Why Israel hit a UN post

July 27th, 2006  ·  64 Comments

How could Israel with its precision weapons accidentally hit a UN post while fighting the Hiz’allah? This is how:

Hizb'allah UN post

That is a UN observer post on the Israeli-Lebanese border, with UN and Hizb’allah flags flying side-by-side from its walls. When UN posts ARE Hizb’allah positions, no one should be surprised when UN personnel are killed in Israel’s offensive against the terrorists.

So I guess Kofi Annan was right, Israel did purposely target the position. But the blood of the four international troops killed are on his hands alone since, to use Annan’s words, the UN “apparently deliberately” facilitated the terrorist enemies of Israel.

And the UN has the audacity to demand an apology from Israel.

    Oh Go on then!

Israel is not guilty you are right, we should blame the death of the UN troops on the UN.

Same as blaming 9-11 on the americans for being stupid enough to build those towers so hi.

Get a fucking life will you.

The problem with you Israelis is that you think that you are righ and justify eveything you do.

What the fuck is going on in your mind? Is there a part of it missing?

To-day, I read somewhere on the web that Hizbula had killed a UN man and his wife but I have been unable to locate the site since.

Can you please send the information to me, I would be MOST grateful.

    Many many thanks,
    Margaret

    Salah

Doesn’t the religion of peace condemn cursing of the kind you are using…..?

Truth is hard to swallow, but try to be civil about it.

  • 4 Salah Uddin // Jul 27, 2006 at 1:19 pm

    Victor,

Truth? Please spare me this idiotic rethoric that you must always correct others!

Coorect yourselves first, a religion whose first commandment is thou shall not kill!

We haven’t even left the pub and you are laready in the wrong.

    Margaret,

Where did you hear the news? On another zionist propaganda site, or from Rabbi shlomo zerhl, both of which have been working very hard to justify israeli aggression everywhere?

    To good ole Salah,
It looks to me that birds of a feather just got together in one little neat package. It is simple, Hezbollah and UN are one and the same if they live as one happy gang, and they do.
It will take a bit of time to get them snakes and scorpions out from under their rocks up there in Lebanon, but it will get done, trust me Salah. I was a soldier in 82 and did exaclty that. My platoon included a MAG, two 75’s mortars, small ones, and a full complement of combat rifles.
    I was the MAG guy…
Must say that the Hezbollah shows a bit more fiber than the PLO but, nevertheless, count the hours slowly ma friend, they are precious for you all… That’s all most of the Nasrallah boys got left.

Can any of the apologists for terror explain to me why the Hezbollah flag is flying from a UN peacekeeping outpost?

A good reason, please… though I expect to be roundly disappointed.

    Salah says:
Is there a part of it missing?

There sure is and its the whole story. Ryan tell the whole story instead of giving a side that benefits Israel. The whole story is that the UN peace observers were constantly removing the flag. This phot is old and therefore is a set up to validate a onesided view. Shameful thing for a Christian to do, right Ryan?

  • 11 Salah Uddin // Jul 28, 2006 at 10:41 am

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

I must admit, that although this ongoing plight and fight is one of major significance to the region and the world; I am surprised if not pleasantly by the response some of these posts are getting.

I ask if I dare one question, all differences aside; why is there no dialogue as this site hasd proven. Point or not point why is it that this talk is not translated into the real street.

Muslims, Arabs, Jews, Israelis, all people of Abraham, yet this void???

I oftem wonder, the Arabs today, and then?

Where Israel fails is in convincing its opponenents that it brings anything other than shame and destruction, and I truly wonder where in the good books this is written.

May God, one day, you know that single day, and only one, bring this region to the peace it deserves, for its people are a wonder, regrdless of creed, origin or religion.

What is happening today despite the passions that stir us is a disaster in the making, nor your children nor mine will have the peace we promise them if it continues.

Rice and the US politics have only brought meddling.

    Sam,

So you don’t miss it, I left you a note at #34 under “Just one problem, Kofi”.

  • 13 Jeff // Jul 28, 2006 at 11:50 am

    Ryan,

Amorton could have a point there. If you did make a mistake there, I am supposing you did it in ignorance, not intentionally.

In any case, may the Lord fill us with the realization of the whole story from His viewpoint, filling our hearts with love, spirit, and life. Then out of the abundance of our hearts, our mouths will speak (and our computer keys will click).

  • 14 Jeff // Jul 28, 2006 at 1:50 pm

One effective way to teach a child is to ask him/her to do something you know he is incapable of. If he/she has a good and willing heart, he/she will give it his/her best shot. When the full realization of failure begins to dawn, the lessons can be taken to the next step.

