Lebanon’s military forces have for the past week been pounding Islamic terrorists operating out of a Palestinian “refugee camp” in the north of the country. Not wanting to risk large military casualties, the Lebanese army has primarily been using tank fire and artillery to target their enemies.
According to numbers presented by the media, at least 50 terrorists have been killed, along with untold numbers of civilians.
All of the above is fine and well. I certainly feel regret that civilians unable to defend themselves are being caught up in this, but the Lebanese absolutely have the right to make war upon their terrorist foes, even if that enemy is using a civilian population as a shield. And the Lebanese have the right to do so in a way that will most minimize casualties to their own forces.
What is not fine and well is that the international community is so supportive of the Lebanese anti-terror offensive, while being so vocally opposed to every Israeli effort to extinguish the scourge of Palestinian terror.
In an editorial posted to its website on Saturday, the Jerusalem Post drew a parallel between the ongoing Lebanese operation and Israel’s Operation Defensive Shield, a massive April 2002 assault on terrorist positions throughout Samaria.
The scope of both operations is similar, from a military viewpoint. The international reaction, however, could not be more different.
During the Israeli operation, the bloodiest fighting of which took place in Jenin, the Arab world was generally supported by the international media and UN in its claims that Israeli forces were committing a massacre of Palestinian civilians.
Even after the dust settled and it was clear no massacre had occurred, UN bodies and human rights groups still conducted investigations ending in the predictable accusation that Israel had committed war crimes.
All of this despite the fact that Israel avoided the use of air power and artillery in order to minimize not its own casualties, but those of the Palestinians.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese are pounding the Palestinian suburb of Nahr el-Bared with hundreds of artillery shells every day, killing who knows how many people and wreaking untold destruction.
And where are the Arab League, the human rights groups and the international media? Mum. Everyone of them is mum. No calls for an investigation, no wild claims of a massacre, no pleas for the protection of innocent Palestinians.
This, my friends, is ample evidence that the Arab world and the international community do not really care about the so-called “Palestinians.” What they care about is eradicating the Jewish state, and the Palestinian Arabs just happen to be the best tool to accomplish that at present.

I’m emailing this to the Glenn Beck show, which is probably the only mass media outlet program which won’t suppress the truth. I hope. I don’t know about the rest of you, but every time I hear another story of injustice by the world to Israel, and there are MANY, it makes me that more determined to help them in every which way I know how. Israel is my cause. Unfortunately, very few others are willing to say the same.

Amen Ryan and Victor, the double standards of the international community couldn’t be any clearer. The prejudice against Israel, is undeniably an injustice of monumental proportions. The transparent actions of the international community is so obvious, and they don’t seem to even try hide their bias against Israel. No matter what Israel does, they are subject to ridcule and comdemnation. Israel will never do anything right in their eyes, they will always find fault with them. And I agree Victor, that it is so very important, that we Christians show our love and support for Israel, and help them anyway we possibly can. And I pray, that others will come to realize the importance of this also.

Ha-mas and Hezbollah both know that the world is against Israel and subject their own women and children to being killed to bring condemnation to Israel . Those that hate the Jews eat up such propaganda . Those that are not abiding with Christ will hate Israel anyway so there is no reason to be concerned with their opinion . KICK BUTT AND TAKE NO NAMES now!

KBTNNn! I Love That! The bi-ass’s (pun intended) against Israel are so nonsensical and insane, there is no logic. Is all the world becoming possessed?
5 Joyce // May 31, 2007 at 6:53 pm
Nerah,
I agree, all the world does seem to becoming possessed. The insanity of this world is becoming so rampant. America itself has changed so drastically, that it’s hard to remember it as ever being a God fearing country. And as hard as it is to admit, I believe those days are gone forever. It’s so sad to think about how this country has gone so far downhill. And if it breaks my heart, I can’t even imagine how God’s heart must be feeling. He must be so disgusted with all this flaunting of sin and depravity. And it will be just a matter of time before God’s had enough. He’s already given us warnings, and they seem to have fallen on deaf ears. Because nothing in this country has changed, it just keeps going on it’s merry way into oblivion. And whatever happens I pray, that God will show mercy for His faithful followers.

