More war failures

August 25th, 2006  ·  24 Comments

Israel’s failures in its month-long war with Hizb’allah continue to mount. As the fighting came to a sudden halt under a UN-imposed ceasefire, it was clear that Hizb’allah had not suffered a crushing blow, was still capable of firing missiles into Israel, and would not release two abducted IDF soldiers.

But, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert declared, at least Israel had created the conditions for forcing the removal of Hizb’allah as a fighting force from southern Lebanon and its eventual disarmament by the Lebanese army and UN peacekeepers.

Unsurprisingly, Israel has now admitted that those achievements were nothing but smoke and mirrors. According to The Jerusalem Post, Israel’s current leadership has resigned itself to the fact that Hizb’allah can’t and won’t be disarmed by Beirut or the UN, and that its deep roots in southern Lebanon make its removal from the area impossible.

Israel’s new focus: making sure an arms embargo on Hizb’allah is fully implemented so that the group cannot replenish its arsenal of long-range offensive weapons.

As it becomes increasingly clear that Lebanon and the UN are not going to use armed force to prevent Syrian shipments to Hizb’allah, it is only a matter of time before that achievement, too, falls by the wayside.

(Actually we are ALL and all the UNIVERCE is GOD’S property) The people came on earth to to perfrom their role which is already written in before somany time. We are hating each other as HINDU, MUSLIMS, JEWISH, CHRISTIAN because of our selfishness. ITS common that we dont want to accept athor religions and also we take our personal problems and make it as a religious problems.
The creator of every religions is GOD not human. And you cant force anybody to do perticular religion. Oue work is to send a message of true path to all people not forcing tham to do that.
GOD is almighty and BIGGEST Power weather you take it as MUSLIMS, JEWISH or CHRISTIAN god it wont make any different to GOD. GOD have no family, children or any compatitor or any needs. GOD is GOD and its better to believe it as GOD not yours or mind coz again is not personal property but WE are GOD’S property……….

    dod,

I agree with many things you say. There is one Power running all the universe. He is running all the subordinate powers of both good and evil. All religions are ultimately out of Him as well as the present selfishness of humanity. However when He is finished using the selfishness, the religions, the corruption, and the death, He will save all mankind and reconcile them to Himself through His Son Jesus Christ, Who died for the sins of the world and was raised out from among the dead. As in Adam, all are dying, thus also in Christ shall all be vivified, given life and immortality with no more selfishness. Eventually God will be All in all.

That will take place at the conclusion of the eons which could be thousands of earth years away. Eons are obscure periods of time, and we are not told the exact length of each. The present wicked eon began when Noah stepped out of the boat. It will end when Messiah (Anointed) returns to Israel. This eon is called man’s day. The next eon, when Messiah (Anointed) is governing the earth through Israel is called the day of the Master. It will last at least 1000 years. At the end of that eon, the heavens and earth will be melted with fire and a new heavens and earth will be made. A new eon will commence, the day of the Placer. It could last 20,000 years, we are not told. Justice will live on that earth, and there will be no more death. The Placer will dwell with mankind and wipe all tears away. Israel will also be governing earth during that eon, but their priesthood function will cease, God Himself dwelling with all mankind. During that day, all in the heavens and on earth will be headed up in the Anointed. In the process of this heading up, death will be discarded, including the second death, the lake of fire. All who have died (some having died twice) will be saved from death, reconciled to the Placer, and given life and immortality. The Son, the Anointed, will also be subjected to His Placer and Father, and the Placer will be All in all.

I agree with you very much that the universe is not running itself. God (the Placer) is God (the Placer) and we are his property. You got that right! He is almighty and the biggest Power. I agree.

But, although His judgements and displayed indignation can be very severe, He is also very loving, kind, and merciful and has a very good plan for all His creatures, though they don’t yet realize it. Those of us who are believing His words, receive His Spirit that unveils Him for us.

I also agree with you very much that God created the beginning and has already written history. Every creature will perform his role, even though many think they are acting independently.

Now, in God’s reckoning, since Jesus died for the sake of all, consequently all died. The death due to all of us has already taken place. The resurrection of Christ out of death is proof that justification is for all. Those who believe God concerning this, begin to enjoy their justification now. Those who don’t believe will enjoy their salvation and justification later.