Thus, Israel at Sinai, said, “All that Yahweh says, we will do.” And Yahweh said that was good.

Our brother, Peter, with all the good intention of his heart, said to his Master, “I will never deny you.” We know the story. He was ready for the next lesson after He denied the Master three times.

The nation of Israel, all mankind, and the universe, will learn the lesson eventually: the Creator is Everything and we are nothing.

That is classic Kofi Annan and the UN! Anti-Israel to the end! Another A-1 precision commentary, Ryan! Keep it up!

  • 16 Paul // Jul 28, 2006 at 4:25 pm

All of the Muslim world is committed whole-heartedly to the destruction of Israel. Just the existence of Israel at all proves that Islam is a lie, Muhammad was a liar and the Koran is not prophetic or holy, but one man’s personal (and insane) ideas. There will never be peace in the middle east (for the Arabs), as long as their is any peice of it governed by Jews. Why don’t people get that? I can’t believe ANY rational thinking person can’t see that. They warp these people’s brains from the time they are babies. There is no free and independant thinking going on here

  • 17 Salah // Jul 28, 2006 at 5:28 pm

    Salah,

First the first commandment is “You shall have no other gods before me” and the first 2 are of great importance regarding false idols then next the 3rd commandment is taking the Lord my Gods name in vain.(ironic that the muslim gods are not mentioned false idols i would say) thou shalt not kill that is the 6th commandment. Also if you look at the covenant that the Lord God made he made a covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel) that they (the Hebrews) shall posses the land Israel. The Hebrews are a peaceful people it is the radical muslims that are a torn in our side and eventually my God the God of Israel will pluck away these torns and send them to hell where they belong.

  • 19 Noreen // Jul 28, 2006 at 7:52 pm

Yes, it is agreed that Islam is a false religion based upon a false god many centuries ago and Mohammed was a false prophet used by Satan to spread his false religion to deceive many, even today. Israel will be triumphant because God, the true God, that is, will defeat those who come against her. Period… No question mark. Get a clue Salah!

  • 20 Pat // Jul 28, 2006 at 9:35 pm

If any nation has a right to the land they occupy, it is Israel. God gave that land to Israel to be theirs forever, and God will see that it is done. God said that He would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who cursed them, I want the world to know that I pray blessings on God’s holy people and I know that God will fight for them and guide them.
Those against Israel, maybe should read Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. Everything that God said would happen, including Israel being a nation again, has come to pass as He said that it would. Make no mistake, this will happen as He said it would also.
    God Bless Israel

    Psalms 83

1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. 2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. 4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. 5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: 6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; 7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; 8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah. 9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: 10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. 11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: 12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. 13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; 15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. 17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: 18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Israel has every right to defend itself from these low life muslim terrorists, just like the US defending itself from terrorists.someday soon, according to bible prophecy a man from the european union(the antichrist) will confirm a truce lasting 7 years but it will be a false peace.when this happens the rapture will occur meaning all christians will be taken from this earth and chaos will reign, all you have to do is read revelation and ezekiel 38 and 39 to see the events leading up to the raptuire.watch for russia and a coalition of arab nation to invade israel,so watch the news, read your bible and watch it unfold before your very eyes

Do you know that Psalms 83 was the ancient text they just found in Ireland? It was covered by FoxNews and others, called a miracle discovery, from the MIddle Ages! Actually, it was a thick book, with many Psalms, but the page was opened to Ps. 83! Coincidence? I think not! Beware, enemies of Jehovah.

  • 26 Salah Uddin // Jul 29, 2006 at 7:58 am

    Jeff,

When I read some of these posts, I understand why it will never happen.

Tha gap is too wide and too deep. Considering Israel positions itself as a “democratic” country and a leader in many ways, it’s people will assume the responsibility of what is hapeeing today, without exception.

To term other races/religion as “low scum” and to obviously think it as some of our dear netizens do reflects also that the prejudice is deepern than one would like to admit and is often the result of years of indoctrination.

Funny enough, the germans did the same to their people pre WW2, we only know the results only too well.

No doubt this conflict will drag out, Goebbels has been replaced by ultra conservative rabbis who are at the mercy of the war industry and financiers, and they touch your society at it’s deepest.

You would like this war to be one of religion, based on your erroneous belief of the judea and Samara, interpreting holly text to suit your weaknesses and prove your existance; we know better though that it is not and if anything it shows how corrupt judaism today is.

This war will not end this conflict, but only worsen it.

What happened to the jews in WW2 is now happening to palestinians and more recently to the lebanese, and if the wise cannot see the similarity and lead their people accordingly, Judaism will be in for a bittter surprise, the sympathy of the masses over the holocaust is wearing thin, if ever still present.