I must say that I agree with you Victor 100%, Israel is my cause as well.
The Arabs don’t care about the Palis and the shelling minus the outcry is a perfect example of that. It is an accepted practice to treat the Palis as bastard Arabs then in 1967 and now in 2007. The Arab leaders know that forever as long as the Palis exist they will be the bastard stateless third cousins that they never really wanted around anyways.
I don’t think it’s funny, just in a sick way how the entire world sits with their eyes closed as the “religon of peace” Islam spreads its hateful ways across our planet like Nazism did Europe and the Middle East in the late 30’s and early 40’s. Why can we not realize that civilized society (represented by states like USA, Israel, GB, France, Japan, etc…) is under attack from a force that knows no bounds. This group of people led by a religon is bent on destroying the United States, Israel, and the world for that matter. Must we wait until Tel Aviv or Washington has a mushroom cloud over them to do something?
The world is at war and it’s ironic that we are fighting the last great war in the same place where humanity was born. Wow. But I think America and her allies have to many enemies these days, maybe to many to fight in the end to win. War is hell, but in order to have peace you must have war.
Joyce — I must say I think God doesnt care about any of this. I am of the belief that we as humans are simply to low on the pole of universal importance to have any attention delivered to us. God gave man free will or the ability to make choices…God will not end this world…man will…because in the end God gave man choices and we decided to create weapons, religon, states, everything we did as man was a choice. We control our destiny, it’s sad that we will use Gods gift to destroy ourselves.
**That picture is very fake. I am graphic designer and was laughing so hard. The people are not even looking at the missile! And the missile itself would never be used to hit civies - Ryan is correct that thing is expensive and used to hit armor and buildings. Arabs are so dumb.

Nathan,
I have to disagree, I believe that God cares very much about what we do. Why else would He give us His Bible, and commandments to live by? I agree, that God gave us free will to make choices, but that doesn’t mean, that He doesn’t care about the choices we make. God wanted us to have free will to make our own choice about salvation. And we who have accepted His gift of salvation, I believe, that God expects us to live by His commandments. And that we are to witness to those who are lost, and help lead them to the Lord. Because even though God wants it to be our own choice to accept salvation, or not, does not mean, that He doesn’t care when someone rejects His gift of salvation. And that He doesn’t care about the sinful ways of this world. And I also believe, that God will punish those who are sinful, and unrepentant of their sins. I believe, that Sodom and Gomorrah were a good example of that. And so that is why I also believe, that if America doesn’t change it’s sinful, and unrepentant ways, that we have, and will be punished even more severely for it’s transgressions.

I feel, that it is important for me to say more about God and His feelings towards us and how we live our lives. I believe, that God has shown us how important we are to Him by sending His only begotten Son to die for our sins. And by saying that we’re not important to God, is making the sacrifice that Jesus made for, us as if it was of no importance. And that simply is not true. I believe there is no greater love, than the love God has shown by sending His only begotten Son to sacrifice His life for us wretched sinners. And I believe those that reject His gift of salvation makes His heart very sad and troubled. And I believe, that it is very important to God on how we live our lives, and that He is very troubled with those sinners who are unrepentant of their sins. And that they will be punished for their unrepented sins. And so, that is why I’m so concerned about America, and it’s unrepentant sinful ways.

Joyce - I agree with you wholeheartedly !!! God cares about EVERYTHING that goes on in our lives. To expound on that, the Bible says “even the hairs on our head are numbered”. Whatever is important to us is important to God…We are HIS children !!! And in regard to all this Mid-East fghting, when it comes to the Palestinians, there will be war until Yeshua returns to fight the final battle. War, unfortunately, is what they live (and die) for. Lies are pumped into them straight out of the womb….they believe only the propaganda their leaders feed them. Their only hope is prayer. And it’s our responsibility to offer up prayers for their eyes to be opened to the love of Yeshua. Sometimes it seems such a daunting task because it looks so hopeless…but, “Greater is HE that is in us than he that is in the world” and ” where evil/sin abounds grace so much more abounds”. We have to constantly rely on His Word in order to not faint in all that lies ahead. These are very trying & difficult times & according to scripture, they’re going to get much more so. Looking at the governments in both U.S. and Israel at this point in time can only bring nausea to one’s psyche. It’s as though everyone has lost their minds…”the inmates are running the asylum” is the first thing that comes to my mind. It appears that these “democratic” governments are being run by dictators, instead of “by the people, for the people”. Gone are the days of achieving the “American Dream”, and living happily ever after. We are in a war with the “enemies of the cross” and we are called as warriors to fight, whether on our knees or proclaiming His Word with every breath of our being. We are in the midst of the separating the “wheat from the tares”. There’s no time like the present to find out what we’re made of; if we’ve built our lives on “shifting sands or on the “Rock Christ Jesus”. I pray every day for the Lord to “prepare me for what you have prepared for me”. May we who are His children…act like it. God Bless!

