US doesn’t negotiate with (some) terrorists

February 16th, 2007  ·  9 Comments

The United States has a well-known policy (in theory) of not negotiating with terrorists. Unfortunately, that policy often takes a back seat to the politically-correct leanings of liberal politicians seeking to leave a legacy of “peace.”

We saw the two sides of this coin at work this week when the US Congress put a freeze on plans to dole out American taxpayers’ money to a terror-supporting Palestinian Authority, while Condoleezza Rice refused to give the Palestinians an ultimatum regarding that same nefarious support for the killing of Jews. (This despite earlier reports that the Bush admin was going to do the right thing.)

Rice and the rest of the Bush Administration feel that they must secure some kind of peace agreement between Israel and the “Palestinians” before the upcoming 2008 US presidential election.

And so we see Rice very clearly being taken in by PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas’ sweet talk about how in the new PA government he and his fellow “moderates” will take responsibility for negotiations with Israel, while those nasty Islamists handle the internal “Palestinian” affairs.

Rice and Bush are so desperate to bring “peace” to the Middle East that they are ready to accept this ludicrous situation, brushing aside the fact that any agreement Abbas may come to with Israel will never actually be implemented without the support of Hamas - well, the “Palestinian” obligations contained in the agreement won’t be implemented.

Abbas is nothing more than a smooth-talking, well-dressed fig leaf masking the true intentions of the Palestinian Arabs, as embodied in the virulent Hamas platform that they overwhelming voted for last year.

You can’t make peace with half of a government, while the other half remains openly dedicated to your destruction.

Let us pray that the Congress makes the right decision and does not make the American people, through their money, party to this dangerous deception.

Ryan, thank you for standing and speaking the truth. Thank you for not showing bias, but for giving accurate information. We can always count on you and Stan to tell the truth.

You both are certainly in the minority….But how wonderful it is to be able to trust you both, and have confidence in your reporting.

I will not give up on prayer with fasting. With God all things are possible. I am believing Him for a breakthrough between the blind side of the US leaders and their being made fools of by the PLO.

Terrorists by any other name are still terrorists.

I forsee a breakthrough, as we who love the US and Israel continue to stand in the Gap for both nations. God is still on His Throne…..He will comfort His people, both in Israel, America and around the world as we seek Him with all of our hearts.

Who besides Bush and those that haven’t a clue ever believed the Palistinians could or would keep their word ? I have not ever heard anybody express the belief that the Arabs can be trusted . So , where did the Roadmap to Hell come from ? I am sure that Arabs feel that negotiating with them shows a sign of weakness . To gain ground in a war without having to shed blood for it, they will say anything . It puts you closer to your enemies throat . On Sept. 11th ,2001 I saw on TV their true feelings . They want nuclear weapons , send them some ! Iran & Syria too!

    Ryan;
‘Rice and Bush are so desperate to bring “peace” to the Middle East that they are ready to accept this ludicrous situation’

The foundation of U.S. peace policy towards Israel is ALL,ALL,ALL built on lies and confusion ,Satan’s fertile ground.
Accept ? NO ,Ryan,They created it.
And by bringing ‘peace by parsing Israel to avowed unchanged terrorists ,you mean the ‘peace ‘they have brought to Iraq ?
The babel/confusion of the U.S. Empire has clouded the minds and seduced the people of God if you actually believe the agenda of the U.S. is to bring peace to Israel,
You have forgotten that “The heart of man is desperately wicked ,Who can know it ”
You wrongly give the imposter peace maker the benifit of the doubt.

Israel’s tragic mistake was to trust the U.S. to bring peace .
This has led to Israel’s subgegation as a vassal state under the thumb of a devious cabal directing Israel’s slow death.
Of course the U.S. will recognize the Hamas terrorists as they recognized Abbas and his Fatah.
And of course the Puppet Minister of Israel will easliy go along with the plan.
That is what a kapo does.
It’s so sad that so many Jews are once again quietly headed for slaugher under the trojan horse of peace.

It seems that the US is willing to let Israel, pay any price for their so-called peace plan. They are determined to push their agenda, no matter what the consequences are to Israel. And I am ashamed that we would have any part in this deceptive plan. I also believe that it is reprehensible for the US to give money to anyone who supports terrorists. We should be supporting Israel, not the terrorists. We are just setting ourselves up for more punishment from God. America needs to wake-up and realize, that God is growing more and more displeased with us. And if we don’t wise up and change our ways it will be disastrous for us all.

I never did much care for George W. as a presidential candidate. I figured, as he claims to be a brother in Jesus, he was much better than the alternative. His opponent Kerry is a smooth talker as well, but I see him as having two sides to his mouth. What, you mean he is like ABBAS? Maybe!!!

I do not see our President making the right decision on Iraq or Israel. I see him as going the same way as King Saul. King Saul disobeyed GOD and lost his leadership. Look how long it took for him to be removed. It must have been a decade before he was killed by the Philistine crowd.

I had emailed Jeb Bush a couple of years back to warn his Brother, the President, about what will happen to this once Great Country of ours if he does not stop this road map nonsense. He has not. Look at what is happening to our Country due to this constant insistence of dividing Israel. We have storms that are the worst in hundreds of years. We are losing men in Iraq by fighting a tech war against demon possessed Arabs. It just keeps gettin worse.

If George W would relent on this dividing of Israel and start blessing Israel with funds and materials, I would think our weather and economy would reverse. I would see the Arabs rebels running from us like a million men were chasing them.

Edward in Oregon….You are so right! And as for Jeb Bush being able to tell his big brother anything….I don’t think anyone can tell him anything….He is so hard headed—stiff necked…Only earnest prayer can open the eyes of GWB…..some may say prayer will not work….but prayer will work and prayer does work…..Let us all come together in one mind and one accord and pray that our President will have the blinders removed from his eyes by Almighty God and he will see the truth, and he will humble himself before God and have the courage to admit that he has been wrong and turn things around before it is too late.

Only earnest prayer can open the eyes of GWB…..some may say prayer will not work….but prayer will work and prayer does work ??

Those who are blind and do not understand the time of America’s judgment and end continue after six years of the same delusion that their prayer will awaken an instrument of God’s judgment as this same nations becomes more and more wicked and further away from repentance.
Your prayers have not worked because God does not hear your prayers, blind followers of the blind.

We really need a Christian leader with some inkling of whats going on . That can’t happen for a year or so if we make it that far . He is as fum bumbling as Inspector Clouseau , but his antics are deadly to Israel . He is completely confident that he is of superior intellect and is very fond of his own opinions . He has also bankrupted this country ,and in doing so has made the USA an easy target for an economic assault by Iran . He could very well cause this country to fail and leave Israel facing the Gog - Magog alliance all alone . In that instance God may be using him to set the stage for the return of Christ .

Marcel, I did not mean to suggest that I think Washington’s true and actual desire to bring peace. I think the US leadership’s desire is to cement their own legacy, and to further the interests of the US.

Forcing Israel to sign a worthless piece of paper is what they currently need in order to do that.

As for the need to pray for GWB - my personal feeling is that he is not going to alter his ways on Israel and the whole “peace” process. BUT, I don’t think that excuses us from praying that he will.

David continued to pray for and respect Saul even after he found out God was going to remove him for his disobedience.

America, more than any other nation on earth today, contains a large enough bloc of real Bible believers to actually influence political decisions. It may not be that way much longer, but there is still time for the US to play a positive role on Israel’s behalf.
