Israel risks Jews for Arab ‘dignity’

March 1st, 2007  ·  20 Comments

Israel on Wednesday went one step further in making good on its promise to, yet again, sacrifice its own security for the sake of Arab “dignity” by easing airport security checks on the one group of people capable of mass-murdering airline passengers: Arab Muslims.

In response to the nagging of Israeli Arab lawmakers over the “degradation” of Arab passengers at Israel’s airports, the head of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) promised to spend huge amounts of money to install new technology and ensure that all passengers are checked the same.

But if the Arabs really want these kinds of “humiliating” checks to stop, maybe they should focus on getting the more violent elements of their society to shape up.

You see, the real problem is that most of the Arabs (and I say this knowing that there are many truly good, loyal Israeli Arabs) don’t see the fact that some of their number engage in anti-Israel violence as a problem.

In fact, they celebrate violence against Israel by their own and by neighboring Arab entities. (Read more about Israeli Arab support for Hezbollah rocket attacks on Israel last summer.)

And still they have the audacity to demand that Israel change its ways, that Israel bend over backwards and put itself at risk to make them feel like equal citizens when they applaud the enemies of the state?

This whole whining and moaning bit seems to work really well for the Arabs, not only here in Israel, but also in America and Europe.

Maybe its time that we non-Arabs start to whine and moan every time the Arabs do something we don’t like and demand they change their behavior and rein in their bad apples.

And before anyone lays into me about how I can’t possibly know what these poor Arab victims are going through, I want to note that years ago, before I was married and had a family of my own, I was regularly targeted as a single male passenger for extra security checks at Israel’s international airport.

While one time I did get rather annoyed at having missed my flight, I would hardly describe the experience as “humiliating,” nor would I demand the Israelis put their lives at greater risk for the sake of my own pride.

You would think, that the Arabs would want the Israeli’s to make sure the flight, will be as safe as possible. After all, they are passengers too. Even though it does mean, that they have to be checked out. If they have a problem with that, then they should take it up with the radical Arabs who are to blame, that this kind of safety procedure has to be done. I know if it was me, that I would rather be a little inconvenienced in knowing, that it will help to make the flight safer for everyone. And the Israeli’s should not put themselves at risk, to appease the selfish demands of the Arabs.

You have to admit, Israel’s enemies know how to wear them down. They know what works and what doesn’t work.
I’m sure the Palestinians have a big list of specific demands that are part of their war against the Jew’s.
What is so sad is how helpful they are in their own planned extermination.
All this under the lie of peace and with no evidence of any peace anywhere by this cult of death and destruction.
It goes to show that without God’s light and wisdom ,the natural man is a blind fool.
Once Israel comes to the end of it’s failed attempts to live in peace with death worshipers, and trusting in foreign idols, and seek God ,some wisdom will return to their heads.
Right now Israel does look bankrupt in this area.
Thank God that will soon change.
All mankind is stupid ,devoid of knowledge…….

    Well put Marcel,
When you say all mankind is stoo-ped
    I say Yes….very low…bent way over.
Many of them…..been turned over to a reprobate mind as the Lord God said would happen.
but Praise God for those that Walk in the light of His Love.
I would be stooped too, if I did not have His light. I am clinging to every bit of light that is shed on me by other believers also.
    This little light of mine…..
    I’m gonna let it shine.

And Joyce, you are so patient.I hope that it doesn’t take a tragedy to reinstate good checking system.

    Anne ,
I think you must not have understood Joyce just right . She isn’t patient about Arab sniviling about being discriminated against . They applauded 911 and hate us . Their heroes are killing Christians and Jews . Muslims are the only idiots killing innocent people with great pleasure today. She has no pity for a people that harbors those murdering morons and would like to exclude them from the real world system of transportation and populace . Joyce is totally pro Israel and an avid Bible reader .
As for pronouncing how stupid everybody else is , maybe it’s not the whole world that’s wrong. It could be that the time for the events that you hate ,has come . You may find Gods timing inconvenient and conflicts with your life plans . The Lords coming will just as inconvenient for those that love it here on earth during these times . We know that its coming why are we fighting the will of God ?
Insulting outburst at Christian people voting their conscience is juvenile and does not bring praise to God , especially if their actions were His will to bring about today’s scenario’s . Whose face would be red then ?

All I know is: Jesus did Everything publicly….He was not a man of secret actions…..And….He was not a “war monger.”

Israel does not have to answer to Anyone but Almighty God. They do not have to wimp out and be the obedient servant to the whole wide world….

The Jewish people answer to a higher standard—-to a Higher Power—-God Himself. When will Israel’s leaders just stand up to those who are continuing to meddle and give away Israel’s land and rights and say:

“We don’t need you interfering with us. This is our nation and our people. Our land is ours by a sovereign act of God and we are not interested in anyone else’s opinions and promptings to give up our land to “promote peace that will never come by giving in to the demands of our enemies….They hate us and behind their smiles are daggers and death. And so, America and the world, leave us to work out our problems…..it appears you are not doing a very good job of working out your own problems!!!!’