    Pat,
You are right on. Israel will be triumphant. The trumpet will have already sounded and I plan on being in the clouds. Not sure if my departure will be from the grave or from life on earth because we do not know the day…only that the time draws nearer.

  • 28 Salah Uddin // Jul 29, 2006 at 9:31 am

    Pat,

You will know soon enough the consequences of your actions.

You will also pay for it. No deed in this world goes unaccounted for.

Live in your dreams and in your clouds now, we await you on firm ground.

And while the IDF suffers one of its most deafeining defeats at the hand of a people’s army, I will be presnt to enjoy the demise of your present government and the subsequent questions that will arise past this conlflict and if anything, Israel will have to answer to the murder of the hundreds of Civilins it killed and it’s aggressionon civilian centers.

Tomorrow, we will also watch the world point the finger and re-evaluate its stance vis a vis the jews and the true existance of israel. Then and only then we will tally.

It will be the start of the demise of your people and any protection and sympathy that was afforded to you until now.

    And you will pay!

And as it says on the dollar bills: “In God we trust” Arabs will add to that: “All the rest Cash please!”

Stop deluding yourself from this concept that you are God’s people, if anything, you are the filth of this world and in every respect of the word.

So blow your horns while you can, we have time…

  • 30 Jeff // Jul 29, 2006 at 10:50 am

    Salah,

I agree with you that this little war will not end this conflict. I believe the worldwide situation is going to get MUCH worse, before true peace is established.

“For roused shall be a nation against a nation, and a kingdom against a kingdom, and there shall be famines and quakes in places. Yet all these are the BEGINNING of pangs. Matthew 24:8

Heralded shall be the evangel (well-message, good news) of the kingdom (of the God of the heavens), and then the consummation shall be arriving.

. . . then shall be great affliction, such as has not occurred from the beginning of the world till now; neither under any circumstances may be ocurring. And, except those days were discounted (cut short), no flesh at all would be saved. Yet, because of the chosen, those days shall be discounted.

Now immediately after the affliction of those days the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not be giving her beams, and the stars (meteors?) shall be falling from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Mankind in heaven, and then all the tribes of the land shall grieve, and they shall see the Son of Mankind coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Now concerning that day and hour no one is aware, neither the messengers (angels) of the heavens, nor the Son; except the Father only.

For even as the days of Noah, thus shall be the presence of the Son of Mankind. For as they were in those days before the deluge, eating and drinking and marrying and taking in marriage UNTIL the day on which Noah entered into the ark, and DID NOT KNOW TILL the deluge came and took them all away, thus shall be the presence of the Son of Mankind.

This information is gleaned from the words of Jesus in Matthew 24.

I agree with you Judaism is corrupt, although I’m not aware of any concentration camps in Israel. I also believe Christianity is quite corrupt. In fact, the entire creation (including you and me) is presently subject to the slavery of corruption. Romans 8:20-21 The entire creation is groaning and travailing.

But some of us have received an expectation of better things to come, so we get a little excited when we see things that look like progress.

Those of us who have this expection (freely given to us by the Spirit of God), have this word written to us:

Now concerning the times and the eras, brothers, you have no need to be written to, for you yourselves are accurately aware that the day of the Lord is as a theif in the night–thus it is coming! Now whenever they may be saying “Peace and Security”, then extermination is standing by them unawares, even as a pang over the pregnant, and they may by no means escape. Now you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the day should be overtaking you as a thief . . . for God did not appoint us to indignation, but to the procuring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

As far as responsibility goes, the Creator assumes full responsibility for all the actions of His creatures, seeing that out of Him, through Him, and for Him is THE ALL. For this reason He dispatched His Son into the world to die for the sake of everyone and everything. When death is finally abolished (discarded) the display of indignation will be finished and God will be ALL IN ALL.

Yes, to think of others as “scum” is not good. For we who are judging are committing the same things. Are we reckoning this, who are judging, and doing the same things, that we will escape the judgement of God?

God locks up ALL together in stubbornness, and He will be merciful to ALL.

Eonian chastening is quite a different concept than “eternal punishment”.

Salah, you and I both came out of Noah, and we’re both going into God along with the rest of creation.

  • 31 Jeff // Jul 29, 2006 at 11:18 am

    Salah,

    A little correction here:

I suppose we could say we came out of Noah, but technically speaking we are out of God and both came through Noah.

In the same sense, THE ALL (everything and everyone) is out of God, through Jesus Christ.

Precious few are aware of this.

What about the Devil? I can hear it now.

