Terrorism: crime or act of war?

August 3rd, 2006  ·  6 Comments

Much of the world is continuing to have trouble deciding if Islamic terrorism is a mere crime, or an act of war. This stems from the fact that while major terror groups usually have state sponsors, their actions are not carried out on behalf of any particular nation.

Even so, the real problem is the liberal humanistic mindset that now dominates international decision making. It insists on seeing the world according to national boundaries, when in fact the enemy is spiritual, transcending current borders. This has started to change in both Israel and the US, though both nations continue to resist the notion that the world is experiencing a clash of civilizations or religions.

Israel regularly and publicly decries “Palestinian” and Lebanese terrorism as acts of war, and in most cases begins to respond accordingly, though liberal elements at home and concerns over criticism abroad usually bring an abrupt end to any military counter-action.

Up until September 11, 2001, the US fell into the category of treating terrorism as a crime, launching investigations into individual attacks rather than going to war against its enemy. But America’s Christian leader remained clear-headed that day, and openly acknowledged that a global battle between good and evil, light and dark was under way and that it was time for his nation to join the fight.

However, both Israel and the US will continue to find themselves fighting an uphill battle so long as they act as apologists for Islam, the so-called “religion of peace,” rather than demanding accountability from the followers of Allah.

They will continue to find themselves fighting an uphill battle until they fully recognize that this is a clash of civilizations that has been raging since the advent of Islam and before, and stop allowing modern political boundaries to have such impact on their response.

And lastly, they will continue to find themselves fighting an uphill battle until they fully come to terms with the fact that this is a war, and as such can only have one of two outcomes - victory or defeat. There can be no negotiated middle ground.

Ryan, It’s 3AM in America/S. Ga, and I could not sleep. am up praying about many things. Pondering so many things. I share these thoughts with you: The people of the nations of the world must come to understand tht Israel is standing against enemies who are waging what they consider to be a “holy war.” They plan to “divide and conquer” until they not only destroy Israel, but ALL who will not submit to their religious beliefs.

It is time we realize how deceived and blind we are to criticize Israel. We must have out “lights” turned on NOW! Once we see the truth, we WILL stand with Israel, and pray for a great and swift Victory. ISRAEL IS NOT THE BAD GUY!!! ISRAEL IS FIGHTING SO THAT CIVILIZATION AS WE NOW KNOW IT WILL NOT CEASE TO EXIST ON PLANET EARTH. It is vital we understand this. We have to wake up and see the Big Picture. Our very existence is at stake.

Prayerfully, with fasting and deep love for Israel and its people there and all around the world. marsha

Wow, finally someone who talks sense and gives the facts that are so needed to make decisions in dealing with the hoards of hell that are coming against the free world.

Unfortunatly most in America including our govenmental officails do not have the right focus to fight this war and win. They still think we can negotiate with the Nation of Islam. Not so, as you said in your article that there is only one out come and that is victory or defeat. And with our present way of fighting a war we will not win, but just come to a draw which in Islam’s eyes is a victory.

We in America need to come to the final decision that we will stand with and fight along side Israel if nessecary to turn the tide of world domination of the Nation of Islam. For the most part Europe just pushes for a cease fire to stop Isael from accomplishing their goal of stopping Hizbullah in its tracks.

It is time for the free world demand an accountability from the followers of Allah. For to long we have just let them do as they please with no one challenging them. Because of the fear that the oil supply will be shut off or outrageous prices will follow any challenge for accountability, we shy away from this challenge.

We in the free world have a responsibility to back Israel with all our might and prayer. As a previous writter mentioned, “We have to wake up and see the Big Picture. Our very existence depends on it.”

With deep love for the people of Israel. Tom

    What level do you watch?
    Nation against nation?
    One Faith against another?
    Comunism against the rest?
New World moving peoples into positions they desire?
World leaders prepairing for the instalation of the World Leader
God letting the disobedient to destroy each other..
Meanwhile with all the pressures in the world God is calling people to chose and follow Him. Some day His calling will be done, then comes the Wrath. Then all hell breaks loose.

Is it any wonder than my nation, America, is having storm after storm…flood and flood….quakes, quakes….and heat waves like we have not experienced ever….large areas…no little weather problems—BIG WEATHER PROBLEMS! When any nation comes under God’s judgment, the Bible says these are the sure signs that tell that nation they are in “big trouble” with the Most High God.” AMERICA IS IN BIG TROUBLE! Our only hope is for our 300 million men, women and children to have the scales moved from our eyes, so we can realize that these weather patterns, etc. are signals of God’s displeasure with our nation and WITH US! How in the world can a child(children) be any better than their parents! We set the examples, whether godly or ungodly, and our children watch our lives….MY “granny” always said: “Little people have big eyes and big ears.” I did not fully understand this as a child, but I sure have understood it for many years as an adult….When will we get this???

I pray that my dear President Bush, who I love and have voted for in both elections, will have nerves of steel, a mind that cannot be swayed by anyone, except the voice of Almighty God, speaking to President Bush in his prayer closet.

God does speak to people!!! But first that person must get alone and quiet before God….then He will manifest His presence to that and any person who will humble themself, wait on the Lord, and acknowledge that HE IS GOD!

Whoever reads this, please pray for our President George W. Bush…He so needs all of our prayers. God can use this man in ways to help Israel that none of us have ever even dreamed about, if we will only pray for God to do just that!!!

I love you all…..Israel, Beloved, Israel, you are ever in my prayers, on my mind and my heart. marsha

President Bush and his minions are no match for the muslim jihadists. The Bush regime is impotent to negotiate any kind of “peace,” let alone an enduring cease-fire. After all, President Bush declared Islam, a “religion of peace” after 9/11. Given his previous dealings with arabs in the oil business what else could he dare say? Now, he wants to paint Hezbollah as a “terrorist” organization. Well, he can’t have it both says although politically that would be his dream.
Expect a horrible bloodbath on August 22nd. This is a significant date for the jihadists. They are the epitome of “fanatics,” and are GLADLY willing to die for what they believe in. It is glorious for them. These fighters are more than a formidable enemy, they truly believe that they are invincible and in doing that are involved in a self-fulfilling prophecy!
