When peace isn’t peace

February 13th, 2007  ·  11 Comments

A leading Egyptian lawmaker from dictator Hosni Mubarak’s own party suggested on Monday that the Muslim world nuke Israel in order to stop it from doing excavation and renovation work in its own capital.

Said Mohammed el-Katani of Israel’s renovation of a collapsed earthen ramp leading to the only Temple Mount gate available to non-Muslims:

“The cursed Israel is trying to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Nothing will work with Israel except for a nuclear bomb that wipes it out of existence.”

This is a statement by a prominent lawmaker from the ruling party in a nation ostensibly at peace with Israel.

Can anyone imagine British lawmakers opposed to the foreign policies of U.S. President George W. Bush suggesting that Europe nuke America into oblivion in order to relieve their displeasure?

This is just another example of how these supposed peace plans are nothing more than a farce. Because I believe that even if Eygpt isn’t physically attacking Israel themselves, that they are backing, and supporting those that are. And the statement that was made about nuking Israel proves that they don’t want, and never will have a true peace with Israel. But no matter what Egypt or the other Muslim countries threaten to do, Israel can’t let themselves be intimidated by their threats. And they need to continue their renovations as planned.

“THOSE THAT CURSE ISRAEL I WILL CURSE” GOD SAID THIS IN HIS WORD AND THAT SETTLES IT. OLMERT MIGHT NOT PROTECT ISRAEL BUT GOD WILL, SO ISRAEL LOOK TO YOUR GOD AND MY GOD FOR YOUR PROTECTION.

Well that just goes to show that the Ishmaelites think with their buttocks . I read somewhere that Mohammad said Israel should govern the old land of Israel . They must think he made a typo when he wrote the Koran .

This is why Arabs cannot be trusted, and it represents just how crazy and foolish they really are. To think that Israel is plotting against them, they just sound like mad crazy dogs.

I agree Charles perhaps he was using a first generation speak and say and ened up with the wrong word.

Lets not forget who arranged the phony peace between Israel and Egypt and who has given Egypt the latest and best weapons which are aimed at Israel.
What Israel’s enemies desire for Israel will fall upon their own heads.
As the Ezekiel 38 war approaches ,keep in mind that there are three countries surrounding Israel which are specifically not mentioned, Lebanon,Egypt and Syria.
Lybia (Put),Persia and Ethiopia,Turkey(Beth Togarmah) are mentioned .
I makes sense that Israel has dealt with the previous three and this may be the hook that sets in motion the Ezekiel 38 Russian led coalition against Israel.
Russia,Persia will have already dealt with the empire and his stretched out military bogged down in judgment in Iraq.
We are closer than many understand.

I agree Marcel, we shouldn’t forget who orchestrated this phony peace, but more importantly God hasn’t forgotten either. And I believe that is why America has been punished, and will suffer even more punishment for our part in this fiasco. I also believe that things are really starting to escalate, and that the time of the tribulation, and our Lord’s return is at hand. And it is true many people, including some Christians don’t understand this, they would rather stick their heads in the sand, and hope that all this strife, and conflict, will just disappear, and that things will be the way they used to be. But I believe things have gone too far for that to ever happen. And for those people who are lost they need to turn to the Lord for salvation before it’s too late.

I think we are closer than we realize . And yes time is running out for people to turn to Christ . If there is anything that we as Christians might do to change the future , it would be to witness to lost souls . You must see that Israel is in Gods hands if you believe the Bible to be His literal word . If we follow the will of God we will spread the Gospel of God and let Him worry about the rest . Yes we will keep Israel in our hearts .

one nuke in Cario, Tehran, Damascus, Tripoli, Moscow…these guys are not going to do anything to Israel. They know they can destroy her, but they would not risk their capitals which would surely be destroyed by Israeli air strikes and Jericho missiles. Either way God help us all.

We can talk (and dream) of nuking Cario, Tehran, Damascus, Tripoli, Moscow…if we stopped pandering to them and we took our gloves off, these rats will stop the rhetoric. The problem is that each time Olmert opens his mouth he weakens Israel’s national security and military advantageous position.

  • 10 Nathan // Feb 23, 2007 at 4:14 pm

I agree Nurit. Why does Israel still act like the little sister of the USA. They have been through enough I think Israel can handle her own business. I would tell those stupid Soviets to put up or shut up. Whats Russia really going to do, attack Israel. Yeah right.

Why don’t the people of Israel ditch Olmert with a vote of no confidence?