Yes, Devil included. And he will bow his knee with the rest of us, gratefully acclaiming Jesus as His Master, to the glory of God, the Father.

  • 32 Salah Uddin // Jul 29, 2006 at 12:20 pm

    Pat,

    1000lbs to hit a pinhead!

It shows that an army that prides itself for its professionalism is incapable of targeting its true ennemy.

Where is all this technology without the desire to combat, and while the young revel in the shadow of the elders cauchemardesque relinquishing of the past, or the talmud, that out of comfort and ease we interpret as we wish to suit our guilt in the face of a God we have espoused as our own?

Pinhead maybe but the concentration of tangible matter in this one, will take your **** for brains gray matter on anytime sweets!

  • 33 Salah Uddin // Jul 29, 2006 at 12:32 pm

    Jeff,

Agree, agree, agree; it is not a war of ideology, the triangle of the three monotheistic faiths is corrupt, and aspire to the slaving of its people in the name of those said ideologies.

Or as Lenin said: “Religion is the opium of the masses!”

Apart from the holly book paraphrasing, why is there no sense in this conflict that is actually so outright simple.

    Where is this war going?

As to concentration camps, I must admit I see Gaza as nothing else but that, the highest concentration off humans being in any defined geographical area, I knew Israel for it’s technology avant garde, but not for it’s ghetto designs.

There are some true facts about this conflict that need addressing, with common sense and not religious zealotry.

Let us also put into context the reality of matters and terminology. Islam is not terrorism and hezbollah is a militia that is fighting to defend the right of existance of its people in peace very much like the IZL under Menahme Begin.

If people relise this then perhaps we can move foreward.

  • 34 AMorton // Jul 29, 2006 at 1:12 pm

And would it surprise any of you that the only event left for us to witness that has been prophecied is the coming of Jesus?

  • 35 Jeff // Jul 29, 2006 at 2:45 pm

    Salah,

As I see it, this war could possibly be just another skirmish like thousands of others that have been going on for thousands of years.

Yet looking at the world situation coupled with my limited understanding of prophecy it seems that this war is part of the beginning of birth pangs referred to by Jesus.

I believe there will be a 7 year peace accord made, possibly in the near future, and the world will think they finally have some solutions, saying “Peace and security”.. But halfway through those 7 years things will blow up and deteriorate to an unimaginable degree, to the extent that a great percentage of mankind will die. Some will even be seeking death and be unable to find it.

During that time Babylon the Great with its corporate greed will be destroyed.

If you want to read more of the story go to Revelation 19-21.

But keep in mind. I Corinthians 15 takes us further than Revelation. In Revelation we still have Christ reigning, we still have the lake of fire there which will be the part of the timid, the unbelievers, the abominable, the murderers, the paramours, the enchanters, the idolaters, and all the false, and we still have Satan being tormented (put through an ordeal) for the eons of the eons; that is the final 2 eons, which are referred to as the eons of the eons like we would say the books of the books, meaning the best of them.

In I Corinthians we see ALL finallly subjected to Christ. Death as well as all rule and authority are discarded. Christ Himself delivers up the kingdom and is subjected to His God and Father, and God bcomes All in all.

The body of Christ is a very special spiritual organism, TO WHOM THE CONSUMMATIONS OF THE EONS HAVE ATTAINED. Israel’s experiences have been written for our admonition. The infinite Deity Himself is making home in us and through us will reconcile all to Himself and complete all in all.

This is where I see this war going.

When I referred to concentration camps I had in mind where they erect barbwire fences torture people, starve them to death, cook them in ovens, and make big piles of dead bodies, but I do see your point there.

I have wondered, is it really impossible for these people around Israel to find a job and make a living somehow? I thought Israel let them in and treated them just like anybody else as long as they live peacably. I have read that Israel has actually been kinder to them than many of their Arab brothers in other countries. Whether that was just propaganda, I’m not sure.

Muslims, Jews, Christians, Hesbollah, Iranians, Koreans, Australians, whatever, all see things their way, and you know as well as I, even within these groups there are quite diverse opinions and agendas.

The only true solution I see to all these problems death to the flesh through the cross of Christ, and by that I don’t mean Christians should wave a big flag with a cross on it and kill everybody else.

Actually, when Christ died; in God’s reckoning everybody died. When Christ arose everybody also rose into a new creation. Every problem has already been solved. When God reveals His solution to a man, that man becomes very happy.
And He will eventually reveal it to every man because He desires all mankind to be saved and come into a realization of the truth. He does whatever He wants.

Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and there’s nothing anybody can do about that. He’s not begging and hoping for someone to make a good deciscion to believe Him. The decisions have already been made. Those who believe Him now were chosen to believe.

