Israel’s Labor Party is accusing US President George W. Bush of proposing a Middle East peace summit this fall in order to delay Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s inevitable political demise.
Party sources noted that Bush’s announcement of an international summit in his Middle East policy speech this week will blunt growing calls for Olmert’s removal. No one is willing to be responsible for political instability in Israel just before a major peace conference.
This represents a major coup for Bush and his “two-state vision.”
Despite mounting Israeli opposition to any further surrender of land, Olmert is the one viable national leader still dedicated to conducting significant withdrawals, which, of course, are essential to Bush’s desire to play midwife to “Palestine.”
If elections are held in the coming months and Netanyahu becomes prime minister, the White House can forget about the uprooting of any more Jewish settlements any time soon, and certainly not before the end of Bush’s tenure as president.
Even if Netanyahu loses the election to Ehud Barak, the Labor Party leader would definitely remember that he was crushed in the 2001 prime ministerial election precisely because he had offered so much to Yasser Arafat, an offer that most Israelis see as having encouraged the Palestinians to launch their “intifada.”
And so, Bush needs Olmert to get the Jews out of Judea and Samaria if he is to have any chance of fulfilling his self-appointed task of bringing peace to the Holy Land.

If Pres. Bush cannot provide peace and tranquility with in the borders of the US how does he propose to bring peace to Israel? His actions are directed at trying to please the House of Saud!
May the L RD G D BLESS ISRAEL!

What is Pres. Bush thinking?? He has defied the Holy One of Israel by proudly proclaiming he will be able to bring peace to the Middle East.
There will be no peace until the Prince of Peace arrives: Messiah Jesus!! Also Bush doesn’t seem to know the words of prophet Joel in regards to the judgment on the Gentile nations who have oppressed Israel (the USA included here!!)
Quote:”I will also gather all nations, and I will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and I will deal with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel whom they have scattered among the nations
and PARTED (divided) MY LAND!!”(Joel 3:2) unquote.
Bush is trying his best to part God’s land into 2 states. But God gave ALL of it to the Jews as an everlasting possession!! The Jew hating and Jew killing Palestinian Arabs are the occupiers and the Jews are the rightful owners of the land under God!.
Bush will incur the wrath of God on him and us as a nation for doing what he intends to do before he leaves office. Just remember what happened to Ariel Sharon for making Gaza: Juden rein!! He suffered a stroke and God sent the Katrina storm to wipe out sin-city New Orleans!! 8000 Jews or so were forced off their land, and many still don’t have a place to call their home, Because of Katrina, multiplied thousands of Americans were forced off their land…..God keeps score and we do well to love Israel, stand behind her and pray daily for the peace of Jerusalem and the salvation and protection of the Jews. Amen.
Shalom!

Bush seems to be just as fanatical as was Clinton in trying to be the man who is going to bring peace to the ME. The nonsensical organization called the EU also wants to be in on the peace bandwagon, but of course at the Jews expense. Both the EU and the US State Department/Bush are putting all of their assets/credibility in trying to prop up Abbas, as if he is the only man in the Moslem world they can rely on. Abbas will fool them, if Hamas doesn’t liquidate him first. Sadly, these pols do not learn from past mistakes or history. Bush is no exception.

I am all for hiring an assassin - if not for Bush, then for Olmert.
Revolution, anyone?

Now now…let’s have a peaceful revolution.
I agree that wasting all our political power to prop up Abbas (aka Abu Mazen, finanicer of the Munich massacre) is a big mistake. Clearly Abbas like Arafat cannot live up to local, let alone international obligations. They can’t even feed their own people, how are they going to create a secure West Bank and let their people develop.

Bush and Blair simply cannot be this stupid? They are either deceived [which I doubt] or willingly bringing about the destruction of Israel? They must have oil for their planned wars - and this entails pleasing those who have it - or invading the countries of those who have it, but are reticent about receiving US dollars as payment for it.
The ultimate in ‘pleasing’ action is to hand Israel over to her oil producing enemies as soon as possible - and this is exactly what is in the final stages now.
The only problem they have is that the God of Israel [who Bush mischeviously refers to as ‘Allah’] has very different plans for His land and all those that ignore them will end up fighting Him. And losing.
If they continue to push Israel into a ‘two state’ solution the suffering they will bring on their people will be beyond current human imagining.

I do not think Bush knows that much about the prophesy issues dealing with Israel . After all he had a Muslim pray at his inauguration
after Karl Rove politically pegged him as a Christian . Boy what a slap in the face for voters . I have read on the computer that he has an IQ of 83 . Maybe that would explain a lot of things .

I think Bush believes in replacement theology. If thats the case then I would ask him, if God didn’t mean what He said when He said of Israel, “I have loved you with an everlasting love”, then maybe He didn’t mean what He said in John 3:16. Gods promises to Israel are yea and amen, and woe to any who oppose them!!!

When people become politicians, they often loose their reasoning power as we see in our leadership in Israel and America. They seem to think they are on a mission to please all the people all of the time.
What a joke!!! I

see these two leaders as standing on a stage and it is the final act, and the play has not gone well…..they are giving it their best shot at trying to win the favor of everyone who is in the audience, in an effort not to look so bad….well, they sure do end up looking bad anyway when the final curtain comes down….so….what have they accomplished when all is said and done=====they have made an even bigger mess than it was when they first began.
They are double-minded, and that never produces stability and good results.

I think that Bush is pushing Olmert because Bush will not be in office forever and if a war with Syria breaks out and Bush is gone you can expect no aide from us, especially with a democrat in office. He is trying to make it happen to save the situation.

Bush has been pushing Israel into a Saudi peace plan . Could Oil be those 30 pieces of silver that Judas took . Bush has been withholding
arms to Israel to make them comply with the Saudi plan . Bush’s plan is to serve the money interest and couldn’t care less about religious considerations of any kind . He has betrayed the Christians who blindly voted for him from the start . The antichrist will receive many just like the Bush machine did .

Interesting insight on Hanks part. We are asking GOD to just take our Presidents lack of understanding and put the abuse on his head. Many of us in the USofA fully support Israel. Noone is this house supports what the President is attempting to do with the land of Israel. I have warned the whole Bush family to try to discourage George W from this firm jawed demand on Israel to make room for these Palestinians. So far, the whole family has apparently ignored our warning. Listen to Pastor John Hagee on Israel. He has some interesting insight. You can also get his magazine on the “Torch” if you want.

There is much I respect about Pres. Bush, but he is wrong about Israel and appeasing the Palestinians with Israel’s land. I am sure he does not understand, or know the scriptures regarding God’s Abrahamic covenant that is going to be fulfulled completely. Israel is back in the land awaiting the return of the Messiah, who is Yeshua/Jesus even though some do not yet realize this. Likely Bush with His church connections may believe the so called Replacement Theology, though this doesn’t explain Jimmy Carter’s views.
Just call it blindness, ignorance; however God has it all in control, and eventually, all the original land He promised the Jewish nation will be theirs. I pray for His protection over Israel, and try to be faithful myself over that which I can affect.
