Another look at why there won’t be peace

July 29th, 2007  ·  5 Comments

Palestinian terror groups are threatening to assassinate recently-appointed Fatah Prime Minister Salaam Fayad for making the smallest of concessions in his recent policy platform statement, further proving why a real peace deal will never be concluded between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Friday’s publication of the Fayad government’s positions angered Palestinian militants and their supporters among the general public due to the absence of the term “armed struggle” when referring to the conflict with Israel.

Instead, the statement merely said that the Palestinians should continue to engage in “popular resistance against the Israeli occupation.” I am sure they will find a way to argue that “popular resistance” also includes suicide bombings and other atrocities.

Back on topic - Hamas, Islamic Jihad and some PLO groups responded by declaring that Fayad and his government do not represent them, and that they will continue to implement their own policies, which include the murder and maiming of Jewish men, women and children wherever they can be found.

A spokesman for the umbrella group Popular Resistance Committees summed up the situation thus:

The Palestinians and their resistance movements and thousands of prisoners will always have their own platform. No one will be able to spoil our real platform. The Israeli enemy has failed over the past decades to end the armed struggle, and Fayad won’t succeed in doing so.

What Israeli and American officials are willfully turning a blind eye to is the fact that this man is right. These terror groups will continue to attack Israelis despite any hint of moderation shown by Fayad, and no one will do anything to stop them.

The real test of moderation is not whether the Palestinian leadership is willing to put down its own guns, but whether it is willing to actually protect Israeli lives by preventing any and all of its citizens from carrying out acts of terror. PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas has failed that test miserably, and at this point, there is no reason to believe Fayad will do any better, nor that he desires to.

Yasser Arafat was the master of this game, feigning moderation and engaging in negotiations that resulted in major Israeli concessions, all while Hamas and “rogue” elements of his own Fatah continued to kill Jews.

That Jerusalem and Washington have jumped in bed with Fayad before he has proven himself to be at all committed to real peace - the kind where Jews no longer die for residing in their ancient biblical homeland - reveals the true depth of the self-serving, short-sighted hypocrisy that governs the steps of our leaders.

Good asessment however God has laid it out quite simply in Ezekiel 13:10 & 16,

10: Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:

16: To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.

Not until Jesus stands on the mount of Olives and defeats Satan and his followers (Islam) will there be peace in Israel.

    Ryan,

I believe all this reveals that, regardless of who’s involved, whether Arab terrorists, the Israeli or the American government, Jews are despised and Jewish blood is cheap.

All who love the Nation of Israel and the Jewish People are burdened down with world affairs concerning Israel. Because of satellite tv, we are now knowing to what is really going on globally concerning Israel.

The “for Israel” and the “against Israel” are coming into view as never before. The media does not always tell the whole story; nevertheless, those with discerning spirits are able to see the BIG PICTURE. I believe God is allowing us to see and have revealed things we need to know so that we may be better able to pray for Israel, and against her enemies.

We look at modern day lifestyles and think little of a man having a wife and a girlfriend, and producing children by both……And yet—that is exactly what happened with Abraham, Sarah and Hagar, and the end result is that today we are all affected by the sins of these three people from so long ago….

Who is to say where the lifestyles of today will lead us? If sin could only stay in the closet without affecting anyone else it would still be bad enough. However, what we do good or evil, we always reap a harvest from—–It remains a mystery as to whether people in 2007 and beyond will catch a glimpse of what the past has done to the future of all mankind.

The Word of God says: “What we do in secret, He will shout it from the rooftops.” Sin cannot be hidden—-it will always eventually raise its ugly head and have to be dealt with.

Israel and the middle east descendants will forever be at war with one another because a long, long time ago an old woman named Sarah could not believe God when He told her she would have a child. So she rushed up the process and made it happen….ANYTIME WE STEP OUT AHEAD OF GOD AND HIS TIMETABLE, WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE. We cannot even begin to fathom what our impatience, and our lack of Faith may cost us in time to come.

Ryan, we can always count on you to tell us the truth. You have a special gift for explaining in a way that we can understand and see the Big Picture as it is and is unfolding. Thank you.

I believe that I read that when the two witnesses are laying dead in the streets of Jerusalem that “every eye shall see”. Today’s satellite technology will make that possible . My ! How things are coming together lately . Also I believe the two witnesses to be ; Elijah and Enoch neither of which has died as of today . Oh , Moses is dead and that’s it for him .
