And the Palestinians wonder why they have no tourists

February 11th, 2007  ·  7 Comments

A mob of Palestinian Arab youth violently attacked a tour bus carrying Canadian pilgrims at the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem on Saturday.

The attack, which was perpetrated with stones and glass bottles, came amid Muslim riots related to very minor Israeli renovation work on an earthen ramp leading to the Temple Mount.

And the Palestinians wonder why towns such as Bethlehem and Ramallah receive no tourists.

It’s not because of Israeli roadblocks. It’s because the violent nature of the “Palestinians” - instilled in them by their elders from a very young age, sadly - makes those places extremely unsafe for visitors.

Just think about it this way - the entire region (Israel, Judea, Samaria, etc) has for the past decade been embroiled in a pretty violent situation. And yet, foreigner tourists continue flocking to Israel. The Palestinian Authority-controlled territories, however, they avoid like the plague.

That is because one population is prone to wild outbursts of violence, while the other is only trying to live in peace and security, employing violence and force only as necessary for its own protection.

Regardless of what the newspapers print, visitors to the Holy Land are perfectly aware of who is the aggressor, and they are showing it with their feet.

I guess they will blame that one on the Jews too! When you act like a bunch of murdering heathen people take notice and stay away .

Oh, they are already blaming Israel for it. According to the Arabs, their tourism is suffering because Israel just arbitrarily decided to erect military checkpoints between sovereign Israel and the towns under their control.

Sadly, the world, and especially the media, buy right into the lie, never bothering to ask WHY Israel felt it had to erect the checkpoints.

I believe that the most of the world hates the Jews for hates sake . Most may say because the Jew’s had Jesus crucified is the reason . If these people really loved Jesus they could not hold the Jew’s responsible . God sent his Son for an offering for our sin . But , to the blind hate is easy . To he that lacks wisdom from the Lord , the Jew’s are guilty . To the Palestinians the Jew’s are a scapegoat . They lived in abject poverty before and will always. To admit that they are failures at life is unacceptable . There must be a scapegoat . And guess who it will be ?

    Amen Charles,
I am guilty, for Yeshuas death, I crucified Him, I was there just the same as the Romans, the Jewish people, and all others, I drove the nails in, it was my sin! In fact because I have suffered much I am grateful much, but I have not suffered like those who went through the holocaust or those who are in Israel, or those millions in slavery in the world. However many gentiles still blame the Jewish people, it is pride and ignorance and the lie of the enemy/ satan. We have been taught this lie for centuries and we believe it and pass it down. People don’t seem to have desernment. They see the Bible through gentile eyes only not the eyes of the Jewish people who wrote it and thier Jewish Messiah. The Muslims are jealous and believe the lie of thier cultic religion and racism passed through centuries!!! Satan is the great deciever!!

Maybe if the Pals didn’t live in a modern style wild wild west they would not have such a lack of tourism. I don’t know but something about people in the same government shooting and killing each other makes me feel a little unsafe. Oh yeah and maybe the fact that Pals enjoy walking into crowded areas and blowing themselves up has something to do with it.

    Nerah,
Bless you for seeing that ‘Everyone of us Crucified Him. This is the nature of man and ’sin’. For that cause He came.
To rescue and redeem us from the ‘Spirit of lawlessness’ that murderer ‘Satan’.
Because He will redeem ‘ALL Israel’, satan wants to murder them.
You are right…satan is also working iniquity and murder unto all connected with this redemption. Fierce hatred.
I remember when Yeshua was in the crowds preaching and it says, they sought him “to throw Him off the Cliff” He was going to represent the scape goat if they would have had their way. But he slipped through the crowds and was gone.
It only stands to reason this human nature or (godless nature) would need a scapegoat. Satan identifies the Jewish people and Christians through the Godless world and wants to destroy them. We count it an honor and a privaledge to die for Yeshua.
Many cultures have used scapegoating as their blind way of redeeming villages from curses and evil spirits….etc. This is how all idolotry began. Appeasing the
Gods. And in America, in Appalachia it is only a short time ago ‘The scapegoat’ became some one person to be a sin eater.
Food was placed on the corpse of a person and during the night this scapegoat had to come and eat the food off (ususally, a poor and isolated victim of that backwards thinking community)
Fear of God turned to supersition of appeasing. Now, the true God has taught us a New and better way. But the world rejects, the once for all sacrifice of the son. The Jewish people have suffered much.
To suffer is to know compassion. Holy affliction is purifying. To ask of God ‘Why must we suffer in such ways’ is the part of the design. To seek earnestly for fulfillment is to find the PROMISE.
Judgment of this world is over. We live to see Pride cast down into the dust of death.
    Keep looking up…redemption draweth nigh.

P.S. Sorry that I did not keep my focus on the article Ryan put in, but inside I keep responding to the truth as I understand it.
I am going to email some columnists and ask them to respond to ‘WHY…the checkpoints. And I believe they will substantiate that reason very clearly (if they take it on)