Meanwhile we continue the educational and constitutional process provided and operated by our Creator. He is GOD. Amen to that! “God” in Hebrew means Disposer, Subjector. He is El, the Subjector of Israel, and the Subjector also of all. He is the Subjector of the spirits of all flesh. “Yahweh” means “He Who is, Who was, and Who is coming”. Elohim are the Subjectors, animated by the spirit of El. “God” in Greek is Placer, the Placer of all that is. He is the Saviour of all mankind, and will be All in all.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, self-control. This is the fruit He produces. All creation will be freed from the slavery of corruption into the glorious freedom of the Placer’s children. It will happen in His time and His way.

Loads of mercy, grace, and peace to you.

Speaking of subordinate powers, there is a god, the god of this wicked eon, who blinds the apprehensions of the unbelieving so that the illumination of the good news of the glory of the Anointed, Who is the Image of the invisible Deity, doesn’t irradieate them. But this god is merely doing the job given to him by his God, and he will undergo a change of occupation in the future.

  • 6 Marsha Carol Watson // Aug 25, 2006 at 7:42 pm

Ryan, I have not voiced this before…I did not feel it was yet the time. But I feel that it is now. During the elections, when the populace of Israel elected Olmert over Netanyahu, I was deeply stirred in my spirit. In prayer I sought the Lord about the outcome of this election. Mama and I talked about it in depth. We felt then that the choice the majority made when they elected Olmert would show the Nation of Israel weak and this would encourage the enemies of Israel to act against Israel because they too recognized Israel’s poor choice in the election. Mama and I truly believe that had B. Netanyahu been elected, the war would not have started…the enemies of Israel would have known better than to try to push Israel into a corner with Netanyahu at the helm.

Realizing how human we all are and how we all make bad choices at times throughout our lives, we can certainly realize the human factor in all of us and that the populace of Israel is tired of enemies and just wants peace and to be left alone to live their lives. The good news is: GOD DOES GIVE SECOND CHANCES!!!! The devil sure doesn’t…He comes to rob, kill and to destroy.

Israel MUST stand united together NOW and remove Olmert and place Netanyahu into office. It is there only HOPE for protection and a measure of normal life and living. No one will indimidate Benjamin Netanyahu!!!!!! He was endowed by Almighty God with the “stuff” that Champions are made of!!! God equipped this man for this time in Bible History and the Nation of Israel. It is my most fervent prayer than the people of Israel will wake up and recognize this fact and will OVERWHELMINGLY select Netanyahu tp LEAD, PROTECT AND MAKE CHOICES ON ISRAEL’S BEHALF. I am no politician and I am no mega educated person; however, I do know the Lord and I know His voice. I put my faith and confidence in the One who is the Most High God. I am praying night and day for Israel and its people to make wise choices now more than ever!

    With love and prayers, marsha

  • 7 Charles Wesley // Aug 26, 2006 at 2:32 am

Yes GOD the Father is the only GOD.
Jesus prayed to him even though they are one in truth and will.
Satan is under GOD’s authority as indicated in the Bible.
It would foolish to believe that GOD has not directed all sides as to their part in the fulfillment of (his) will. GOD also sets up leaders and removes them from power when needed.
Surely we do not want to believe that Allah and GOD are one in the same but, God blessed both Issac and Ishmael. In keeping with his word HE blessed Ishmael with the (riches of the world) , and Issac with the (kingdom of heaven). The Bible proclaims Jesus as the (Son of GOD) and (Saviour) but,
the Koran does not. GOD’s blessings have not changed.
Sibling rivalries from the time of Abraham untill now!

  • 8 Jeff // Aug 26, 2006 at 6:35 am

Yes, Charles. Allah seems to be a different spirit than the God and Father of Christ Who authored the Hebrew and Greek scriptures. The Koran also seems to be authored by a different spirit.

So we come to the point. Will the True God please stand up. I think the world will know the truth soon enough. God locks up ALL together in stubbornness, that He may be merciful to ALL; Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists, Animists, Globalists, and Environmentalists included.

The truth that ALL is out of God is a tough one for a lot of people. All IS out of Him, but He also makes a difference between things that are. For example, righteousness and wickedness both find their ultimate source in Him, yet we are to pursue righteousness and abstain from anything that is wicked to the perception. And wickedness will be discarded when He is finished with it.

One interesting thing to notice is that God creates opposition to Him, in order to provide us a demonstration of some things He can do and what He is like. Pharoah in Moses’ time, the coming antichrist, the crucifiers of Christ, and Satan himself are all good examples.

So, Ehud Omert is in office now because God put him there. If He wants someone else there, He’ll get it done, maybe using people like Marsha and the voters in Israel.

