PeaNUT-job Jimmy Carter claims his truest and most heartfelt desire is for Israel to live in peace, but all he really cares about is getting the Israelis and Arabs to sign another peace of worthless paper so he can cement his own legacy.
Sadly, Carter’s is the same path being tread by President George W. Bush, as it was by Bill Clinton before him, and George Bush Sr. before him.
Bush, with his messianic declarations about brining peace to the Middle East via his “two-state vision,” certainly finds himself agreeing with Carter’s assertion that “Israel must exchange Palestinian land [sic] for peace.”
That America’s leaders failed to change their tune after Israel’s full surrender of the Gaza Strip not only did not result in peace, but actually increased the violence and led to Hamas’ electoral victory should be proof enough that their true goal is not peace, at least not for Israel.
I know people here and there are writing to the White House, and there has been the occasional pro-Israel rally (all of which I feel lacked real fire and passion.) But why don’t Israel’s numerous friends in the US react to Bush’s policies regarding the Holy Land in the same impassioned manner that the liberal Left reacts to the war in Iraq?
If Carter were still in office, I can imagine a far greater mobilization of Christian opposition to his policies vis-a-vis Israel.
But Bush’s determined quest to play midwife to “Palestine” is no less dangerous.
In my view, it is Bush’s strong stand against the America-hating Muslim “extremists” - which the president wrongly identifies as a mere fringe element in the Islamic world - that has kept the largely patriotic, America-loving Christian community from focusing too much attention on his “Road Map to Israel’s demise.”
I don’t believe that Bush himself is evil, or has evil intentions. But like so many Christians in America, I believe he is blinded to God’s plans for Israel, and he is allowing his “war on terror” to be used by the true, underlying Enemy to blunt what could be massive American Christian support for and positive participation in that divine scheme.
I remember that just after the September 11, 2001 attacks on the US an American friend told my colleague Stan Goodenough that America’s Evangelicals were still for Israel, but that we needed to back off on all the pro-Israel stuff for a bit and let them deal with the assault on their own nation.
It is right to face down the demonic Islamofacist assault on America, but not at the expense of remembering that Israel takes center stage in God’s plans to defeat evil once and for all.
If Americans are allowing themselves to be made ineffective in the battle to prevent the Enemy’s efforts to thwart God’s plans by dividing Israel, then their own war on terror is ultimately pointless.

That is the position I see many fellow believers taking, and I believe it to be misguided.
Yes, the LORD is going to fulfill His will, regardless of who stands where. But one day we will stand before Him and have to answer for our actions (or lack thereof) while He was at work.
We are not bystanders. We are supposed to be participants in what He is doing.

Yes, what Bush and Sharon did to the people of Gush Katif was evil - but that evil came from a much deeper, more sinister source than Bush and Sharon themselves.
I don’t believe Bush is evil, but that he is being used as a tool of the evil one to accomplish evil on this earth.
Likewise I don’t believe that those who believe like Analee are “worthless,” but rather misguided and perhaps willfully blind to the truth.
I am with you on what is happening, Marcel, but I think we need to respond to our fellow believers who aren’t seeing it with love and prayer, not scorn.

Jimmy Carter should stick to the business of peanut farming, because he doesn’t seem to have a clue about what’s going on. Because if he did, then being a Christian he should know better than to promote this false peace process. But like Bush he has let the world, and other things, get in the way of being an informed Christian of God’s Word. Because both Bush, and Carter, should take the time to read, and study their Bible as faithful Christians should do, whether they are the President, and ex-President, or not. Because if they were to do that, then they should know that pushing Israel into giving up land, and accepting this false peace process is wrong, and against God’s Word. And I pray they will come to realize this before it’s too late.

I believe that we are all on the same side guys . No body has all the answers . I do believe that we will see the first part of the Tribulation . You know I’ll bet that God does not depend on us for anything . But we do want to support Israel until our end which may be sooner than later .
How about Satans latest attack on the very root of Christianity ? Now they say that they have found the bones of Jesus and have DNA evidence . Compared to what? I know that there are many Christians in the US that are doing much on behalf of Israel. But unfortuantely, there are many more who in their hearts support Israel, but in practice do nothing.
It is these that I want to spur to action.
Prayer is important, and should never be forgotten, but action is equally important - to make ourselves available to be used physically by God to make an impact.
I think our model for these days needs to be David. He was a mighty prayer warrior, constantly on his knees before the LORD. But he was also a warrior in the physical for the sake of Israel, a man of great action. And for this, he was called a “man after God’s own heart.”

I have not cared for Carter or any of the Bush leaders. What would have probably been worse is Kerry or Gore in the Office.
I accept that George is a brother, but a very misinformed one on whom Israel is.
I have warned Jeb bush about his brothers actions toward Isreal. It has been said that George is stubborn. Well, that is not a good trait. I also think that in his mind, he is trying to democrocize the world. It will not happen. The Arab leaders follow Allah. Where Allah leads, rebellion, hatred and murder prevail.
Allah, being a pyseudo name for either Satan or a high ranking demon, is not for any form of peace inspite of the advertizement that Islam is peaceful. It is like calling the criminal Mexicans nice guys.
We are headed for a world conflict very soon from the looks of things. What will be the outcome of this thing with Iran, it is hard to say today. I am praying for a high evangelism to break out in all the Arab states in the midst of this increasing conflict. The more Arabs seeing the truth, the better.
One thing I do know. JESUS will not allow anything to stand in the way of the Church inspite of what our politicians think is right. The Commission will be completed soon. By soon, I mean a few years probably.
In conclusion, I am aware that the majority of the Church is asleep when it comes to Israel. Only a few of the fellowships on this area even mention her. We had a booth for Israel three years in a row at a mission conference. We had Jews for Jesus bags to hand out. All of them went in a period of two hours. We also took first prize for the most information on Israel.
John Hagee is the only one we can work with in support of Aliyah and the orphanage in Israel.

