Most parents know that when a child gets overly defensive, he is usually guilty of the wrongdoing he is being accused of. The same is certainly true with adults, as well as whole people groups.
Take for instance the Muslim world’s wild overreaction first to the publication of a political cartoon featuring the Prophet Mohammed, then to Pope Benedict XVI’s attempt to emphasize the incompatibility of violence and faith in a university lecture during which he quoted a Byzantine emperor who denounced Mohammed’s calls for jihad.
(Of particular note are the “Palestinians,” who have apparently grown so used to their violent ways being excused that they are openly attacking Christian churches in response to the pope’s remarks.)
If Islam really is tolerant and advocates peace, then why do its practitioners react in such ways over what are in reality very minor provocations? The media and Muslim clerics in this part of the world make a regular habit of denouncing and bad mouthing Jews and Christians, but the result is never widespread Jewish or Christian violence against Muslims.
If you want people to believe that you are tolerant and non-violent, then it is best to not respond to accusations of violence with violence. To do so incidcates that you are in fact guilty.

Why does the western world have its blinders on (in the age of the internet and vast sources of information and opinion)?
Is it human nature (at least western humans) to despise what you know and hold the unkown in higher esteem?
In all the years since 9/11, why has there been no historical review of how Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Turkey became muslim countries? Why are there so many muslims in India and how did they get to Bosnia and Spain?
It was’nt conversion by the “grace” of Allah. It was by the slaughter of 100 million Buddhist, Hindus, Christians, and Jews - beginning in Muhammad’s own lifetime.
The Crusades were a brief response to hundreds of years of agression. Yet it is as though this is the only time muslims raised their swords.
If the Pope’s words don’t inspire the media and the west to consider the history of Islam (rose colored PC glasses off) - perhaps a little more of the inevitable bloodshed may.

The Koran states just what was said by the Pope only a lot worse. Mohamed stated that raping ,killing was required of his followers. He kept making rule changes for himself when it was convenient.

You said it a bit different than I would have, but it is accurate. What can one expect out of a “religion” controlled by demons? As Pastor Hagee said, this battle began at the Birth of Isaac. Ishmael was cast out and the last we really hear of Isaac and Ishmael doing anything as half brothers is at the burial of Abraham.
Fox news is always asking what we would do if I was President. One of the things would be to warn the Muslims in America that their demonic mosques are going to be torn down one by one. It is best if you pack your bags and head back toward the middleeast to get along the best way you can. We also get lest polite to the Countries that major on Islam. We find out where this radicals are generally located and drop a neutron bomb on their location. Bury them in their caves. We then start a massive evangelistic campaign there for the deceived ones to read and hear the truth of Islam.

Consider the level of detail in studies of anchient empires, and the full revelations of their brutality. The Roman empire, the Nazis, the Monguls, the Huns, the Soviets, Red China, the US with african slaves and native tribes. Empires throughout time have been explored in documentaries, dramatizations, studies of battles and the death tolls.
Yet about Islam we know nothing, as if the massacre of millions never happened. Why is it so taboo to discuss the realities of Islamic conquest?

Islam is the only religion or philosophy or political system that will attack all those who are critical of it or have negative things to say about it. They have instituted a method of violent intimidation to keep the media and world leaders silent about what they really believe about these maniacs. It is time for the truth to be revealed and told, otherwise they will sneak up on the West and destroy it from within. We can no longer sit back and be polite, hoping that it will all simply go away. No fan of the Catholic Church, but the Pope lost a really big opportunity to stand up to Muslims everywhere, and he lost heart and FAITH. The whole story is in the Bible. The Bible was and still is the finished word of GOD. No other oration is needed. It is a complete works.
God said in the Bible that his covenant was with Isaac not Ishmael. Isaac’s seed would inherit the Kingdom of Heaven And Ishmael seed would inherit the riches of the earth that by the way will draw the whole world into the fray. He also said that Ishmael’s seed would rule like wild men hostile to his brothers. GOD said it was going to be like this. Has any other utterance other than the Bible been so accurate in prophesy that is as old as recorded time itself ? I am being truly amazed by the way that GOD is bringing together the close of events. I can’t wait to see His next step, But I am looking forward to JESUS…….

Your analogy of Islam to a child is quite apropriate.
You can allow a child a good deal of latitude but if bad behaviour gets out of hand, further tolerance is not good for the child and too wearing on the rest of the family.
Currently Islam is really enjoying its tantrums like a spoiled
child lying on its back, kicking and screaming to gets its own way and succeeding because its parents are conditioned to give in instead of ignoring the child or delivering a good hard thump on the rump.
Muslims are enjoying seeing us jump to sooth them down
They are not being stopped so they are enjoying the freedom
to expand their reign of terror.
We Infidels are living under a cloud of terror. We are afraid to

By telling us not to retaliate, Jesus keeps us from taknig the law into our own hands. By loving and praying for our enemies, we can overcome evil with good. Although it is impossible to change another person, we can change how we respond and react to people and situations. Why should we wish to intrude upon His office? To do otherwise, would we be charged as enemies of Christ?
Fanatics are filled with hate that is deeply embedded and cannot be neither deterred or bought off. Hate and humiliation are key forces that cannot be traded by other such concessions that might have worked in other times and places. The terrorists have shown the world they will inflict maximum pain and psychic anguish on their victims before killing them.
Terrorists are those who do not want their people to think. Instead, they lead them to do only as they are told. Such people use fear, emotions, arrogrance, and pride. They appear in many forums, but their goal is always the same - to control. And people will follow like cattle to the slaughter. They do not stop. They do not think. They only follow blindly.
Think about the facts at hand. Think about the past. Think about the consequences. Think about the very nature of their intentions…to terrorize!
The purpose of learning from our past mistakes is to move us to THNIK! Jesus is our Teacher. He did not come to force us to act or believe a certain way. He came to teach us a better way, so that by listening and learning and in thinking, we may better understand and know that He is God and He loves us. He wants us to THINK about what we say and do.
It is our future investment. Restore -not- Destroy. Transform
-not- Reform.
When we have peace in our hearts we are as bold as a lion. But when we have worries we are cast off, full of fear and we become weak. God says, “I will put My peace into you and you will be more than a conquer” (Job 25:2). Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace! ‘We can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives us strength’ (Philippians 4:13).
God will not settle for mere acknowledgement of His presence. He wants a personal, dynamic relationship with you that will transform your life. Those who seek God will find that they are rewarded with His intimate presence (Hebrews 11:6).
Jesus, forgive my sins. Be my Lord and Saviour. By faith I pray. Amen.

I have found absolutely no continuity in what I have seen of the Koran. The Koran is a text that seemed to serve Muhammad in his within his immediate life situations , He changed his edicts to accommodate his desires for women.
The very thing that the pope said is in their Koran telling them how to slay the Infidel . Today the (idiots) said if you don’t convert you will die of the sword. Daah! What kind of insane people are we dealing with. Can we deal with them?

Muslims are defensive because they are guilty. Think about people at work, in your life or you have known. People are defensive when they have something to hide or are guilty of something. Same case here. They are guilty for waging a war against Jews, against Christians, and against civilization…as far as I am concerned its a religon of hate.

I to have read parts of the koran and it is full of murder, torture, rape and forcefull conversions. Why cant muslims open thier eyes and realise thier book is evil. Eveywhere they go they cause conflict and terror. Look at the state the U.K. is in now it has become an intimidating place for non- muslims especially Indian Sikhs and Hindus.