  • 9 Jeff // Aug 26, 2006 at 10:24 am

for dod . . . I also agree with you that God doesn’t have children the way humans have babies who grow up to be another human. However those of us who receive His words and His spirit of sonship are very much like children to Him and He is like a Father to us; so much so that He actually calls us children and we call Him “Dad”. And He asks us to become imitators of Him, as beloved children, and be walking in love, according as Christ also loves us, and gives Himself up for us as a sacrifice to God.

  • 10 Jeff // Aug 26, 2006 at 3:23 pm

I think continual dissatisfaction with human government will pave the way for a false messiah who will conquer the world with “solutions” for all the problems. After his reign the people of the world (who are left alive) will be quite ready for the true Messiah out of heaven.

  • 11 Charles Wesley // Aug 26, 2006 at 10:49 pm

    This is a truth Jeff.

  • 12 Charles Wesley // Aug 26, 2006 at 11:12 pm

Jeff you may already know about the sites (Dajjal) and (Gog and Magog) . Those sites show the energy behind the new bold aggression coming from the radicals. I find it obvious that this enmity between brothers originated from the time of Abraham and from the Rock of Abraham until now and the Islamic mosque preventing the Jews from building their temple and starting the Daily Sacrifice as God’s plan. And at the time appointed the mosque will fall. There is only one God and his covenant is with the Jews.

  • 13 Jeff // Aug 27, 2006 at 3:53 am

Charles, I wasn’t aware of “Dajjal”. I just did a search on it and learned some new things. There were quite a few sites about the Dajjal. Also there are quite a few about Gog and Magog. Are there some sites in particular you had in mind? I read a little of the Quran. It could just be me, but its words smell like death, not like the spirit and life we enjoy in Christ.

I agree with you about the enmity there. It surely has been there since Abraham. I have wondered if it may even go back further to the garden of Eden.

As far as my knowledge of prophecy goes, I also believe the Jews will build their temple and start sacrificing animals again. Yes, whatever it takes to fulfill the scriptures will happen.

Yes, God’s covenant was established with Isaac. He was the son of the promise, not Ishmael.

Israel broke God’s covenant made at Sinai, but the covenant God made with Abraham depended entirely on God. God just up and told him some things that were going to happen. There weren’t any “if you do or don’t do this or that’s” there. And Abraham proceeded to believe and obey because God caused him to. Likewise, God will fullfill all the promises to the patriarchs and also the many prophecies made to Israel by the Hebrew prophets.

“This is the covenant I shall be covenanting with the house of Israel after those days, the Lord is saying:
Imparting My laws into their comprehension,
On their hearts, also, shall I be inscribing them,
And I shall be to them for God,
And they shall be to Me for people.
And be no means will each be teaching his fellow citizen,
And each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord!’
For all shall be acquainted with Me,
From their little to their great,
For I shall be propitious to their injustices,
And of their sins and their lawlessnesses will I under no circumstances still be reminded.”

Christ has become the Servant of the Circumcision, for the sake of the truth of God, to confirm the patriarchal promises. Yet the nations are to glorify God for His mercy.

He Who is rising to be Chief of the nations:
On Him will the nations rely.

And we do rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers.

It is a shame that Israel after all of its very dangerous and very effective military encounters has resorted to being afraid of attack Hizbullah. The failure was not in Israel itself, or its military but in the people of the civilian government who know nothing of war. The harsh reality is that Hizbullah is going to attempt this type of warfare again, again, and again. What has Israel accomplished by listening to the United Nations? Nothing at all. Only putting herself in a greater position of weakness. I wish to see the old Israel return, the Israel that in 6 days put Egypt on their knees. This old Israel would have put Hizbullah into the pages of history.

  • 17 Charles Wesley // Aug 27, 2006 at 11:19 pm

Israel may go nuclear the next time. Restraint in such cases would very hard to exercise when the cost could be so high in men to subdue Hezbollah. We might also be affected by it.

  • 18 Jeff // Aug 28, 2006 at 3:32 am

The failure to disarm/remove Hezbullah from Lebonen is Bush’s failure. No one else. And no one thinks otherwise.
Israel failed because it takes orders from Bush/Rice.
Bush failed to block re-armament. Bush failed at every juncture.
    How sad.
Israel has been witled down to a mere shadow of its previous self.
The Israeli leadership mus be put before a firing squad on Al Jezeera, to show the Muslims that Jews can be serious as well.
Israeli leadership are no more then US flunkies bent on the obliteration of Israel.

