Israel’s leadership is making the predictable error of being dragged into a process of thinking it can deal with PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) and talk peace with him, while somehow bypassing the democratically-elected representatives of the Palestinian Arabs - the Hamas terrorist organization.
The Olmert government and its friends in Washington posit that by making concessions to Abbas, his star will rise among the “Palestinians” at the expense of Hamas’ vast popularity. Even a cursory glance at recent history would dispel that theory, however. Israel and the West made nearly every conceivable concession to Yasser Arafat and Abbas in the years prior to Hamas’ landslide electoral win. And that didn’t stop the “Palestinians” from voting for terror.
The lesson that must be learned here, and the lesson that Israel and the US are doing their best to ignore, is that when it comes to winning “Palestinian” votes (or votes anywhere in the Muslim world), nothing works like slaughtering Jews. The mantle of international statesmanship placed on the shoulders of Arafat and Abbas meant far less to the average Palestinian Arab than did Hamas’ Jewish body count.
But having entered the realm of politics, Hamas appears to be learning to play the game, further decreasing the chances that either Israel or the US will see the “Palestinian cause” for its true intentions.
On Sunday, Hamas Foreign Minister Mahmoud al-Zahar suggested that his government would back an international peace conference based on an Arab peace proposal that demands Israel surrender every inch of land liberated in 1967.
Western governments and the international media are expected to faint from excitement, while ignoring statements made by Zahar just hours earlier to the effect that while Hamas would be willing to respond to calls for peace by offering Israel a long-term truce, it would absolutely under no circumstances ever recognize the Jewish state’s right to exist.
So, in return for bowing to all current Arab demands, Israel will receive a few years of relative quiet followed by a storm of violence launched from commanding positions that Israel itself provided for Hamas and its allies. Sounds like a real winner.
Despite the obvious absurdity of this scenario, Zahar and Hamas know that the US-led international community is hungry for progress on the Israeli-Palestinian front - what with all the troubles in Iraq, Iran and Lebanon - and they are playing directly to this desire.
Just like with Arafat, the world, including America, can be soon expected to start ignoring the violent diatribes of Hamas leaders, while focusing only on those statements that give even the faintest hope for the signing of a scrap of paper labeled “peace.”

Olmert needs to be replaced before he gives away all the
land, puts 100,000 plus Jew into a homeless state with
out any financial help from the Government, and opens the
door for anihilation. Is anyone thinking at all in the government?
Are they all wearing masks over thieir eyes. Where are the
Jewish people? Is there nothing they can do to stop the
madness Areil Sharon started??? Do they not care???
Will they not stand up and be counted????

First, with all of the world events alligning with God’s prohpecies, I am truly beginning to experience “…the peace that passes all understanding.” We’ve read the end of the Book, so we know who wins. This election is exactly what God Almighty dictated to further set up future events.
Are you folks aware of the European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument that draws in the 17 new countries to the European Union? The first budget cycle begins on 1 January 2007 and runs to 31 December 2013. That’s exactly seven (7) years!! Sound a little like Daniel 9:27? And notice two things about Daniel’s prophecy. He didn’t name Israel and he didn’t say it would be a peace agreement. When those seventeen (17) new countries are part of the EU, the New Roman Empire will occupy almost exactly the borders of the Old Roman Empire.
Here’s an interesting thought. Since the Old Roman Empire destroyed the Jewish Temple in 70 AD, consider how perfect it would be if the New Roman Empire facilitated the re-building of that Temple now.
Your comments?

I don’t follow you at all.
4 Kelli // Nov 14, 2006 at 12:15 am
Commander Johnson, I follow you. Interesting, since my husband has come to a similar conclusion.
Not all America will fall for this “peace” process…I’m not falling for it, my congregation isn’t falling for it, and all in this world who know G-d’s truth won’t fall for it. Man cannot make lasting peace because within a generation or so, all will be forgotten, just like it was with the pharoah in Egypt who did not know Joseph and who enslaved the Jewish people. We won’t ignore the threat of terrorists.
This isn’t a time to sit on our collective behinds and turn a “blind” eye to the ever-growing threat in Israel, America, and other nations of the world. This whole two-state “solution” will only lead to bloodshed…look what happened when Gaza was given up! The “Palestenians” will not rest until they see Israel disappear, and I have a feeling that will never happen. The more that is given to them, the more they will demand.
Peace my foot!

Do you really think that this will last a generation, or so?
Commander Johnson, has it right.

Like Commander Johnson I have come to a similar conclusion. I have been following the establishment of the Near East Neibourhood Agreements and the neo-Roman EU body forming . I was first introduced to the possibility and significance by Herb Peters of www.Fulfilledprophecy.com who wrote a book related to Javier Solano High Representitive of the EU. His book is ‘Recommendation 666′
has some very interesting information which brings us to a significant date of 1st January 2007. This is the date on which significant budgetary agreements begin with 7 year terms. It is necessary to watch and pray as the lord told us to do. He is in control and watches over Israel as in Psalm 121.
Shalom

Hello.. I heared that Jewish population is transfering to USA. and they are giving their country to the original land owners… is it true??
8 kelly // Nov 14, 2006 at 3:32 pm
That is greate. Than all the problems will be cleared. Nobody will go on war and there will be no more terror attacks. Thanks to olmert to perform this idea. so when are they transfering to USA?

