Contrary to its nature, Amnesty International has released a report accusing a Muslim entity of committing war crimes against the Jewish state.
The “human rights” group rightly says that Hizb’allah’s rocket barrages against northern Israel this summer, which purposely targeted civilian population centers, were in violation of international law. The organization also rightly rejected Hizb’allah’s counter-claim that the rocket attacks were merely reprisals for Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
It will be interesting to see if Amnesty and those affiliated with and influenced by it now seek to prosecute Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah and other Hizb’allah officials in the same way they do alleged Israeli war criminals.
I wonder also if Amnesty will read enough of the Geneva Conventions to realize that, while regrettable, the deaths of so many Lebanese at the hands of Israeli forces does not constitute a violation of international law since Hizb’allah was using the civilian population as a shield (Convention IV, Art. 28).
A nation has a right to defend itself against deadly aggression, even if its attacker is hiding behind innocents, and Geneva recognizes that right.
But maybe I am getting ahead of myself. We cannot expect too much balance from Amnesty all at once.

The United Nations is clearly against the United States and Bush. They are against Israel and I think always were. They tried to keep the newly formed State of Israel from having the ability to defend itself. When Israel is about to be over run ,nothing, but you let Israel start kicking the heck out of the Arabs its time for a ceasefire .

Those 3rd world bozos at the UN made Israel a wimpy state with weak borders. They wanted the Arabs to attack and destroy the Jews once and for all so they wouldn’t have to deal with the “probelm” anymore. Even the Arab nations promised their fighters they could live in “Palestine” once the Jews were wiped out. Sounds to me like a plan. Well the UN didnt get what they want, in fact Israel is here to stay and they can’t stand it. The world should quit treating Israel like a baby. Let them destroy Lebanon if they want to. Who is to tell the USA to stop doing things in Iraq. Who tells Russia to stop killing muslims, and who tells China to quit killing Buddists? Nobody. So why should the UN and other nations tell Israel what to do? What a bunch of bs. As for the UN I say get out of the USA we don’t need ya anymore. Its time the USA and Israel for that matter started a new organization. A organization of democratic states, that are truly democratic. Lets see how much those 3rd world bozos miss us after a few years of having the UN HQ in Chavez’s country, or maybe Tehran for that matter. G-d help us all.

Just who would Chavez sell his oil to if the United States goes down. China would loose it’s primary market and would be sent back to the poverty level it came from. Iran would be competing for the business of the rest of the world unaffected by our fall . The world would be in a severe depression that could cause global conflicts for survival with out a recovery in sight. Sounds like the stage is set for the Antichrist to come up with all the answers. And the fact is the unbelievers can’t see things falling into place like clockwork. Truly Amazed ————

That is so funny Charles. People don’t talk about those effects on the world economy if the USA did fall. Media don’t, governments don’t. By the way does anybody know of a good program or website to learn basic Hebrew?

The fall of America fits into the scheme of things as it will cause the worldwide collapse of economies . The advent of the Antichrist will begin at that time to restart the economies to a usable system. The oil glut will drive oil down to extremely low prices. Chavez and Scraggly Beard will not be friends then. China will not be able to collect on those bonds they hold or the trade deficit. they will be the big losers. Most oil wells would be capped permanently and the Mideast would fall into obscurity. The group that caused America to fall would be hated by all because of the results.
Chavez would not seem so funny then.
Countries that are getting rich off us would revert to poverty.
