Some ‘Palestinians’ long for Israeli ‘occupation’

May 8th, 2007  ·  14 Comments

Don’t believe the hype eagerly disseminated by the mainstream media that the Palestinian Arabs are totally united in their desire to end the so-called “Israeli occupation.”

There are a good number of “Palestinians” who long to again live under Israeli rule, recognizing that it is only under Israel that they can live in freedom from oppression by their own leaders.

Sadly, the vast majority of these clear-thinking Arabs do not dare to open their mouths for fear of a brutal response by the more savage of their brethren.

I have had the pleasure of meeting one of these men, a pastor Naim Khoury of the First Baptist Church of Bethlehem. For his open belief that all of this land is Israel’s biblical birthright, Khoury has been ambushed and shot and his church has been bombed 14 times.

Similarly, a number of “Palestinian” residents of eastern Jerusalem have expressed to me and others that they absolutely do not want to live under the Palestinian Authority.

Well, it now seems that many of the “Palestinians” of Gaza, who less than two years after winning their freedom from the “Israeli occupation” are desperate for the Jews’ return, are joining the ranks of those who have seen the light.

According to a “Palestinian” journalist who spoke to Ha’aretz, “Many people in the Strip hope that Israel will reoccupy it because” the violence and anarchy that has now gripped the area was “not prevalent during the Israeli occupation [sic].”

Call it what you like, but it is an indisputable fact that Arabs living under Israeli rule have more freedom and enjoy greater financial prosperity than regular Arabs in just about any other part of the Middle East.

It is very refreshing to hear, that there are Palestinians who are Christians, and have the good judgement to know when they are better off. As does this pastor Naim Khoury who openly professes his faith, and the belief, that all the land is Israel’s biblical birthright. And also, that there are a number of other Palestinians who are unhappy with the Palestinian Authority and their oppression. Of course it’s not surprising that they feel this way. What’s surprising is that all the others don’t feel the same way. I just can’t understand how they can’t all see for themselves, the freedom they could have, and enjoy, living under Israeli rule, rather than the despair, and oppression, they are subject to under the Palestinian Authority. But it is good to know, that there are those who do realize this, and have the courage to stand against the oppressive Palestinian Authority. And I hope, and pray, that there will be more Palestinians who will not be afraid to come to this realization.

It has become apparent to me that Iran ,Syria , and other nations that support Radical Islamic views keep trouble stirred up all the time between the Palestinians to serve their own hateful purposes.
Most likely the majority of Palestinians are held hostage and terrorized in their own neighborhoods by Radical Muslims with outside influence and money . Their enemies are not the Jews .
    What a shame !

I honestly feel for these Arab Christians and for those Muslims who desire a better life. There is one thing the West can do and that is withdraw aid to the Gazans. And not one more penny goes to them until there is a fundamental change of heart. All this endless aid that we are sending to the money pit that is the Palestinians is simply reinforcing failure. Why should we continually reward the Pals for their bad behaviour? The money is being spent on more guns and military hardware or more likely is being embezzled outright just like what ol’ Yassir Arafat did. Why do we blindly insist that peace-loving Jews make nice with a people that worship war? Foolishness this is. Three words: No More Jizya. Then finally a real solution might be at hand.

Lets stop the M-16s that Bush is giving to the Pals. and the AK47s as well . Those same weapons will kill Israelis .
Bush and the Saudi plan he is pushing has made America the laughing stock of the whole world . He is no friend of Israel by his actions. He is an OIL man and the Saudis are Big Oil .

Dear brothers, Well I am a Palestinian Christian who lives less than five minutes away from the First b.Church in Bethlehem, I used to be part of this church, With all respect to pastor Naim, I can say that this is just a lie, and its a way to get money from the christians in the west, Saying lies such like his church was bombed 14 times is just a way to get money. And in response to Joyce, will you be happy to be ruled from Iraqis coming to your home taking your landkilling you and your family in the name of “The choosen people” ?? I dont think so. Allow me to say that you do not know anything about the situation in there. I am a proud Palestinian Christian who lvoes the lord, and servese the lord by telling the truth and not expecting to get anything out of it. Mr. Cach , Can i remind you Sir that the USA only the government gives Israel 15 million dollars a day, lots of this money goes to develop wepeans including newclear w. May i remind you of the thousends of kids that doesnt have milk and bread to eat in gaza becuase thier father is not getting his sallery, … When will we open our eyes and see people as jesus sees them, not as our political leaders does.

We need to pray for this Pastor and all believers in Israel.

    E.I.H.
Question for you… If you are a believer in Yeshua/Jesus then how can you not see that the Bible clearly says Israel belongs to the Israeli people. It is throughout the Bible. Israel is protecting themselves and the land that was originally thiers! I am sorry for the hungry or poor children everywhere no matter the religion. However no money should be given to the Palestinians by any government because it has been clear it does not truly go to the people who need it! There are many orginazations that give directly to the needy, not the government. that is the better way to help at this point. You say that Joyce does not anything about the situation there…What about those who have lived there but still claim the same thing as Joyce. What about the Israeli children who are in need also. Yes we should see people how God sees them, God loves all wants them to come to know Him in Yeshua, I don’t believe anyone is saying they don’t care about the people, I know I am not. However denial of Jewish persecution is not Biblical. I follow what God says not politicians or man!

    E.I.H.,
Being a Christian is not always easy, and I do realize that there are those Christians who are persecuted, and do have their lives at stake for their beliefs. And I feel very badly for them, and I pray for them and their safety. And I am so very thankful that I live in a country where we don’t have that kind of persecution. But if that ever changes, which I believe that someday it may, then I have to be ready to give my life for my beliefs. But on my earlier comment I was just responding to the topic at hand, and I did not mean for it to seem that I was insensitive to the plight of the persecution of Christians over there. Because I do care about them, and I do pray for them.

All I’ve got to say to you ‘Man Creatid God’ is this, you should sincerely seek the Lord’s help for your delusional mind, and for a change of heart. And I pray, that you will.

This man Naim Khoury is a worshipper of the mighty dollar. He is evil man. He is a Baptist pastor, but now is ready to go wherever he can get money. He has no ethics at all. His god is the mighty dollar. He lies beyond imagination. I have known him for more than 25 years, and simly I say he is an evil man. He keeps repeating the same lie that people bombed his church, and frankly it is a big joke as well as a lie. He is ready to do anything to get money. He is a traiter of his oun people the palestinians for the sake of money. And yes, I hope that noone will say that I am persecuting him or hate him because of what I write here. It is a simple fact that the majority of people who know this wan can affirm. It is enough to tell you that he claims to be a Bishop with a PHD degree, although no one ordained him as a bishop, and he has only a BA degree. This man is fake, and I pray that he would tepent and stop this way of evil living

  • 14 Ken // Jan 8, 2008 at 5:52 am

Khaleel: Why do you say that Naim Khoury is a fake? What makes you more trustworthy than all the other Christians who claims to know him and trust in him. He tells that he has been ambushed and shot at. That should be easy to verify. I guess that the attacks on the Church is easy to prove, too. And if it was for the sake of money he is preaching, why should he still live and stay in Bethlehem. He could easily moved to a safer and more prosper place. I am convinced that Naim Khoury is a good man, that is my impression after his latest visit here in Norway.