Giving away land, thereby into international pressure is tantamount to leading a Yitzchak generation toward Shechem by the earlobe. G-d show rachamim, surely! As Yisrael lowers the knife, the question remains: when will YHWH Elohiym remind her of the Abrahamic-covenant and command her to swing the knife away from her seed and defend herself against the onslaught of wolves, instigating Yisrael to cut off her future inheritance…?
Nazarim, watch closely::::
Yisrael’s seemingly innocuous pullout from the settlements is analogous to a double-edged knife placed in the hands of Yeshua ben Yitzchak Himself: pullback, in self-defense, then fire the sharp trigger. This strategy is Yisrael’s unfinished policy, cloaked in retreat. The land of Yisrael proper is plainly stated in the Tenakh, and more. Pullback, then reacquire, while the Axis lizards lounge on Yisraeli land - like sitting ducks waiting to be culled.

I find it par for the course that so many miss the forrest for the tree and ignore that it is our very own president who divides Israel and with dark arrogance continues to shove his failed Palestinian state plan down Israel’s throat. Javier is just a distraction from the superpower leader who has cursed himself and America with his Road Map curse against Israel. By peace he has already destroyed many
and Isaiah 28 records the outcome of Israel’;s covenant with death, the Road Map WHICH IS A CURSE ON ISRAEL bringing only death and destruction and no peace.
The president is a false peacemaker and the decieved church in America refuse to awaken from their delusion.
I will bless those who bless you and ……..
God always sends warnings and sign’s to His people ,He even sent it to Ninevah.
Israel has evidence of 100% failure from Oslo to Road Map and yet continues down this cursed path.
Everything this president has touched is cursed ,just look at Iraq and Gaza and wonder why Israel continues down the path with this covenant with death and hell.
Today Israel’s chief intellegence head Diskin warned that Gaza and israel were headed for a major confrontation due to the tonnage of weapons and explosives smuggled in since P.M.Sahron & Olmert rewarded Islamic terrorism by obediently following the Bush Raod Map of ethnic cleansing of all Jews from there.
Not content with a victory ,a defeat of the Palestinian threat, the elite of Israel’s suicidal Masada class decided to embark upon a phony peace scheme wherein the Islamic terrorists were rewarded.
Today the elite look at the success of their Road Map master in Iraq and prepare for same success in Gaza and Israel.
Stupidity does have it’s rewards.

Marcel,
I totally agree the ROAD MAP TO DISTRUCTION (stay the course ) is an idiots plan. Israel is so small that it needs more land to mount a good defence from. There will never be peace until the false peace brought by the Antichrist.
Take land don’t give it up. God gave them that whole area.

There is so much that can be said, but when all the “chips are down” it all comes back to prayer with fasting….yes, with these comes the fiery darts, but the two combined can do more to break down the walls that are being built to destroy Israel and its Chosen People and those who live in Israel and love her and her special ones, than anything else.
“When we have done all that we can do, God’s Word tells us to Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.”
God Bless you all for your love and prayers for Israel and her special people. As we all together continue to hold her up, our prayers are heard in Heaven, and we move the heart of a loving God. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus…..

If I were Israel, I would take back Gaza (drop leaflets letting people know massive bombing will commence in 1 week), kick out all “Palestinians” in all the Arab occupied territories (do this in stages - just like they did with the Jewish settlements), then settle everyone (Arabs) somewhere in the Negev. Take over the rest of Israel previously occupied by Arabs and settle these towns with Jews. Reclaim the temple mount, in fact, and inform the international community that there would never more be any giving away of Jewish land.

The reality that ALL,ALL,ALL the nations align against Israel.
Christian’s and Jews ignore for too long that the Pslam 83 Confederacy is headed by the only superpower behind Satan’s Road Map.
It is madness for Jews,Christian’s to run to the devil who divides Israel for help and ignore the Holy One of Israel.
It’s an abomination.
Israel’s dependance on the U.S. has become a snare, a yoke which only brings death and destruction and no peace.
It is a cursed relationship which God Himself will end.
It is past time for those who say they believe in God to stop trusting in liars and decievers and seek the Lord while he may be found.
Israel will suffergreatly for their religious adnerence to a man and his FAILED false peace agenda and ignoring their God’s will.

Israel has been forced to keep land won during the unprovoked wars in order to act as a buffer zone . Now with the reach of the newer rockets it may be necessary to create a much larger buffer zone . To the victor goes the spoils. Otherwise there is no lasting penalty for attacking someone .

Callie,
Are you A Muslim or a Jehovah’s Wittness >The world wonders.
22 Joyce // Nov 22, 2006 at 9:14 pm
Callie,
I see you responded to the posts on the other two blog topics, why didn’t you respond to Charles’ post on this blog about if you’re a Muslim? Although I really don’t think you need to, your response to the other posts pretty much says it all. It certainly would explain all your hatred, and bitterness towards the Jews. And why you are always so concerned about the Arabs and not about the Jews. I can understand, and share your concern about children dying. But it seems your concern doesn’t include Jewish children, why is that? Your feelings of hatred towards the Jews seem so contrary to how a Christian should feel. After all Jesus is of Jewish descent, so how do you think he feels about your feelings toward the Jews, God’s chosen people. And whether you want to believe it or not, doesn’t change the fact that he is, and they are. If you read your Bible you should know this.

Abu Mazen should be killed by Mossad or Shin Bet. He is a killer and one of the masterminds of the Munich masscare so let’s give him his. Then finish the Hamas government. Done.

Hmmm, sometimes I wonder if those blogs don’t come when Ryan is trying to tell us something..?
Marcel,
Although I do believe the U.S. needs to change their ways and support Israel 100%, I believe Israel and America are echad (a united one) and without Supporting Israel yes America will not be blessed, we all know that. Israel does need to look to God and not man as do all of us and all governments, that is what is wrong with society, people and government in general today! Have you all read Stan’s Dec.13th Treachery Most Terrible, Jeruselum Watchman.

Its not about the oil,not about terrorism. the spirit of anti-christ is right now attacking christians and jews and killing our children. american christians wake up. the great tribulation is around the corner