‘America, clean up your own house, and then talk to us again maybe….then perhaps——we may listen.”

It is a little bit about learning one of life’s greatest lessons======LEARNING TO SAY: NO WAY, JOSE!!!

People as individuals and as a confederacy will push you as far as you will allow them to….So the sooner each of us learns to draw the line and say NO when it is the appropriate answer=====THE BETTER OFF WE WILL ALL BE!

Please forgive me, ya’ll….I am on my “soapboxs” tonight. It is just that I absolutely despise seeing the Nation of Israel be treated as though they are some small, dumb group of “no accounts.”

The Jewish people throughout history have proven to be the most intelligent, most gifted and most giving people in the entire world….Why world opinion talks about them the way they do really gets to me…..

Ah, but I believe I have found the reason! It is Jealousy! Jealousy is a terrible sin. God deal with the hearts of all who have the spirit of jealousy operating within their lives…..

Thank you Ryan, for keeping us informed as to what is taking place so we can pray and seek the Lord on behalf of the Nation and people (both Jew and gentile) living Israel.

May the peace of God fill each of our minds and hearts now and always as we stand for right things in a world that is spiraling out of control.

Hey. I just hope no one misunderstood me. I totally support Israel. I was referring to Mankind without God. That’s all. I read the scripture Marcel used.
That also is why I used stoo-ped. “Man is Bent”and devoid of knowledge when he operates without acknowledging the Creator.
Joyce….I understood you well, and all I meant was that if Israel was forced under a hand of Israeli Arabs (and their life was important to them also) I hope it would not take a tragedy to help them see what forcing the hand of Israel caused.
Too tired tonight. I know what I wrote earlier and it is vague. Sorry bout that.

  • 7 Joyce // Mar 2, 2007 at 8:13 am

    Anne,
I’m sorry too, that we misunderstood your comment to me. And I hope you know, that the second part of Charles’ comment was not meant for you. I’m sorry he forgot to clarify that. I think we must all be tired tonight.

  • 8 Marcel // Mar 2, 2007 at 2:44 pm

Muslims are the only idiots killing innocent people with great pleasure today.

You left out that they are getting much help and training and money from your boy George so he can get his Palestinian state.
“”Insulting outburst at Christian people voting their conscience “”
Lean not unto thine own understanding ,in all thy ways acknoiwledge Him and He will direct thy path.
Thats the difference between you and me .
You rely on your easily decieved mind and I listen to what the Lord is saying.
You then blame your mistake on God and continue without repentance head held up high.

If you were so stupid to vote for one arrogant fool who divides Israel and then say it was God’s will, then you like much of the backslid, blind and decieved church in America are a on the road to destruction .

  • 9 Charles Wesley // Mar 2, 2007 at 11:52 pm

Your reading and comprehension skills must be failing you Marcel if you are talking to me . And your manners as a Christian does not complement you or God .

  • 10 Nathan // Mar 3, 2007 at 4:36 pm

Marcel at least you right about one thing…”Muslims are the only idiots killing innocent people with great pleasure today.”

Look Marcel when Arabs stop blowing stuff up and killing people like mad then maybe I will listen to their “rights” but until then I put my money on wiping out Gaza as the only way to success.

  • 11 Marcel // Mar 3, 2007 at 5:08 pm

I suppose your boy George compliments God by his obedience and manners as a christian ,always rewarding Isamic terrorism while punishing obedient Jews who obey God by rebuilding on their land ?
Are we double minded hypocrites or just blind ?
His self willed agenda is rebellion against God and you don’t have the inclination to comment on his reading and comprehension skills ?
Why is that ,oh wise one ?

  • 12 Victor Passenheim // Mar 4, 2007 at 5:34 am

    Ryan,

I visited Israel for the first time last year. I am single, and just as you said, was targeted for extra scrutiny at the airport security checkpoints. I had never in my life experienced such in-depth probing, but I totally understand where they are coming from and fully support their methods.

How many victims of terrorism would have been saved if the rest of the world had implemented security measures at their airports like that of Israel’s?

The politically correct crowd would rather have some blood on their hands than have to admit that there are evil elements in society that need to be confronted.

  • 13 Charles Wesley // Mar 4, 2007 at 7:16 am

    Again Marcel,
Read My Lips ………….. I did not Vote for any Republican .
Are you limited to uttering only inflamitory statements about other Christians .You protest too much and too late. That really makes me wonder how you really voted . Tell us just what contributions you have made to boost support for Israel . How could the people know that Bush would not do the reasonable thing in Israel? If you want to express your anger , direct it at Karl Rove . He is the one that went after the Christian vote . The Democrats could care less .

  • 14 Steven // Mar 4, 2007 at 10:42 am

Alright, you know what? I’m sick and tired of toying around with these muslim heathens.

We’ve tried to be civil; we’ve tried to be understanding. And what do these less-than-human scum-sucking pagans do in return? They indoctrinate our youth, they demean our women, they try to kill our brethren, and they want to destroy our beloved country. ENOUGH!!