Likewise, those who find themselves in war and misery are also there because God has ordained it for a good purpose. He will make it right for everyone at the right time.

The consummations of the eons are quite a ways off, humanly speaking, but in spirit we can see them and work with our Father for the completion of all in all.

Things are moving forward no matter what people may realize.

If one is interested only in human peace without the true knowledge of God, he may find himself in the conflagration at the consummation of this wicked eon.

Salah and the others that want to try and take the land that God has promised the Jews. The Lord will soon return there has never been a prophecy in the bible that has been wrong and with the prophecies left to be fullfilled I know that they will not be wrong.

Zechariah 12:2-3: Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

This is setting the foundation for all the Arabs to come against Israel the good part is that the prophecies are almost fullfilled and that soon the son of God, Jesus Christ and all the angels of the Lord will soon come back and rapture the church. I hope that whoever doesnt believe will come to know Jesus Christ and those that want to not believe will at least come to the Lord after the Rapture.

Dark days lie ahead for the world but the good part is that those who believe will soon be home with God the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel).

Look to the skies for our redemeption draweth near.

I fail to understand why any Arab country should be hosting palestinians when they have their own land?

They are from the land of Palestine and that is where they belong, not Kuwait, saudi, Algeria or any other country.

And why should other Arab countries have to handle them, the Israelis expressed their desire to control the land but it does not mean that they have to do everytinhg possible to make the life of the Palestinians so difficult!

Of all the things that muslims and leftists have in common is that a good one is a dead one.

  • 44 George Jewson // Jul 30, 2006 at 5:24 pm

    Absolutely true,

Haha, I would have said the same about every IDF soldier who walks into Lebanon, but I will allow you to pleasure the defeat the IDF will receive past this one!

Imprblebus, you will remember all of this, later. Like children dirty jews like you will find all excuses later, but when we furnace you like Hitler did we will see again that every good jew is a burnt one.

And Arabs have all the oil to do it!

The only good islam terrorist is a dead one go Israel, You kill Them in lebadon While other forces kill them in Iraq and Aftgastian. it will be a safe and peacful world for every one when all islam terrorist are dead , so keep up the good work.

  • 50 Improbulus Maximus // Jul 31, 2006 at 12:21 am

George, I understand your anger; your filthy, subhuman hive of vermin called muslims can only look good without anyone better to compare your failures to, so you have to kill everyone in the world, including pigs and monkeys, who are much more sanitary and well-mannered than arabs.

  • 51 gene // Jul 31, 2006 at 12:23 am

The god Of islam is totally different from the God we Know.
The Quran tells us that the god of islam Works with Satan and demons to lead people astray in order to populate the hell he created (surah 6;39 126 ; 32;13 43;36 -37] .24
islam can not and will not win this war God gave the land of Israel to Abraham, Issac, and Jocob and their descendants
forever, israel belonngs to god and his chosen people the
jews and it will never be taken from them according to god,
so god bless israel and all jews and america. because we believe in life , not death like the others.

  • 52 gene // Jul 31, 2006 at 12:33 am

Islam attitude towards the jews is found in Surah 9;5 Fight and slay the pagans{christians and jews} Wherever you find them and seize them beleaguer them and lie in wait for them in every strategem[ of war} In Surrah 5;33 we read The punishment of those who wage war againts allah and his messenger … is execution or crucifixion
or the cutting off of hands and feet from oppside sides or exile from the land. and they say this is a peaceful religon
    only on another planet.

    To all zionist,

you all think that israel will win. wake up, dream is over. you think you can steel our land, and creat a lie, and this lie will continue forever.

by the way, you all should apply to hollywood. you will become excellent actors, and make good money.

when Hertzil started the zionist federation, in 1997 there was palestine, not israel. israel never existed, and will never does.

by the way, there is one thing your leaders learned from our idiots. great speeches, nothing on ground.

2nd August Olmert said @ 10:20, we managed to distry Hizbullah. in 2 hours time more than 200 rockets hit in occupied palestine. continue to learn more from our leaders. good for you.

Final comment, all above are facts, not only period.

  • 62 Tom Goodwin, G.G. // Aug 11, 2006 at 11:35 pm

This photograph looks like it has been photoshopped. Kind of like the recent Reuters photograph of bombing in downtown Beirut. There is NO WAY that the UN is going to side with either the muslim militants OR the IDF.
Trick photography of this kind is apparent to anyone who has spent a lot of money paid to Adobe for the “privilege” of digital manipulation.

Your are right George Israel is going to be overrun by Russia (gog-magog) but JESUS will deal harshly with those that come against Israel. So open wide!
