God stopped Tel Aviv bomber

February 21st, 2007  ·  7 Comments

West Bank Mama has a take on yesterday’s thwarted Tel Aviv suicide bombing that is, with typical disregard for the divine, being ignored by the rest of the media.

One of the most frustrating aspects of living in Israel is watching so many of the Israelis (the vast majority, I would say) totally disregard the hand of the Almighty in the defense of their nation.

Conventional wisdom in Israel, especially among the ruling elite, is that Israel is in and of itself a mighty military force with no true rival in the region.

So few stop to consider how in the world such a tiny nation with so few people and natural resources became so mighty as to be able to defeat the combined forces of much larger nations.

Or how about the Israelis’ uncanny ability to prevent so many of the terrorist attacks planned against them?

Why are the well-funded, heavily-armed and internationally-backed “Palestinian” terrorists not able to carry out attacks on Israel with nearly the same frequency or destructive power as the globally-shunned militants in Iraq?

It can’t be that the IDF and Shin Bet are that much better than the US military. Someone Else must be playing a big role in Israel’s defense; it just doesn’t make sense otherwise.

And it is a shame that more Israelis don’t see this. But they will.

A day is coming that the strength of their own arms will fail (we started to see this already with the debacle in Lebanon last summer), and the nation will see and understand Who it is that defends them.

I know this to be true, I knew it as as soon as I read this story yesterday. Monday night, my congregation had a men’s prayer meeting, as we do twice a month. We were praying for Israel, as well as America. Actually I would say it is more like worshiping warfare that we did. Well, I had my hands on a map of Israel, while praying in the spirit. One specific thing I and another were led to declare was confusion in the ranks of the enemy. When we were done, before I stood, I looked to see where my hands were. My right hand was over the area encompassing Tel Aviv! We need to pray and fight like never before for our land, our people! As for those, including myself, here in America, who would say “that’s there, I’m here” I say, this countries fate, as well as all others, are linked to Israel’s! It takes nothing more than a few casual glances throughout scripture to see this!

    Shalom

Our Father has never needed a majority to accomplish his will for his people. He searches for the one that dares to believe. No matter where they are or the environment that they live in,a heart bent low for the sake of the kingdom will over throw a thousand in disobiedience , two will over throw 10000 . We have a wonderful heritage of those who came before us and though they did not recieve the promise of God they suffered yet conquered kingdoms put armies to flight . I pray that the Lord will open the eyes of those who are blinded to the truth that has set them free and kept them in thy devine grace. I thank you for my brothers and sisters who have obeyed your call to intercede on behalf of Israel . I also thank you for your guidence in all the ones that have picked up the call in the spirit to pray against the enemies of your people to bring confusion into the enemies camp . Father our hearts are open for your use in Jesus we thank you and remain sumitted to you.

It’s always been amazing to me how people would rather believe any explanation for the act of a significant occurrence, than to believe that it was a miracle from God. And it is truly a miracle how the tiny nation of Israel could defeat those larger nations as they did. It’s like the miracle of when young David defeated Goliath with his slingshot. And I have had things happen in my life, and in others, that I know, that could be nothing less than miracles from God. And it is a shame, that more people don’t recognize when these, and other significant events happen, as being miracles of God. But as you said Ryan they will.

Haven’t you wondered why God doesn’t just Appear and clear up all the doubts and confusion. It’s because this life for us is only a test to see what we really love and respect. People will only believe what they want to believe based on what they want from life. This is why people can justify even convince themselves it is God’s will to betray the well being of others for their own interests. If you believes God loves you more than others then you don’t have to fear when you place your interest above their well being. If you can convince youself their is no God then anything is game if you don’t have to fear imedieate consiquenses. If you believe you can buy God off and appease His Anger with some form of sacrificial bribe or offering you can do what you want and pay God off later. I do believe as the scripturers say Israel will come back to God as a nation but as it was in the desert it may only be those who survive the testing of their loyalty to God. As it will also be the churchs fate not all those who call me Lord Lord will enter the Kingdom but those who continue to do His will in a world that increasingly hates us and is attempting to wipe us out. Just like Israel the church must be purified before entering the promised land and being wed to Jesus Christ. WE WILL SHARE THE SAME FATE AS WE SHARE THE SAME DESTINY!

There are many who speak about the occurences that take place on this earth especially concerning Israel and christians, as if the God we worship has lost control and is confused. Yet year after year we see his promises concerning Israel and his church come to pass . We hear of more and more christians and churches taking up the call to intercede on behalf of our brothers and sisters ,the Jewish people as well as our christian brothers and sisters in other nations , who are continously persecuted , imprisoned and even killed. Israelites are killed because they are Israel ,christians are killed because they belong to Jesus. Jesus broke down the dividing wall between the Jews and the gentiles making them one people the children of the Most High God whom we christians now call Father and who Israel still refers to as Eloim among other names. We no that God has never been confused or will ever be out of control. His word is absolute truth. It will not return void. We as Lovers of God only need ask according to his will and he will answer . I pray Father in Jesus that you will continually send confusion into the enemies camp and over throw thier plans . I also ask Father that you reveal to the wise of your children those that are enemies that have snuck in unnoticed . Those that would hinder us from obeying your truth. I pray that we will learn to take courage and cloth ourselves in humility that we may serve you in the fullness of your sacrifice on our behalf, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world , Jesus our Lord and Savior. Shalom
