Annan lets his anti-Israel face show

July 12th, 2006  ·  16 Comments

UN chief Kofi Annan wasted no time in “condemning without reservation” Israel’s military response to Wednesday’s Hizb’allah assault that left seven Israelis dead, eight wounded, and two as captives of the Lebanese terrorists.

While Annan did insist on the immediate release of the abducted Israelis, he notably failed to explicitly condemn the Hizb’allah raid as he had the Israeli counter-action.

Annan was unsurprisingly joined by a chorus of other world leaders urging Israel to “show restraint,” act in a “moderate and proportionate” manner, and not “seek an eye for an eye” following the unprovoked aggression against its citizens.

But they once again failed to offer a viable alternative to overwhelming Israeli force, apparently believing their own toothless demands would be heeded by Hizb’allah.

Hizb’allah is not going to release the Israelis because the world tells it to, just as it clearly is not going to disarm as the world told it to. And allowing the international community to broker another prisoner exchange between Israel and Hizb’allah will certainly encourage additional abductions.

In the absence of a viable alternative, the world would do well to let Israel pursue the one course of action that will best prevent a repeat of today’s events: the annihilation of Hizb’allah.

I am a believer that G-d has chosen His people for a purpose and placed them in the Land that He has chosen for His purposes.

According to the Tanach, “obedience is better than sacrifice” and I believe that if we honor HaShem, He will honor us because of our obedience.

I believe that G-d still intends for Israel to inhabit the Promised Land and that someday the Temple will be rebuilt and all the faithful will live in true peace and happiness one day.

I am all for the the annihilation of Hizb’allah. I am thinking perhaps the same for the palestinian radicals. Israel, stop listening to the international community and take care of your business as you know well how to do. This is exactly why you should never give-up any of your land. They will not let you have peace.
    For Israel always,

I am sad that Mr. Annan being an African - Ghanaian, would forget their bitter experience from racist culminating to slave trade, would himself act recist again Israel.

Im not sure I understand why the rest of the world doesn
t seem to have a clue?… As a parent If a neighborhood child attacked one of mine I would be inclined to deal with the situation in the quickest most effective manner available to me; this is what Israel is doing. Good for Her! If we or they sit by and try negotiating with bullies we are doing nothing but wasting oxygen as thats not how the bullies mentality works. Ha Shem has promised the land to Israel and he will deliver in his own time, however there is such a thing as justifiable war. Carry on my “mother” Israel!

Do what you ought to do, Israelis, and just don’t give the world a damn! Annan speaks for an indecent, troubled and loose macrocosm who didn’t give you a damn for more than two thousand years.

‘I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. That is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant’ quote by Martin Luther King.

May the powers of good rise up in this hour, may our hearts be stirred to love truth and hate lies (however small!) and that we all stand before an Awsome Creator who tries all of our hearts. Have mercy on us all O Lord.

Kofi Annan has declared himself an enemy of HaShem. What has happened to those who rose against Him?

The God of Israel will stand by His people. He is faithful to His Word.

It is not only Annan (jackass that he is). Annan probably supports the madman from Iran in his cliams re: the Holocaust.
Also after 2 weeks. where is the demand from the IRC the
vist the kidnapped Israeli solder, Where is “human rights watch” Their silence is deafening.
Maybe their weapons experts are too busy combing the beaches of Gaza with magnifing glasses looking for evidence of Israeli shelling with the BBC organising the
    massacre scenes.
But those the curse Israel will be Cursed says the LORD GOD OF ABRAHAM ISSAC AND JACOB

I thought that the Palastinians bleed Water instead of blood. Also, i thought that they laugh when some one die instead of cry. Another thing that baffles me is that all the Arab Governments suport eveil. They should understand that we are all creared by same God and in the presence of God all are equall. Israel has the rihgt to protect her citizins and look for them the best way they deem fit. The UN secratrey is a joker of the first odder, don’t listen to him, God is always with you. You have endured enough.

I am really curious about this man, I have always wondered with his prejudiced ways in the past, as to even regarding the map of Palestine instead of the reality that it is Israel, and his other friends sitting by his side in agreement with him, puppets that they are, Is he muslim? It seems like he leans towards this, in this case the man should be ousted from his job as he is not neutral, does not see the true correctness and him and his cronies have never stood with Israel but in opposition or “let us reason now,” come on, bull-oney! There is not righteous. The day is coming, the eyes of HaSHem run to and fro all over the earth and HE is capable to take care of this negative, abominable defilement of a human being.

To be critical of people we must first know what they belive, and then line it up with God’s Holy word, i.e. the Old (Tanach) and New Testament. Hizbollah were very wrong to abduct the IDF soldiers. This can be seen because the Lord Jesus Christ wants peace between all peoples of all nations. However, Hiz-bollah are causing enmity to increase between nations and this is only evil to its core.

True peace will come when everyone knows that the messiah as prophesied in Genesis chapter 49 and Psalms 22 is indeed Jesus. look at the Peshitta Rabbatai, Kiskah 36:1.2 this shows undoubatedly that the Old Rabbis believed in Christ.

Christ is the “stumbling block” to the whole situation. However, Christ is also the “answer” for true peace. Shalom and God bless
