Israel’s enemies are changing tactics again

March 4th, 2007  ·  13 Comments

For decades, Israel’s enemies made no pretense of desiring peace with the Jewish state, and instead attempted at every opportunity to destroy the nation militarily.

When it became clear that that was not going to happen, at least not under present circumstances, the Arab nations turned to diplomacy, albeit in a relatively hostile manner, to achieve their aims.

While those hostile diplomatic efforts continue, it appears some of Israel’s Arab enemies are beginning to realize that they have a better chance of success if they offer more carrot and less stick.

And so we find ourselves in a situation today where many officials in Jerusalem are getting all excited about the prospect of the Arab League, meeting later this month in Riyadh, removing the one really disagreeable clause from an otherwise acceptable Saudi peace proposal first presented in 2002.

That proposal offers Israel peace and normal relations with the entire Arab world in return for a full surrender of the Golan Heights, Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem.

Now, while Israeli politicians are wary of offering to give up all that land, most are sadly willing to part with a great deal of their biblical patrimony for the promise of “peace.”

The only part of the Saudi proposal that even the current defeatist government was unable to swallow was the demand that Israel allow millions of so-called “Palestinian refugees” to take up residence inside the borders of sovereign Israel - which would of course spell the end of the Jewish state.

With the Saudis and others increasingly trying to sweet-talk Israel into signing a proverbial “deal with the devil,” it is not unfathomable that the Arab League will agree to at least downgrade the whole “Palestinian right of return” demand.

And if that happens, many will ask, “So, why not agree to the deal if Israel is for the most part getting everything it ever asked for?”

From a human perspective, there is one very good reason to still reject the proposal even if the “Palestinian refugees” are completely written out of it, and that reason is the volatility of the Middle East.

Israel could surrender its most strategically important regions (the Golan, Jordan Valley and central hill region) in return for peace with the current Arab regimes, but in this neighborhood, you never know who will be in power tomorrow.

There is no guarantee that 5, 10 or 20 years down the road, violently anti-Israel dictators just crazy enough to go to war will not be in power in Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

From a biblically-minded perspective, the aim of the true Enemy is, of course, to reverse the God-ordained restoration of Israel and thereby attempt to prevent the final fulfillment of the divine plan of global redemption.

If you are speaking that the true enemy of the nation of Israel is the Devil then I would say that it is very highly likely that Satan does not understand the true Israel any better than some Christians do.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

I think we are just about there.
Those who walk in the llight of Gods truth se all this talk of peace as lies to decieve the Jews.
There will never be peace betweenthe lie of Islam and Israel .
One will be removed forever and we know it’s not Israel.
Only then will Arab’s live in true peace with the Jews.
May God hasten that day !

Marcel as much as it aggravates us to see these things happening we both can see the alignment of the powers and events that are indicating that very time of which you speak .

Unfortunately, justice, dignity, love of country and love of the land has come to mean nothing for most Jews.

If you totally trash your character it doesn’t matter what you have for possessions, because those will fall by the wayside. People won’t matter, either, because all vestiges of justice, love, and dignity have been flushed down the toilet.

    Charles,I’m reminded of what Jesus said ;
‘Without Me you can do nothing’ and it rings more true,,ore real to me than ever before.
I look at the Nations United and in their collective incompetence cannot save those in Dafur being systematically exterminated by the Sudanese Islamic government.
I see all the billions spent to fix Iraq after Saddam and see more failure.
I see the never ending failure and deception of all political parties from the left to the right who never deliver and only delude the masses, and I look for the Kingdom of God with determination making sure my hands and garments are nto stained bythese liars and their never ending promises and false hopes.
Mankind is a sick puppy who assumes too much about himself.
It becomes more evident to me of the futility of faith in mankind as he progresses into deeper wickedness and rebellion and how much easier God is making it for us to have faith in Him and let go of this soon to be dissolved lie of manking doing anything good or lasting apart from God.
The utter futility of rebuilding Babel is what every politicians offer’s the sheeple today, while Jesus beckons us to lay it all aside and seek His soon coming perfect and everlasting Kindgom.
What a choice we have !
I wonder if Abraham ,the father of faith saw the same futility of man apart from God ?

Earthly Jerusalem is where the earthly seat of spiritual authority and government is for the whole earth and God gave Abraham and his children the entire land of Israel, including Jerusalem forever.

Islam wants to illegally control Jerusalem so they can illegally control the earth’s seat of spiritual authority and implenmet their form of spiritual government upon the entire earth. Thus, the stated goal of Iran, which reflects the the sometimes silent goal of Islam, is to kill or covert all the Jews and take control of Jerusalem and all of Israel.

Ever since the garden of Eden there has been a “struggle” between Satan and God for control over the earth. The people of Satan have fought to establish Satan’s spiritual kingdom on the earth and the people of God have fought to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on the earth. This struggle will not end utill Jesus returns to the earth to settle the matter once and for all.

The outcome has already been decided and the victory was already won at the cross. Jesus will come back to enforce the victory and establish and rule over His earthly Kingdom in Jerusalem.

The devil working through his people wants to stop Jesus from comming back and establishing His Kingdom in the earth. They believe that if they can kill or convert all the Christians and Jews and take control over Jerusalem they can stop Jesus from ruling the earth.

In my view this is the sole motive behind the land for peace deal. But these efforts to stop God from bringing His Heavenly Kingdom from Heaven to earth through His Son Jesus Christ are totally useless!

Historically these deals have never brought peace. All they have ever brought are better positions for Irael’s enemies to attack Her from. Nothing is to be gained from these deals and they will only bring more death and destruction into Israel. Israel must stand firm and the United States must stand with Her. The Christians and the Jews need to band together to fight the devil’s people and their plans to defy God!

Not to do with this blog topic , has anyone seen the pictures of the finding Iran claimed to be the Ark . It is in the Ararat mountain range . So many things are starting to come together so fast that the Great Tribulation may be sooner than we think .

In the Hebrew Holy Bible found in Genesis 15:18-21 The land of Palestine was given to Israel for them to keep including Gaza, Judea, Samaria and not to give them up to their enemies. They should defend it even at the cost of their lives. They should remain strong and steadfast and not to show any sign of weakness because if they do their enemies will take advantage of it.

Their God who is Adonai Yahweh even fixed the boundaries of the lands given to them and if they do not have it now completely, they should conquer it for the sake of their descendants.

    Charles,
Are there recent pictures and new news about the ark? I have seen movies/documentaries and pictures that people took. Unfortunately there aren’t alot of pictures. But alot of people have seen it over many years. Because of the extreme climate on the mountain it is supposedely only visible at certain times and at times if you fly over you can see it from the air. Some don’t believe this is really the ark. I do.

    Nerah ,
I saw some pictures of the what looks like petrified wood planks on Mt Suleiman in Iran’s Elburz Range .Also an explanation of that location with respect to the land of Shinor . (The ark in iran )is what I typed in .

The ark has been known to be located on mount Arafat in Turkey for YEARS. i just watched a show lastnight and they spoke about the new claims that it is in Iran. They say it is not true. Look up the ark on mt. Ararat in Turkey. The mountain does go into Iran but where it is located is in Turkey. It is in 2-4 pieces and many people have seen it through the years. The whole thing, and metal items inside. Utensils, hammer or ax. Blessings

The claim was made because of Noah’s travel to Shinor . This they believe puts the Ark to the East of Iraq . We don’t know exactly how advanced the people of that time really was .
