Annan comes with too little, too late

September 5th, 2006  ·  11 Comments

It is unacceptable that UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan is now willing to use his “good offices” to help secure the release of two abducted Israeli soldiers, considering that they are only in captivity because Annan’s impotent UN forces failed to do their job by keeping the peace along Israel’s northern border.

UN forces have been on the ground in southern Lebanon for nearly 30 years. They were supposed to prevent acts of aggression like Hizb’allah’s July 12 assault and kidnapping, and the resulting devastation suffered by both Israel and Lebanon. But they have failed to do their job for a very long time now.

So Annan will forgive Israel and those of us who support her if his offer of assistance (if a negotiating a prisoner exchange with terrorists can be called “assistance) is viewed with contempt.

Tellingly, Lebanon last month complained that UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the fighting and mandated the removal of Hizb’allah as a fighting force, was also too little, too late. And they were absolutely right, though not in the way they meant it (Beirut had wanted the UN to force Israel to stop defending itself much earlier).

As stated above, the UN was supposed to prevent such conflicts from ever arising.

Come to think of it, can anyone recall even one conflict that the UN has managed to contain and resolve by deploying its silly blue-helmeted peacekeepers? Why in the world does any nation, let alone Israel, allow itself to believe UN intervention is the answer to its problems, the antedote to conflict?

Hi all. I think you guys are blind. Hizbollah played a very good game wid israel. This is true that israel has lost last fight against Hizbullah and Now Hizbullah became hero In labnon. Its not possible to disarm any terrorist group by fighting. Terrorism is a think that cant be killed by bombs or rockets. The history is witness….
1-: NATO attacked Afganistan after 11 sept. WTC attack and they were believing that they won war but now what happening??-: everagely 1 soldier perday is being killed by terrorist.
2-: NATO attacked IRAQ and they think they won the war but… They are losing many soldiers day by day
3-:Israel attacked labnon to disarm Hizbullah….(I think israel killed only civilians instead of HIZBULLAH ARMY and lost the battle and also the future battle) coz by killing civilians they add more soldiers in hizbullah army and also they waked up the faith for hizbullah in the mind of labnon youth.
4-: It is clear that USA and UK will have to face the ecnomy breakdown in future coz all the economy is now turned to CHINA, JAPAN, RUSSIA, INDIA, coz they are making the same products at the 1/10 prise compared to other western countries. Also the middle east now attracted to these countries coz they are aware from the western thinks. ITs clear that china will ovetake the USA in economy within next 15 years. IT means that USA’s ratiio of exporting products will become lawer. The southern asian countries now THINKING to take the DIRECT CRUID OIL PIPLINE from middle east as they requier oil most to develop thier economy. This will also make effect to USA and Israel (indirectly)
5-: The tow big giants russia and china are now supporting Middle east to take the OIL. They are now ready to support in every matter even military too.
6-: you can see the example (hizbullah) the support of these two countries.
7-: I dont know but you can see that now ALL ARABS COUNTRIES ARE MORE concern in MILITARY than before. All arab countries now purchasing moders weapons from USA, UK, China, Russia.

    Please write your reply….

    Jewish Hatred Against Jesus Christ

Was there an organized Jewish conspiracy against the life and ministry of our Savior - the Lord Jesus Christ?

Let the Scriptures speak for themselves!

“. . . of the Jews: Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sin alway: For the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.”

    I Thessalonians 2:14-16

In the earthly life and ministry of our Lord, He encountered much opposition as He traveled throughout the ancient land of Palestine in doing the work that His Father sent Him to do. During the first century the land of Palestine where Jesus lived and ministered was divided into three Roman provinces. They were Galilee to the north where Jesus lived as a child and began His ministry; Samaria located in central Palestine where He ministered to the woman at the well in John chapter 4; and Judea to the south where He encountered most of His opposition from the leadership of the Jewish nation and was eventually illegally tried, falsely convicted and crucified as a result of the scheming efforts of the Jews and their manipulation of the Roman civil authorities.

In the Gospel of John the Apostle records the masterful discourse of Jesus that He gave concerning His equality with God and His manifestation as being the living bread sent down from heaven (chapters 5-6). After giving this discourse and seeing the open anger of the Jews in response to His message, He left Judea where Jewish Phariseeism was in total control, and returned to Galilee which offered Him more personal safety. John records:

“After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: For He would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill Him.”

    (7:1, 11:53-54)

The Jewish leadership, which included Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, Chief Priests and the Sanhedrin heckled and taunted the Lord Jesus as He conducted His teaching and healing ministry among the people. Their purpose was to catch Him in heresy and blasphemy and eventually use it as evidence against Him at His trial (Luke 20:19-26).

“… of the Jews: Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sin alway: For the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.”

