to your own demise. Pray.

God’s gifts are with out repentance . And therefore so must Christian support of Israel be with out repentance . No one will get in the way of the will of God .

I sent an e-mail to Olmerts office regarding the desecration of the Temple Mount, the Possession of the Temple Mount, East Jerusalem and Judaea and Samaria. I have not received an answer.
If the current government stays in power much longer, there will be a lot of trouble in Zion. It will probably take devine intervention to secure Jerusalem and the Temple Mount and all of Israel. It is just a shame that the Lord will not only need to deal with Esau, but with the Israeli government as well. Pray for the Shalom of Yerushalayim!
