Once again, PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas - that illustrious, Holocaust-denying “moderate” - has openly stated that his primary concern is with forwarding “Palestinian” national interests, and not necessarily with making peace with Israel.
Will anyone listen to him this time? Certainly not in the halls of power in Washington and Jerusalem.
“We told Israel that this agreement was made to protect the unity of the Palestinian people [sic] and its national interests,” Abbas told reporters in Amman. “The agreement is an expression of support for Palestinian interests, but Israel may have misunderstood it.”
The problem for Israel is that “Palestinian” interests, as expressed in the overwhelming election of Hamas, are primarily centered on the destruction of the Jewish state.
For Abbas to “protect” those interests by making himself a fig leaf for Hamas’ virulent positions should be evidence of where this “peace” process really stands.
I don’t think Israel misunderstood anything. I think that more and more Israeli officials are finally waking up to the fact that the “Palestinians” are not and never were real peace partners.

From the beginning the west has made excuses for Abbas and propped himn up as a weak leader in need of great support .
This devious stratdegy always makes excuses for Abbas failure to stop his terrorists and only pressured Israel to make painful concessions.
How can anyone in their right mind expect the west to give Israel a fair deal when from the beginning they have kept the dying Palestinians alive time and again ?
If the U.S. president had done the right thing ,the Palestinians’ would have long ago been reduced to a non-threat to Israel.
The west keep propping them up with their weapons ,positive PR, millions and millions of dollars and CIA and Military training all to be used against Israel.
I am amazed that so many Christians are looking to a future peace deal to fulfill Bible prophecy and are so clueless that it is happening right here right now.
The more muscular U.S. role the Palestinians ,E.U. and Jordan want from Bush/Rice is focused against Israel and never their poor, needy, pitiful, victims the Palestinian’s
The outright evil against Israel by the world will bring God’s wrath upon all the nations .
Rice was also meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who is shouldering Europe’s leadership role in pushing for peace in the Middle East and has pressed for more frequent gatherings of the Quartet.
European diplomats, like some U.S. allies in the Arab world, have also been pressing for a more muscular U.S. role in bringing peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
German officials on Tuesday rejected suggestions that Rice’s meeting with the Israeli and Palestinian leaders had been a failure, saying the talks had indicated stronger U.S. involvement in seeking a solution and had shown communication lines between Abbas and Olmert were intact.

Can any of these articles be emailed to the
white house??? There is a comment@whitehouse.gov address. Some of
the emails should eventually get through if
enough of them are sent!

Hi Loretta - I think maybe I should add an “Email this” feature to the bottom of each article. That way you all can shoot off an email to whoever you want with the latest article very easily.

Good idea, Ryan. And I’ll plug away sending those email. HOWEVER, I bet that if all of us sent emails every day, not one would get through, because I don’t believe there is ANYBODY of significant rank willing to tell the truth, in this or any other administration on the face of the earth. Every nation wants to offer up Israel as the sacrificial lamb for “peace” in the Middle East. Nobody, including the US, seriously wants to win the war on terror. It’s all about “What can we do to least inconvenience ourselves and prevent our standard of living from going down the drain”.

I don’t understand how the US can keep ignoring statements like that. But I guess if they were to acknowledge them, then they would have to admit, that this peace process is nothing, but a sham, and a failure. And unfortunately, I don’t see that happening.

Abu Mazan = Black September member, planner and finanicer of the Munich Massacre. The USA are a bunch of weenies for talking to him, and Olmert should order Mossad to kill him because he does not deserve to live on this earth.
