Andrew Jaffee comments at IsraPundit on a Jerusalem Post story regarding Europe’s suggestion that Jerusalem “lease the settlement blocs from the Palestinian Authority rather than annex them outright.”
According to the article:
…the EU’s hope would be that Israel would ‘be generous’ and give the PA ‘more than the minimum.’
An incredulous Jaffee responds:
Israel makes up 1/6 of one percent of the territory of the Middle East, and the Jewish state should “be generous” and give the PA “more than the minimum?” There’s an old expression: ‘One half of nothing is still nothing.’ Israel has already been generous, giving up Gaza and now planning to give up the West Bank. Weāre back to square one, where the Arabs, and their EU supporters, seem bent on demanding that all of little Israel be given up.
I would add that even before the current “peace” process, “disengagement” and planned “convergence,” the Jews were more than generous with this land.
You see, the Balfour Declaration promised to the Jews not only all the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea to Israel, but also all of what is today the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan - much of which was part of biblical Israel.
In 1920, the Balfour Declaration for all intents and purposes became international law at the League of Nations’ meeting in San Remo.
But when it came time to seek independence, the Jews did not bring up these laws, and settled for whatever scrap of land the UN would agree to recognize Israel on. And that scrap was far smaller than the lands originally promised.
The Jews have already shown more generosity than any other people would even consider in relinquishing their biblical, historic, and legal claims to OVER half the land they are entitled to.
And this is why Ehud Olmert’s “convergence” plan is so dangerous, and should throw up warning signs for all Israelis. If the past century has taught Israel anything, it should be that no amount of land will ever assuage its enemies.
Hamas appears to be the only party seeing things clearly when it says: Peace means the elimination of Israel.

ISRAEL DOES NOT NEED TO HAVE ANY OTHER COUNTRY OR GOVERMENTAL BODY TO TELL THEM WHAT IS THEIRS. LISTENING TO THE REST OF THE WORLD WILL NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. GET THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO RUN ISRAEL AND TAKE BACK AND KEEP WHAT G-D GAVE YOU. AMERICA SEEMS TO BE BACKING AWAY FROM ISRAEL DUE TO THE THREATS MADE BY HAMAS AND THE OTHER ISLAMIC TERRORISTS GROUPS. LOOK AT THE U.S., WE ARE GIVING AWAY OUR LAND AND JOBS AND THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS BACKING IT UP. DON’T LISTEN TO ANYONE, STAND FIRM.

It continues to amaze me that the world opinion is so determined to ignore common history. It would be different if that history were somewhere hidden in the archives of ancient libraries inaccessible to the public. But, the history of the creation of modern Israel is made available in common historical records that can be found almost instantaneously. This is why we are unable to communicate the truth about the land of Israel to people. First of all they are spiritually blinded. This contributes to the fact that they are then unable to think straight and they continue to believe the lies of the enemy of our souls. We must never forget that this is a spiritual battle first. To deny Israel is to deny the God of Israel. To deny God is to deny His salvation to the world through the Messiah Yeshua. Satan does not want Israel to continue because he knows Israel is key in relationship to fulfilling the prophesies that will usher in the second coming of the Messiah. What must we do? Fast and pray my brothers and sisters, fast and pray. Messiah is coming again soon.

If France or Germany told Tony Blair to give up Scotland the answer would be an unequiviocal NO. Israel is an independent country in its own right and no foreign nation has the right to tell her to give up more of its land.
If the Jewish leaders belived the book G-D gave her 4,000 years ago they would see that the land promised to Abraham was from the Nile to the Euphratees so Israel is considerably smaller already than she should be.

As long as the world accepts Islam as a “peaceful religion” then these problems will continue. It seems like everyone questions the God of Israel & the God of the Christians but neva question the god of islam which instructs such evil & teaching of kilings of Jews & christians without a cause. The world seems to have a blind eye to it. We need much praying & repenting, i wish the whole world would be in sacloth & ashes & cry to God in repentance so that God could see our pain.

It always does amaze me that the US and Britain, two nations that continue to rule over the ancestral homelands of other peoples, can be leading diplomatic efforts to strong-arm Israel into relinquishing its own land to a people with phony claims.

You can tell the eyes of Israel are blinded,(this should make them see Jesus as their Messiah even more clear, as this is what Jesus said would happen),how else could they believe such lies?.
If Israel would willingly give away every inch of their land it would not change their enemies minds, they will still do what their goal is to “wipe out the very exsistance of Israeldown to the last seed”, and in their minds this can only be done when all Jews have been exterminated. Israel needs to open their blinded eyes and see Jesus. Read Psalms 118, this is exactly what is happening right now. Israel needs to cry out to our
Psalms 122: 6 tells us “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem”, the peace of the whole can only come when Israel sees the truth, God’s heart is Israel, they are written in the palms of his hands, he has chosen them to usher in and set up a righteous Kingdom with out evil and terror forever !!!!!!

I can only say, I see the Day of Lord approaching swiftly. The promises God gave to the nations as stated in Genesis 12, and the complete destruction of the nations when the Day of the Lord occurs as stated in Zechariah 14.
Bless be the Name of the Lord.. Even come quickly Lord Jesus…
Promises to Abram (New King James Version)
1 Now the LORD had said to Abram:
2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.ā
Zechariah 14 (New King James Version)
1 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken,
The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity,
But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle.

Would the United States of America give back Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Southern California, Southern Florida to Mexico and drive all the occupants off of these areas. The Prime Ministers of Israel since Rabin in 1993 due to International pressure of United Nations Resolutions 242, 338, and 1397 land for peace which brought on the Oslo Accords and now the RoadMap Plan have made insane decisions forsaking security and safety factors through major land concessions and through time will bring on a final conflict which the bible calls Armageddon which will bring on the return of Yeshua Hamasheach to this earth in power. He will establish His Kingdom on earth and bring in Everlasting Peace.

I could not agree more. Giving up the land not only violates God’s promise to Israel, it only causes the Islamic forces to seek more and more of the land until Israel is no more.

but now thus saith the lord that created thee, o jacob,and he that formed thee,o israel,fear not:for i have redeemed thee,i have called thee by thy name;thou art mine.
When thou passest through the waters, i will be with thee;and through the rivers,they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire,thou shalt not be burned;neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

I have this theory of Israelās seemingly innocuous pullback from the settlements that is analagous to a gun: pullback, then fire. The strategy is Israelās policy unfinished, cloaked in retreat. However, the land of Israel proper is plainly stated in the Tenach, and more. Pullback, then reacquire, while the Axis lizards lounge on Israeli land - like sitting ducks waiting to be culled. Watch.

Everything is falling into place just as the prophet Zechariah foretold. “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about……and in that day, I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut into pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” Zechariah Chapters 12-14 tells about the restoration of Jerusalem and the nations. These are God’s people and one day they will be a praise in the earth! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