    ENOUGH TO HUMILIATION

    BY: FERN SIDMAN

In the aftermath of Israel’s worst military defeat since the beginning of the creation of the modern Jewish state, we stand humiliated and denigrated in the eyes of the world. On the home front, their are calls for commissions of inquiry into the mismanagement of the war.
The media, reservists, the left wing and right wing are demanding the resignation of the Olmert government. The defense ministry is under attack as is the foreign ministry.

There is no question that Israel gained nothing and lost much in this recent military conflict in Lebanon. Hezbollah and its Syrian and Iranian sponsors are basking in glory as is the entire Arab world. As they celebrate their victory and the defeat of the “invincible” Israeli army, the global criticism and condemnations of Israel’s actions in Lebanon keep mounting at a furious pace.

The threats of a nuclear attack on Israel from Iranian President Ahmadinejad are very real, as he defies world pressure and vows to continue developing the country’s uranium enrichment program.

If this kind of humiliation were not enough, we have just learned that Rev. Jesse Jackson is engaged in shuttle diplomacy to seek the release of the three Israeli soldiers still held hostage by Hamas and Hizbollah. According to Arutz Sheva news service, (8/29/06) “Jackson met with the Damascus-based leader of the Hamas terror organization (Khaled Meshaal) as well as with Syrian President Bashar Assad before leaving for Lebanon, the second stop in his regional diplomacy tour.

The American cleric is expected to meet with Lebanon’s President Emile Lahoud, Prime Minister Fuad Siniora and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. Jackson said he is also hoping to meet with Hizbullah chief terrorist Hassan Nasrallah to discuss a prisoner exchange deal to free Goldwasser and Regev. Jackson is slated to visit Israel after talks in Lebanon.”

Rev. Jackson’s track record is far from stellar when it comes to negotiating on behalf of Jews. Jackson’s record of embracing terrorists of all stripes is legendary. He embraced Yassir Arafat, praised him as “urbane, educated and reasonable” and was a vocal supporter of his philosophies and actions. In 1984, Jackson ran for the presidency of the United States, garnering 3.5 million votes, enough to make him a kingmaker, a power broker in the Democratic party. His candidacy was riddled with viciously anti-semitic statements, as he referred to Jews as “Hymies” and New York City as “Hymietown”. Jesse Jackson was known as an anti-Semite long before Hymietown. He had a record of making disgusting and vicious remarks about Jews, including calling Zionism the poisoned weed of Judaism and saying that he’s sick and tired of hearing about the Holocaust.

It is also noteworthy to mention that Rev. Jackson may be flagrantly violating United States laws by negotiating with organizations and leaders that are currently on the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations. These organizations include Hamas and Hezbollah.

It is clear that Israel should have demanded the release of the three soliders as a pre-condition to any agreement of a cease fire, however due to the ineptitude of the leadership of the government of Israel, this was not included in the deal. And so, we now have Jesse Jackson brokering a prisoner exchange deal that will surely require Israel to release thousands of Arab terrorists, thereby ensuring future kidnappings of Israeli soldiers, and even more pronounced acts of terrorism directed at Israel.

According to an article entitled, View from Haifa: The September 10th Syndrome by Steven Plaut (Jewish Press, 7/19/06), he gives a concise chronology of the effects of Israeli prisoner exchanges. It is as follows:
    • In 1985, the Likud-led government of Yitzhak Shamir carried out a prisoner exchange with the “Jibril” terrorists. Israel agreed to release more than a thousand Arabs incarcerated for terrorist activities in exchange for three Israeli soldiers. Just three days after the trade, one of those released Arabs was brought into an Israeli hospital. He had accidentally blown himself up while preparing a bomb intended for Israeli shoppers. Others among the released terrorists would, in the months and years to come, participate in a number of attacks and murders.

    • On October 16, 1986, while on a mission over southern Lebanon, Israeli air force navigator Lieutenant Colonel Ron Arad and his pilot were forced by a technical problem to parachute out of their plane. The pilot was rescued by an Israeli chopper, but Arad fell captive to terrorists belonging to the Lebanese Shi’ite Amal militia. All trace of Arad was lost. Since 1986, Israel has engaged in feeble and pointless attempts at “quiet diplomacy” in order to win the release of Arad or at least learn of his fate. The efforts have produced nothing.