Let me make myself clear, about the subject of Bush and Carter. When I made comment #6, what I really should have put was IF they are Christians, then they should read, and study, their Bibles, and if they’re not, then they the should get themselves right with the Lord. But all I was going by when I made comment #6, is their claim to be Christians. Because I don’t know for sure if they are Christians, or not. My salvation, is the only salvation, that I can be sure about. I could state my opinion about their salvation, but that doesn’t mean my opinion would be right. And on comment #11, What I’m saying is this, that I believe, it’s not my place to judge their salvation. And I will leave that for the Lord to judge. But just because, I’m not going to bring it upon myself to judge others, doesn’t mean that I am a blind sheep. In Matthew chap. 7 : verses 1 & 2 it says:
“Judge not, that ye be not judged.”
“For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”
And that doesn’t mean that I believe Christians should just sit back, and do nothing. As Christians I believe, that we should take a stand, and fight, against the iniquities of this world. And if you have read the other comments, that I have made on these forums, then you should know that already.

II Timothy, chapter 2, sets forth the path of a “good soldier” in the time of apostasy, which is now. We are instructed to “shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” “Foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.” “And the servant of the LORD must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in MEEKNESS instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” Name calling among Christians is not Godly. Not one of us knows all the mystery of God, but Jesus told his followers to love one another. “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Foolish human pride causes divisions.

We don’t know if Kerry would have been sympathetic to Israel . Instead of questioning what other people have done and can’t change , what are you doing for God? you must think that we can change the will of God . If you regularly attend church you should know the discontent Christians are feeling . I don’t know where you get the idea, that I’m wanting to live in a confused faith of not knowing, and not wanting to know the truth. I’ve never said anything like that. It seems to me you’re the one, that’s confused. To begin with your assumption, that I voted for Bush is wrong. And if you had ever bothered to read any of my other comments, then you would realize, that I do not support Bush, or his policies. And that I am a strong supporter of Israel. And all this started because I mistakenly referred to Bush, and Carter as Christians, instead of saying if they were Christians. And because I said that I didn’t believe, that it is my place to judge their salvation. That does not mean, that I don’t have an opinion about it. But that’s all that it is just an opinion. And that doesn’t mean, that I can’t discern the fruit of the works of someone, that is claiming to be a Christian. But I still believe, that it is not our place to judge others salvation, because our judgement isn’t infallible. As you should realize, from all the mistaken judgements you have made about me, that you should not be the judge of anyone’s salvation. That is the responsibility of our Lord, because he does not make mistakes.

Once again you have misunderstood me. You need to read that statement again. What I was trying to say is this, THAT I AM ABLE TO DISCERN THE FRUIT OF THE WORKS OF SOMEONE CLAIMING TO BE A CHRISTIAN. And sure I can judge for myself, whether I believe if someone is a Christian, or not. But all that I’ve been trying to say is, that I’m not the ultimate judge of these things, and neither are you. And I really don’t understand why we are arguing about this. And I don’t plan to do so anymore. So please find someone else to pick on.

Did you know that was king David’s father’s name? But I will point out that the name is wasted on you. You talk about the $50 billion plus that Israel owes the US. Gee, I wonder how much money Israel would have made by now (far MORE than $50 billion) had she not been pressured BY THE USA time and time again to give up land which they won outright from wars which the Arabs instigated seeking about Israel’s destruction. For example, the oil fields in the Sinai.
So who owes who? Israel has always been offered up on the altar of “peace” by the international community. No normal nation would agree (or has agreed, historically, except for Czechoslovakia in 1938 - but that was no agreement) to be used as a bargaining chip to appease the bloodthirsty appetite of a people (Arabs) who will be satisfied with nothing less than the complete annihilation of their country (Israel) for the mere “promise” of peace. No normal nation would agree to indefensible borders, like Israel has, in response to the lying rhetoric coming from the heads of state of inimical neighboring nation states. They would recognize them for what they are - enemy nations who have never stopped seeking the upperhand, always doing so via violent means, to bring about ultimate defeat (of Israel). One thing Israel can be accused of - stupidity, corruption, and betraying its own people.
The US has gotten FAR more out of this relationship than it has given. Take some time out of your rabid, frenzied existence (that which you call living) and see if you can document the multitude of contributions to civilization by the Jewish people. Then counter that with the absolutely sh**** treatment they’ve received from the nations.
Of course, being the filthy excuse of a human being that you are, I’m pretty sure you’re INCAPABLE of exercing judgment truthfully and justly.
You could only be too happy if Israel didn’t exist at all, and therefore, happy to cheer those on who wish to bring that about.

I agree that we are to judge moral right and wrong!And it is obvious about some that they are not saved. however it seems you are proclaiming to be one who can decide whether ALL Christians are saved… Not our job!!! Maybe you should try and redirect that anger of yours into righteous anger against the enemy and inform people but not by telling them they are not Christians and all the bull you have said? No matter what we do Iran will continue at us and Israel. We need to attack them!!! As far as Iraq and Afghanistan…? are you against the war? do you think Bush was wrong in sending us there? I want to thank you, for coming to my defense about Marcel’s comments, that he made to me. Just because, I didn’t agree with his views about things. I really thought, that his comments to me were uncalled for. I don’t believe, that I was rude to him, I was just trying to explain my position to him. I hope maybe, that he’ll think about the things he said to me, and realize that he was rude, and insulting, to his sister in Christ. And like you said, he does seem to have a lot of anger. And also, as you said, if he would only only try to redirect that anger at the enemy, instead of at Christians. It might show Christians, that we should love, and support each other, and not be hurtful,or degrade each other. At least I hope that it would.