The democratic government that governs America may not be as democratic as one may think , as I found out . The president at his discretion could declare Marshal Law during most any event that he believes could affect the rule of this Government . FEMA will assume direct control of every part of our lives at the Presidents request. A series of Executive Orders gives FEMA at their discretion the right to imprison you in their many many hundreds of internment camps around the USA . Certain groups are targeted as problematic . Among those groups are militants , illegal aliens , protesters and yes religious organizations . FEMA is authorized to use deadly force to control these dissidents . They may force you to work in labor camps without pay , split families and relocate people to where ever they feel necessary . These provisions may be necessary in some cases . The Congress will have no power to intervene .
Check the sites Operation Garden Plot or REX84 or American Concentration Camps
11 Nathan // Jun 5, 2007 at 4:32 am
Charles — I must say while that is an executive order that won’t happen. No American General and his men will ever take those types of orders from a suit. No elected official will ever become that powerful. I truly believe that not only would FEMA have about 200 millions gun toting Americans running around but also the USA military would never allow such an injustice, remember they are the protectors of the order if you will, and that means no Emperor style BS. Also REX84 was in the event of a complete national strike or emergency related to civil unrest not terrorism. And also for organizing after a nuclear attack and complete destruction of the USA.

Amen Karin, you are right, God cares very much about us and what we do. I have seen Him work many miracles in my life and others, for Him not care about us and how we live our lives. And I pray, that we as Christians will be prepared for these difficult times, and for the even more difficult days that lie ahead. We need to rely on the Lord to help strengthen us, to defend our beliefs against those who want to destroy them. Because as you said, prayer is their only hope and we need to pray diligently for them, and for the future of America and Israel.
God bless you.

It remains clear that ANYTHING Israel does seems to be wrong to this world system that we live in….We have to live in this system….we have NO CHOICE—but thankfully, we do not have to agree with it nor be partakers in its evils.
We must do what we can—all we can to open the eyes, minds and hearts of all who will listen. And, we must do it with wisdom that only God can give us, so that our comments and our actions will prove positive to all who will see, hear and recognize that Israel is/always has been/ And, ALWAYS WILL BE GOD’S SPECIAL ONES.
I am outraged, and yet I feel pity for all who foolishly and blindly seek to destroy God’s Land and His People. They don’t know what lies ahead of them——-JUDGMENT AND HELL!

There is no doubt that God cares about everyone of His creations! The question is how much do we care about Him? If we cared about God even 1/4 as much as he cared about us we would be living with constant miracles and this world would be absolutely Glorious!
15 Joyce // Jun 7, 2007 at 6:20 pm
Amen Nerah, you hit the nail right on the head. We should be as concerned with showing our love for Him as we are with receiving his love. Because for us to be as unselfish with our love for Him as He is with us that in itself would be a miracle.

Nathan ,
I am quite sure that the German Jews thought the same thing about the upstart Hitler . I see the same thing happening where some young wanta be Generals will be like the Himmler’s and the SS . FEMA would have taken the loyalty of their leadership into account . There will always be the sadistic henchmen to do the will of the oppressors . The unwilling Generals will be relieved and possibly put into those one of those 800 camps . I know that you relish the thought of our armed forces being put under the authority of the United Nations . Being put into a forced labor camp is also a possibility . These provisions may be necessary in some drastic instances , but to be implemented with out Congressional
review is too much . It gives a President way too much power for too long . He or the head of FEMA might be tempted to suspend elections permanently if they really consolidated their power . I think some one wants to be president of North America . Check out Northcom.