    • In 1992, Yitzhak Rabin launched his “peace plan” of legitimizing and recognizing the PLO and at the same time ordered the expulsion of 400 Hamas terrorists from the West Bank and Gaza to Lebanon. The expulsion had near-universal support in Israel. Shortly thereafter, however, Israel permitted almost all the expelled terrorists return to the West Bank and Gaza Strip, where they resumed their leadership roles in terror organizations. It was a yet another goodwill gesture for which Israel got nothing in exchange. Not even information on Ron Arad.

    • In 1994, in the middle of Rabin’s “peace initiative,” Palestinian terrorists kidnapped Israeli soldier Nachshon Wachsman. The kidnappers held him hostage in the West Bank village of Bir Naballah, which had long been a hotbed of terror.

On October 7, 1994, villagers violently attacked Israeli soldiers who were trying to storm the Bir Naballah home in which Wachsman was being held. The terrorists had enough time to murder Wachsman before his would-be rescuers got into the house. Israel did not bulldoze the village in retaliation, just as it has not bulldozed other West Bank villages in which soldiers and civilians have been murdered.

These days, Israeli leftists are busy assisting the residents of Bir Naballah in sabotaging the security wall Israel is constructing, because it offends the sensitivities of the Arab villagers.

    • In July 2003 the Israeli cabinet decided in a 14-9 vote to buy Ariel Sharon a Kodak moment in Washington by releasing more than 500 Palestinian prisoners, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Fatah terrorists, again as a “goodwill gesture.” Few of the released terrorists took up quilting.

    • In January 2004, Israel agreed to an exchange with Hizbullah. More than 400 Arab prisoners, many accused of killing civilians, were released in return for a single Israeli civilian hostage and the bodies of the three soldiers who had been murdered in cold blood by Hizbullah.

The prisoner exchange was widely opposed in Israel, and passed the Israeli cabinet by a single vote. Afterward, Israel never avenged the three soldiers murdered by Hizbullah. A suicide bombing that killed 10 Israelis took place the very day of the prisoners’ release, but Israel went ahead with it anyway.

Two of those set free had been high-ranking Lebanese terrorists, directly involved in the kidnapping, torture, and reported “sale” of Ron Arad to Iran. Israel did not even demand information on the whereabouts of Arad in exchange, just an empty promise of some information in the future, which, needless to say, has never materialized.

At the time, the Arab media crowed in smug satisfaction at Israel’s humiliation in the prisoner release. Al-Ahram called it a “new notch in Hizbullah’s belt!” In Israel it was seen as a debacle. Even Yoel Marcus at Israel’s far-left daily Haaretz called it a “License to Kidnap.”

It is clear that Jackson’s motive is to curry favor in Arab world. It is also clear the the Israeli public has a right to demand that the government of Israel secure the release of the three Israeli soldiers. We cannot, however, allow a Jew hater of the likes of Jesse Jackson to pressure Israel into a prisoner exchange agreement that would endanger future Jewish lives.

The nation of Israel must loudly proclaim, “Enough Humiliation”. It is not realistic to believe that the government of Israel will not entertain the notion of a prisoner exchange. It has already indicated that it would consider such a plan. If the government of Israel wishes to be a pawn in Jackson’s nefarious scheme, and to facilitate a scenario that would elevate him to a hero status around the world, then it is incumbent on Jews worldwide to express their outrage and indignation at a government that seeks to invite even further humiliation to a country that has endured more than its share.

At this precarious time, we must seek Divine help and assistance. We must appeal to the Almighty G-d of Israel through the power of prayer. We must storm the gates of Heaven with our supplications. Let us remember the words of King David (Psalm 70) - “Shamed and disgraced be those who seek my soul. Repulsed and humiliated be those who desire my harm. Let them be turned back in consequence of their shaming me, those who say, Aha!, Aha!. Let rejoice and be glad in You all who seek You, and let them say always, may G-d be exalted, those who love Your salvation”.

  • 22 Charles Wesley // Aug 30, 2006 at 11:54 pm

Who is this G-d ? I see this all the time and it makes me sick! If you are going to call on the name of GOD do it with all your heart. Don’t be ashamed of ridicule from the world for your commitment to GOD.
Also GOD may not have in mind for Israel to win every skirmish. It will be the threat of a nuclear war that will bring down Russia to occupy Israel in the latter times. And it is the latter times ! Russia will be the only power to quickly deploy to Israel that would not be objectionable to the hostile Islamic
    and stop the escalation.
Read about (Gog and Magog) and Dajjal.