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH! I am sick and tired of these traitors coming to America, enjoying AMERICAN FREEDOMS, amongst AMERICAN CITIZENS, living on AMERICAN LAND, teaching at AMERICAN SCHOOLS, under the protection of the AMERICAN FLAG, while all along plotting our annihilation. The Muslims are striving to subjugate us beneath the oppression of slavery and death, and they expect us to lie down and die before them, like sheeps to the slaughter?? This is madness!

No more; this treachery must end. Every last muslim must be deported from America. We need to take the gloves off, roll up our sleeves, and do some major house-cleaning.

We need to declare a War on Islam. And this is not the same thing as muslims saying “Death to America.” Look, we didn’t want to fight - we were happy to be at peace. But, they attacked us - they killed our people.

I say, that’s it - all bets are off.

    1. If Iraq doesn’t get in line soon, we need to bomb Baghdad into oblivion.

    2. We need to bomb Mecca off the face of the earth.

    3. We need to stop toying around with Iran, and deliver an ultimatum. We need to tell Iran that “they have 24 hours to yield to our command.” And if they don’t yield to our wishes, then we need to nuke until they glow and then shoot ‘em in the dark.

    4. If you’re a “moderate-American muslim”, and you’re not willing to swear total loyalty to the United States, then you have 100 hours to go back to the sandbox across the Atlantic ocean.

  • 15 Newel // Mar 4, 2007 at 2:58 pm

    Luke 6:32
If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.

  • 16 Marcel // Mar 4, 2007 at 3:14 pm

How could the people know that Bush would not do the reasonable thing in Israel?

All you have to do is scratch a little , just below the surface and you can see the shallow support Israel gets from most Christians in America.

If it commes to laying down their idols ,they will sell Israel out in a second as they did in 2004.
It is annoying for them to be reminded of the truth and so they have no love for the reminder .
They do have much love and patience for their false peacemaker though .
Pray ,pray is their retort instead of facing their grave error.
If you listened to the Lord instead of your large brain you might have heard/ hear something else.

In June of 2002 the wolf came out openly for his Palestinian state agenda.
In 2004 the majority of Christians in America ignored this evil and voted for him anyways as the better of two evil’s.
Also as I said to you before ,the Lord told me to stay out of the corrupt American political system .
He is judging this corrupt evil system and those who partake of it.
So instead of warning others to flee from this evil man who divides Israel you would rather I keep silent just as the devil desires I do ?

As for what I do related to Israel I don’t answer to you.

    Steve ,
there is no hope for America ,we are past repentance and even our LAWLESS leaders betray us importing more Islamic terrorists and illegal aliens.
Major crime is exploding in our cities as our leaders release violent criminals to prey again on the people . Our government failed us on sept 11.2001 and they fail us again and agan.
The moslem terrorist in America has more rights than the average U.S. citizen .Those who trust in tghe flesh are doomed.

Do not put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man in whom there is no help.
    Pslam 146;3

  • 17 Victor Passenheim // Mar 4, 2007 at 3:38 pm

    Newel,

Good Scripture verse, bad application. It is neither honorable nor intelligent nor spiritual to allow the wicked to trample over the righteous and the Bible does not teach that at all anywhere.

  • 18 Newel // Mar 4, 2007 at 4:47 pm

Victor, who are you defining as the wicked and the righteous? I think you are missing this. The righteous are the obiedient of God the wicked are the same that are in lawlessness. It is easy to love those who belong to God through Jesus Christ but many of you have a mistaken view that the nation of Israel is counted as righteous. In fact you seem to believe that it is simply the same faith except without Christ. This is wrong and this is not what the Bible teaches. All outside of Christ are those who God calls wicked. All those in Him are righteous, not of our own doing but only through Christ who paid the debt. So the Luke verse fits very well in its intent. I simply can’t help it if you do not understand the difference.

  • 19 Victor Passenheim // Mar 5, 2007 at 3:09 am

    Newel,

Do a little study on God’s commitment to the nation of Israel. If “All outside of Christ are those who God calls wicked” then I’d like to know who brought about the rebirth of the nation of Israel. I’d also like to know if you’ve ever even met a devout Jew. Keep in mind that the Bible (Romans) also teaches of a partial hardening of the Jews by God. This was all done for the benefit of the Gentiles. Read up and you’ll maybe see what the appropriate attitude should be. I, for one, feel a special kinship with my brothers and sisters of the Jewish faith. I feel sorry for you, because it would appear that you completely miss out on this cherished relationship that results from being adopted into God’s family.

  • 20 Anne Kraemer // Mar 9, 2007 at 8:28 am

    Dear Newel

Here you are, again talking a non-biblical truth concerning Israel.
Do not you know who was walking in the garden talking to Adam and Eve?
Messiah came in Noah, Abraham, Joseph and in Moses, and in Joshua and in David….great reminders of His faithful attributes and personality were shared all throughout the old testament.
His light was being shed into the hearts of the Faithful Hebrew people and even into all the happenings and Covenants.
Victor is only the third person to politely refute your stance and ask you to consider what Paul in the book of Romans has to say. Why is it you won’t allow your processing chamber to be open to this?