The U.N. is useless…in fact, I want their headquarters OFF American soil…And Annan is so AntiSemitic that he stinks…Out with all of them!

  • 4 Nathan // Sep 6, 2006 at 12:57 am

Get their headquarters where it should be - Tehran or Paris, take your pick. Kofi Annan will forever be remembered as one of the worst people in history. To little to late is Annans personal UN garuntee. Thank G-d we live in the United States where we don’t need their crap. And I am tired of people treating Israel like a little kid! They are there own nation, they have their own rules and such. Meanwhile Tehran gets Lebanon destroyed and Annan thanks them by paying Satan a visit. What a joke world! Thats when my faith in G-d comes in.

Christian hatred towards God’s people the Jews

To “True Christian” (#2) , if thats what you really are. May the God of Israel and His Son, Yeshua, have mercy on your anti-semitic comments. Yeshua (Jesus) was, is and always will be a Jew, is coming back to rule the entire world from Jerusalem, very soon, using the real Torah (Law of God). He never came to start a new religion, that was man’s doing, and look what a mess the world in is today because of that. He and his disciples as well as Paul were all devout Jews. The Church has tried through the ages to wipe out God’s chosen people the Jews, and even today through mindless politicians and world leaders like Annan, they are still trying, but God , Yeshua will prevail and judge this harlot of a church and the world. True peace will only come once Yeshua rules the world with the law of God (Torah). God says in his word, I will bless those that bless thee and curse those that curse thee. I pray peace and mercy for you.

4 Who is G-d ? N-th-n if you are going to proclaim GOD then make proud and glorify his name . Be bold .

  • 9 Nathan // Sep 7, 2006 at 3:19 am

Valerie makes a very good statement. I to believe that Annan is a closet Muslim. I also think he has been in the pocket of Irans “president” far longer than the world has thought. Together they are the Gog and Mog in my book…thrown in with alittle bit of Republic of China. G-d help us all.

  • 10 Charles Wesley // Sep 9, 2006 at 12:16 am

    To True Christian
I put JESUS to death! He died for my sins. Me and every one that ask for forgiveness of our sins. The Jews were blinded that we might receive salvation. To believe otherwise is to say GOD didn’t have a clue about what he was doing. Had they coveted JESUS they would have kept him to their selves. The Jewish people by nature are clannish people and shuns other cultures. The fact that the Sanheidren had Christ crucified helped you to hear about Our LORD and Saviour. This is the cross the Jewish people have had to bear for 2000 years. They are still GOD’s people , surely you do not oppose GOD?

Restoration of the Body of Christ

The most important prayer request for all Christians must
now be the restoration of God’s temple, the Body of Christ.
Nothing on the earth is more important than that
God’s temple becomes built up according to the pattern
of God’s word, so that we all are ready when Jesus comes.
God’s temple is the Assembly of God.

The Pentecostalists have during soon 100 years preached
a wrong doctrine about the Assembly of God. A Pentecostal
church is no Assembly of God.

In the reality, the word “church” occurs not at all in the Bible.
The biblical name of the Church is the great whore, and
    Babylon the great.
    http://www.algonet.se/~allan-sv/PREPARE.HTM#KJV

When God was so strictly with that the tabernacle
(Exodus 25:9) and the temple of the old covenant became
built according to the pattern, so that the workers must get
special education through God’s Spirit (Exodus 35:30-35,
36:1-2), then he must be still more strictly with the real
temple, the Assembly of God. All that the Bible teaches
about Assembly of God constitutes the pattern for the
    Assembly of God.

Rev.18:4 is an extremely powerful revival message
from the Lord. He commands his people to leave the
great Babylon. This must take place before Jesus comes.
After Jesus has come, then God’s people are home at
the Lord, and there is no Babylon.

We must leave all churches and denominations
before Jesus comes. And those that not want to obey
his word, God comes to count as accessory in the
sins of the great harlot and they get their part of her
plagues. None can say. This does not concern me.

To restore a really Christian unit and fellowship,
all churches and denominations must be exposed.
We must humble us before God’s word and study
what the Bible teaches about the Assembly of God.

Many Christian confessors become irritated of this
and comprehend it as criticism and condemnation
of their churches. Some become angry and say: let
the one who has no sin cast the first stone! But this
has nothing to do with stone-throwing. This is the
Lord’s revival message to his people. The Lord
commands his people to come out from the great
Babylon. Rev. 18:4. This has always been readable
in the Bible. Why has this message not been preached?

As in the days of Lot, it is now. Lot was not interested
to leave Sodom. God sent two angels to rescue him,
and they must persuade him to leave Sodom. When
he yet lingered, they took him at his hand and led him
out of the city. One of the angels said to him: “Flee
for your life sake and do not see you backwards …”
    Genesis 19:15-17.

Just like as Lot, God’s people today is no
