Gaza strife exposes Palestinian hypocrisy

May 17th, 2007  ·  7 Comments

The Palestinians so often openly display their hypocrisy for the world to see, and the world almost nearly as often ignores it.

The latest example of this hypocrisy comes amid the escalating internal strife in Gaza that this week spilled over into southern Israel in a big way.

As of Thursday evening, Gaza-based Palestinian terrorists have fired more than 80 rockets at the southern Israel town of Sderot and surrounding communities over the past several days. Many have been wounded, and numerous buildings, including schools, have been damaged.

A simply unacceptable display of aggression that no nation on earth would countenance as Israel has.

And then Israel responds, albeit in an extremely limited fashion. Instead of employing the overwhelming force Washington preaches when it retaliates against its enemies, Israel responded to this week’s massive rocket fire by bombing two Hamas bases in Gaza, one of which was empty.

Never mind that Hamas had been pounding southern Israel for days, deliberately targeting Jewish civilians. The moment Israel dared to drop a couple bombs on Gaza, that, according to the Palestinians, is when the situation escalated, that is when someone crossed the line.

Pure hypocrisy. But it doesn’t end there.

Let’s take a moment and consider the response of PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas and other Palestinian “moderates” to the Hamas rocket fire on Israel. Oh, wait, they never did respond! No declaration of condemnation whatsoever from Israel’s “peace partners.”

Nor has Abbas and his “moderate” buddies clawed into Hamas and those responsible for the street violence in Gaza as they consistently do the Jewish state when people die in Israeli anti-terror military action.

I mean, isn’t the message from these “moderates” that they just want to live in peace and security, to live normal, prosperous lives? Then why don’t they launch into the kind of diplomatic frenzy against Hamas that they regularly employ against Israel?

Sure, there have been a few muffled criticisms, but nothing like the diplomatic blitz the Palestinian Authority so masterfully wields when Israel kills Palestinians.

The whole thing just smacks of hypocrisy. And the international media and Western powers simply ignore that aspect of it all.

Just so we are clear on the rules of this game:

  1. The Palestinians are allowed to bombard Israel in unprecedented fashion, but Israel is now permitted to respond, even in a limited manner.

  2. Israel’s killing and wounding of a small number of Palestinians during anti-terror operations is cause for an international diplomatic uproar, while the slaughter of Palestinians by other Palestinians in far greater numbers is merely internal political strife that outsiders should not interfere in.

It’s alright God Is on Israels side , He is bigger the than the rest of the world . He also has more influence .
The Muslims are controlling the world more and more through terror . The stupid idiots are taking our lunch money and we are letting them . We could squash them like a roach and then take their oil . But I digress .

The Pals are a myth only a bi-product of the 1948 Arab Alliance that attacked Israel on her founding day, and the Pals are the biggest joke in the world. I take Kim Jong psycho more seriously than them.

Not only are the Palestinians hypocrites. I also believe that the U.S. is being very hypocritical, when we expect Israel to do nothing militarily in response to rocket attacks, and yet when we were attacked we responded with military action. Israel has just as much right to defend themselves as we do. And as far as I’m concerned it’s just ridiculous to think otherwise. Israel should not be expected to put up with such unprovoked aggression. And I hope and pray, that Israel’s government, and ours will realize that not responding to the rocket attacks is absurd, and that they will not be expected to tolerate them any longer!

    Billy Boy,

God is on Israel’s side, and especially for this reason it is NOT alright. God’s people need to stand up and demand, by every and all means, that His people not be messed with any longer. We would NEVER say something like this if it were our own friends and family who were being targeted. We would take up arms and blow all the ‘beloved, poor, oppressed Palestinians’ to hell’s kingdom come with its 72 billion virgins (what are these people thinking!!!).

    Victor,
Yea it will be alright . There is exactly nothing that you or 10,000,000 others can do to alter Gods plan . If so, then most likely we could not muster enough support to overcome those that are against Israel . God stacked this deck , wrote this program , filled in the blanks long before we were here . Yes I am really perplexed by the fact that Bush is playing the Saudi hand against Israel . When I saw the{ Passion of the Christ } I could not sit still to see the terrible treatment that Christ suffered on my account and yours , but it was foretold and had to happen . And so shall the return of the Lord as the Roaring Lion to pull Israel from the Jaws of the Beast . I am not abandoning Israel , but we are powerless in the face of the Lord .

“All it takes for evil to prevail, is for godly men and women to do nothing….”

What are we, who belong to the Lord, doing? I believe it is long past time for each of us to do some serious “soul-searching” as to how we really feel about what the world system is trying to do to the Nation and Land of Israel.

It is easy to sit on a river bank and dangle our toes in the water’s edge when we feel “so inclined.” But it is another thing entirely to “get in the fight” with real resolve to pray like we have never prayed before in our lives—and to fast when we possibly can for swift elections in Israel and a change of leadership—and for Gaza to be retaken and never again given away to anyone! Also, to bury “in the sea of forgetfulness” any thoughts of ever dividing any of Israel’s Lands and handing them over to those who seek to wipe Israel off the map!

Talk is Cheap…….pray with fasting really do move the heart of God, and prayer and fasting activate power from Heaven. So…..we have nothing to lose—-and Everything to gain!

I seem to remember where Jesus explained to the Apostles that He would be rejected and be put to death . Simon Peter tried to keep that from happening . And you know the rest of the story .
Without a doubt God will remove any impediments to His plan .
Maybe He is doing that now? Even Christian Zionist will see that America will decrease and the Lord will Increase . It is the (without a clue Muslims ) that should be surprised when they think Israel is right for the kill and the Lord Jesus comes back without their 12th Imam and sends fire on them . Pray for America we are going to need it . Carelessly in the Isles yes that’s us !
